Chapter 349 Another One
Ethan didn't expect Dorian to show up so fast; he totally underestimated him.
"Dorian, what do you want? I won't let you hurt my son!" Jessie stood in front of Ethan, eyes full of caution.
Classic mom move, protecting her kid!
"You're already a Half-Step Grandmaster?" Dorian ignored Jessie and stared at Ethan, looking conflicted.
"So what if I am?" Ethan replied, wary.
"Where's Ignatius? Couldn't he stop you?" Dorian asked, puzzled.
"Your useless brother? I pinned him to the wall. He's stuck there now. Better go save him before it's too late!" Ethan sneered.
"Impossible! How could you be that strong?" Dorian's eyes widened.
"You're a master, right? Use your spiritual sense and see for yourself." Ethan smirked.
Dorian frowned and did as Ethan suggested. His face turned grim.
Ethan was puzzled, thinking, 'Why does Dorian, a master, struggle with his spiritual sense?'
Even as a new Half-Step Grandmaster, Ethan could control his spiritual sense easily. Was Dorian even weaker than him?
Both Ignatius and Dorian confused Ethan!
Or maybe Ethan was just naturally gifted with better control?
"You dare hurt Ignatius so badly!" Dorian's voice was full of anger.
"He's useless. You imprisoned my mom for years; why can't I hurt him? Not killing him is already a favor!" Ethan sneered.
"Dorian, if you harm Ethan, forget about getting what you want!" Jessie threatened.
Worried Ethan couldn't match Dorian, Jessie was ready to protect him, even if it meant falling into Dorian's hands again.
"Mom, don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you!" Ethan pulled Jessie behind him, determined.
"In just half a year, you've reached Half-Step Grandmaster! Jessie, you've been lying to me all along, haven't you?" Dorian stared at Ethan, piecing it together.
"Yeah, I know what you're after. Whatever my mom told you, it's with me! You got fooled!" Ethan mocked.
"No, Ethan, don't say that!" Jessie was shocked, trying to defend Ethan again.
"Mom, no need to hide anything anymore. What he's been sneaking around doing, others have been doing openly for ages. The folks from Celestia Vale at least know what they want, which makes them way smarter than him!" Ethan mocked Dorian.
"What do you mean? Has someone from Celestia Vale already made a move on you? How are you still standing?" Dorian's eyes widened in shock. Ethan's words hit him hard.
"You're clueless, and you're nothing in Celestia Vale. Even Ronald knows the secret, but you don't!" Ethan sneered.
"I don't care if what you're saying is true or not. Since you claim the item is with you, hand it over now, and I'll let you go safely!" Dorian extended his hand, looking grim.
"You want what's on me? You probably don't even know what it's called, do you?" Ethan chuckled. With a thought, the Sun and Moon Beads appeared, floating in mid-air in front of him.
"What is this?" Dorian looked at the beads, eyes filled with confusion and eagerness.
Jessie was shocked too. She recognized the Moon Bead but had never seen the Sun Bead.
With Dorian there, Jessie didn't ask questions and just watched nervously.
"This is what you've been dreaming of!" Ethan sneered.
"Fine, hand it over then!" Dorian sneered and stepped forward to grab it.
"Hold on!" A loud shout rang out, and two figures appeared.
Ethan didn't expect them, especially in Everglow City!
It was Ronald and Larry, who had previously tried to seize the Sun and Moon Beads!
Ronald was a master-level expert from Celestia Vale. Even if Dorian and Ronald weren't close, they knew of each other.
"Ronald, you're not here to snatch the Sun and Moon Beads too, are you?" Ethan's heart skipped a beat.
Ronald's appearance created a delicate balance, making both Ronald and Dorian wary and hesitant to act.
"Ronald, why are you in Everglow City?" Dorian asked, eyeing Ronald warily.
"I'm here to find Ethan, of course! Ten days ago, he severely injured my disciple. I went to great lengths to heal him and came to Everglow City to visit some old friends. I was planning to return to Novaria to settle the score with him, but I ran into him here!" Ronald explained calmly.
"Dorian, even the elders of Celestia Vale need a reasonable excuse to snatch something, unlike you, who are so blatant! You really have guts; don't you know the Sun and Moon Beads are taboo for Celestia Vale?" Ethan sneered.
"Dorian, are you trying to snatch the Sun and Moon Beads?" Ronald asked, staring at Dorian.
