Chapter 578 The Panicked Seth
"Seriously, Francis, a grandmaster, would just hand over his treasure to you?" Patricia scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"Believe whatever you want. Why should I waste my breath on a bunch of bullies like you?" Ethan shot back, not even bothering to hide his disdain.
"So, what now? Those beads look pretty special. Are we really gonna throw down?" Ambrose whispered to Patricia, looking worried.
"Of course, we're gonna fight. Why else are we all here? You think this is a joke? No matter how powerful those beads are, in the hands of someone at the early master level, how much can they really do? We’re eight late master levels. We got this," Seth jumped in before Patricia could answer.
"Exactly. The only thing to worry about is if he chickens out. If he fights, it's our chance," Patricia nodded, agreeing with Seth.
"Seriously? You all gang up on a junior and still need to talk about it? Aren't you embarrassed? Are we fighting or what?" Ethan snapped, clearly losing patience.
"Of course, we'll fight. If you’ve got the guts, take down that tower, and we'll have a fair fight," Patricia shot back at Ethan.
"Fine," Ethan agreed without hesitation. As soon as he spoke, the Requiem Tower floating above him vanished, along with the barrier protecting him.
"Now's our chance, let's take him down together," Patricia's eyes gleamed as she charged at Ethan.
The others quickly followed, not wanting Patricia to get all the glory.
Ethan's treasures kept popping up one after another, and their minds were no longer just on the Sacred Wood. They wanted those defensive artifacts and those two beads too.
With Ethan's treasures, they didn't care about the consequences of killing him. The Wilson family would be nothing to them.
"Finally. I was worried Francis might scare you off," Ethan smirked as they rushed at him. The Sun and Moon Beads in front of him started spinning rapidly.
Facing eight opponents, all stronger than him by two levels, Ethan knew he couldn't win on his own. But he had the Sun and Moon Beads to back him up.
Plus, Seth had crossed the line by threatening him with Angela. Seth had to pay for that.
If Seth had run, it would’ve been a pain to track him down. But since he came to Ethan, there was no way Ethan would let him escape.
To Ethan, Patricia and the others were just seven more spectators. Seth was on his must-kill list, and today was the day he’d die.
With the Sun and Moon Beads shielding him, the energy waves swirling around Ethan were enough to keep the other seven at bay. They didn't dare get too close, and their attacks on the beads were useless.
This unexpected turn of events made Patricia and the others look pretty grim. But the one freaking out the most was Seth. Seeing Ethan zeroing in on him, his heart sank.
"If you wanna die, I'll make it happen!" Seth roared, throwing everything he had at Ethan.
"Who's dying is still up for debate," Ethan shot back, unleashing a flurry of eighteen palm strikes in the blink of an eye.
Seth couldn't keep up. The speed of Ethan's attacks was insane, and he couldn't stop even if he wanted to. The first few hits seemed like nothing, but the pressure kept building with each strike, making Seth's heart pound. By the last hit, Seth knew he couldn't block it, no matter what.
"Help me!" Seth yelled, panicking as Ethan's relentless strikes came at him. Ambrose and Patricia, who were closest, didn't lift a finger to help.
"Too late to run now," Ethan smirked. His eighteen palms were so powerful that even Raymond, a grandmaster, could only block one. Seth, a late master level, didn't stand a chance.
In a flash, under the horrified stares of Patricia and the others, Seth grunted and was sent flying, crashing into the ground and leaving a deep pit.
A late master level expert, one of the top three among the eight, was sent flying by Ethan, an early master level. His combat power was off the charts.
Patricia and the others just stood there, dumbfounded, forgetting to attack. They finally realized something was seriously wrong. Ethan wouldn't face eight late master levels unless he had something up his sleeve and was confident of winning. An early master level expert wouldn't be that reckless.
Coughing up blood, Seth looked up in horror at the approaching Ethan, disbelief all over his face. "How can you be this strong? This isn't the power of an early master level!"
Seth's question was on everyone's mind. They all waited for Ethan's answer.
"It's not that I'm too strong; you're just too weak," Ethan snorted dismissively.
Seth, now severely injured, couldn't even lift a finger, let alone fight back. He panicked, realizing his greed had cost him big time.
"Are you gonna kill me?" Seth asked, unwilling to accept his fate.
"So what if I am? You think I'm scared of the ML Guild? Honestly, I've been pretty pissed off lately. Maybe it's time the ML Guild disappears," Ethan sneered. Since Angela was captured by Seth, not only him but the entire ML Guild was doomed.
