Chapter 311 The Reckless Chubby Man
The Torres Mansion was buzzing, but without Ethan, Chloe and Sarah were bored out of their minds.
Chloe and Sarah hung out with Camila on the garden swing, waiting for Ethan to come back.
Luckily, Camila's giggles kept the mood light, so Chloe and Sarah didn't get too restless. Every now and then, their laughter echoed through the garden.
Even though they weren't in the main party area, their cheerful vibe and striking looks caught the eyes of passersby.
Orlando roamed through the crowd, unable to find Chloe, Sarah, or Ethan. Just as he was wondering where they went, a burst of laughter grabbed his attention.
It turned out that Chloe and Sarah were chasing Camila around the swing and having a blast.
Seeing Chloe and Sarah's radiant smiles, Orlando was completely captivated!
They looked so different from how they were in the car earlier. Orlando, who had been a bit annoyed, was now practically drooling.
"What do you think Robert and Ethan are talking about? They've been in there forever," Sarah grumbled, pouting as she pushed Camila on the swing after their playtime.
"It's only been a little while. Do you miss Ethan already?" Chloe teased, noticing Sarah's longing look.
"No way. He brought us to this party and then vanished. What's his deal?" Sarah's face turned red as she tried to defend herself.
"If you're so worried, why not go find him? Robert wouldn't stop you!" Chloe suggested, knowing Sarah was anxious. She also felt waiting outside was pointless and wanted to join Ethan inside.
"Fine, let's go. I want to see what they're up to," Sarah said, picking up Camila and getting ready to leave.
But before they could move, Orlando suddenly appeared, blocking their path.
"Where are you lovely ladies headed? How about a drink with me?" Orlando's wrinkled face and sleazy smile made Chloe and Sarah feel sick.
"What's your problem? Didn't I make myself clear outside?" Sarah put Camila down and pointed at Orlando, demanding an answer.
Her outburst caught the attention of some nearby guests, making Orlando feel embarrassed.
"Isn't that Orlando? What's he doing bothering those two ladies?"
"Orlando's a notorious playboy. He's definitely up to no good!"
"He's got his eyes on Chloe and Sarah? Orlando must be crazy! The Harris family alone is a handful, and now he's messing with the Miller family's daughter?"
"I heard the Harris family's main branch is also in the capital, which is even more powerful than the Miller family!"
"This is gonna be interesting. Bet he doesn't even know who these ladies are. He's got some nerve making a move on them. What a reckless guy!"
The crowd started buzzing even more. Some looked at Orlando with pity, while others were ready for some drama.
Yet, Orlando was clueless. It was obvious Chloe and Sarah weren't just anyone, considering no other guys dared to approach them.
But Orlando didn't get it. Sarah's public scolding left him humiliated, and his smile vanished.
'When have I ever been scolded in public?' he thought.
Hearing the whispers from the guests made him even angrier.
"You really don't know what's good for you. No woman I've ever set my eyes on has dared to disrespect me like this. Don't make me angry," Orlando warned through gritted teeth, his face darkening.
"Look before you leap. You make me sick! You wanna act tough with me? Believe it or not, your pathetic company will be bankrupt by tomorrow!" Sarah's attitude had changed since being with Ethan. She spoke more freely and didn't care about sparing Orlando's feelings.
"Forget it. Why waste time on this scoundrel? Let's find Ethan. You're the young lady of the Harris family; don't make a fool of yourself," Chloe said, not taking Orlando seriously and ready to leave with Sarah.
"You think I want to waste my breath on this chubby man? Camila, let's go!" Even as she was leaving, Sarah couldn't resist taking another jab at Orlando, pulling Camila along with her and Chloe.
"Hold on... You must apologize to me, or no one is leaving!" Orlando couldn't believe that after being humiliated, Chloe and Sarah treated him like air and just walked away. His heavy body trembled as he blocked their path again.
"You think I won't deal with you, and now you're getting bold?" Sarah didn't expect Orlando to still be looking for trouble. Her eyebrows arched, and her tone suddenly dropped.
Sarah rarely got truly angry. If she was still cursing, it meant she hadn't taken it to heart and would forget it soon. However, when she stared at someone seriously and questioned them slowly, it meant she was furious.
Sensing Sarah's real anger, Chloe knew things were about to get bad. She quickly pulled Sarah, saying, "Ignore him. I don't believe he dares to do anything to us."
With that, Chloe tried to pull Sarah around Orlando to leave.
Chloe and Sarah managed to get around him, but Camila, holding Sarah's hand, couldn't keep up and lagged behind.
Sarah wanted to pick Camila up, but before she could, Orlando forcibly grabbed Camila!
