Chapter 176 Meeting Kenny for the First Time
"Sarah, who is this? Your boyfriend?" Maria asked nervously, holding Sarah's hand.
"Just call him brother-in-law!"
Sarah pursed her lips, whether from her own perspective or from Chloe's perspective, this brother-in-law wasn't bad, as Maria had to call him brother-in-law as well.
"Ah? Is he really your brother-in-law? Then we're done for, there's no way to run away from him! What do we do now? Can your brother-in-law handle them?"
Maria naturally assumed that Ethan was Sarah's boyfriend, and immediately wore a bitter expression on her face.
Sarah couldn't help but feel exasperated. So this girl was actually thinking about leaving Ethan behind and running away on her own?
"Don't worry, with just these guys, your brother-in-law can handle them with one hand!"
Although she was speechless in her heart, Sarah still scoffed and didn't put the imposing opponents in her eyes at all.
"I'll give you all a chance. I don't want trouble. Disappear from my sight immediately, otherwise, none of you will be able to leave!"
Ethan expressionlessly scanned the group of guys and finally said calmly to the crew-cut youth.
“Do you even comprehend the situation, you fool? Daring to threaten us on your own, aren't you afraid your teeth will fall out from laughing? Today, I'll demonstrate how you won't get away with this!
The crew-cut youth immediately became angry and ashamed upon hearing this, and signaled to his companions. The group of them all charged towards Ethan at the same time.
Although these guys were tall and strong in appearance, they were actually just skilled in some street thug fighting techniques. They thought they could just surround the seemingly weak Ethan and beat him up, but no one expected that before they could even reach him, Ethan's merciless kick had already flown toward them.
The five big guys, each weighing more than 150 pounds, were all kicked and sent flying in a parabolic trajectory, landing three or four meters away.
The people around quickly dispersed, luckily they had kept their distance from the beginning, so no innocent bystanders were harmed, but the scene was still chaotic.
"Wow! Brother-in-law is so cool, I didn't expect him to be so good at fighting! Sarah, where did you find such an amazing man?"
Seeing this situation, Maria, who had been wearing a frown, immediately became excited. Her eyes sparkled as she stared at Ethan, and she asked Sarah while patting her arm.
As Ethan's cold stare bore into him, the crew-cut youth's malicious grin vanished, replaced by a look of shock and fear. His legs trembled uncontrollably as he attempted to flee, but they betrayed him, causing him to trip and fall in a clumsy, embarrassing manner.
"I told you to leave, didn't I?"
Ethan took steps forward, slowly approaching the young man with a crew cut, scaring him to the point where he crawled backward.
"If you move again, I'll break your legs!"
Ethan said coldly, his expression emotionless.
Upon hearing this, the young man with a crew cut dared not move again, his eyes filled with fear as he trembled incessantly, even his teeth began to chatter.
In the eyes of the young man with a crew cut, Ethan's fighting prowess was almost inhuman; when had he ever witnessed such a skilled expert?
“What...what do you want? I made a mistake... Can't you forgive me? Please...just let me go?" The crew-cut young man stuttered, his forehead beaded with sweat, as he pleaded with Ethan.
"I already warned you earlier, but unfortunately you didn't listen! Is it too late to apologize now? Everyone needs to pay the price for their actions!"
At Ethan's words, he snorted in derision.
To Ethan, someone like this habitual offender who had deceived countless honest people, no amount of punishment would be excessive.
However, after all, they were in the imperial capital where law and order was quite strict.
A group of patrolling officers, as most people had expected, arrived at the scene.
After all, the commotion caused by Ethan's one-against-five confrontation was quite significant.
“What's the situation here?" The captain surveyed the scene, his gaze shifting from the five groaning hoodlums on the ground to Ethan, who stood facing the crew-cut young man.
"I'm reporting him! This guy attacked and injured people, he's a thug! He has already injured five of my colleagues and now he wants to attack me!"
Upon seeing the patrolling officers, the crew-cut young man immediately saw them as a lifeline and raised his hand, shouting at the captain.
"Get down on the ground and put your hands on your head!”
Upon hearing this, the officer immediately drew his baton and pointed at Ethan, shouting sternly.
"Hold on!"
Before Ethan or Sarah could react, a man's voice suddenly rang out from behind the crowd.
Shortly thereafter, a group of individuals came into view in front of Ethan and the others. Among them was a well-dressed, attractive young man with a few bodyguards in tow. He spoke abruptly before walking off from the group.
"Kenny! What are you doing here?" exclaimed Maria, the first to recognize the newcomer with delight on her face.
Who else could this person be if not Kenny?
Why can't I be here when you are? Is this street only reserved for Miss Maria from the Miller family?" Kenny's smile had a touch of warmth and brotherly affection towards Maria as he spoke.
"I didn't mean that. But since you're here, that guy intentionally tried to provoke me with fake antiques. Sarah, her boyfriend, and I got into a conflict with him to defend me. It should be no big deal for you, right?" Maria pouted, then casually pointed to the young man with the flat-top hairstyle, explaining.
"Nonsense. These porcelain pieces of mine are all real. If you don't believe it, take them for authentication!" the young man with the flat-top hairstyle quickly retorted in a loud voice upon hearing those words.
Upon hearing this, the guards finally understood what was going on. Apparently, incidents like this were common, so they didn't give Ethan a hard time anymore. It seemed like they wanted to see how things would unfold.
Mainly because Kenny and his bodyguards had an intimidating presence that clearly indicated their extraordinary background. As guards, they had the ability to discern such things.
Furthermore, it was evident that these people who tried to provoke others were taking advantage, so they had no reason to harm Ethan.
Kenny observed the shattered porcelain on the floor and a slight smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. His posture, which felt awkward to Ethan but appeared elegant to everyone else, as he effortlessly picked up a piece with his two fingers.
"You said this porcelain is real?" Kenny asked with a smile.
"Of course! I'm not afraid of your authentication. Surely you won't disregard reason, right?" It was ridiculous that this person, who made a living by taking advantage of others with fake antiques, was now talking about reason with Kenny so brazenly.
I have always been reasonable," Kenny nodded, refraining from further comment. His gaze then shifted to Ethan.
Ethan felt a twitch in his eyebrows, sensing that this sophisticated individual was addressing him directly, causing a sense of unease.
