Chapter 493 The Sudden Appearance of Phoenix
As Brady saw the situation, his smile grew even wider.
Upon hearing Ethan's words, Brady couldn't help but laugh, "You see, I'm willing to accept your decision, but they don't agree."
"We support Ethan's decision."
"Yes, we support it too."
At this moment, Beverly and Lucas, along with the heads of several branch families, stood behind Ethan to show their support.
At this point, they naturally had to firmly stand in Ethan's camp; otherwise, the situation would become one-sided, and Ethan, the newly appointed head, would become a laughingstock.
"We support Ethan's decision too." More crucially, Dashiell brought the remaining members of the Wilson family to stand behind Ethan.
The originally one-sided situation instantly became evenly matched. With Dashiell's support, Ethan's side seemed even stronger.
Brady's smile immediately faded, and he stared intently at Ethan, exuding a master-level aura.
Dorian immediately stepped in front of Ethan, squinting his eyes and asking in a deep voice, "Brady, what do you intend to do?"
"Don't be nervous. I can give him this chance to make a move against me in public." Ethan patted Dorian on the shoulder and stepped out from behind him.
Even if Brady had the strength to deal with Ethan, he might not dared to do it.
At this moment, the ground suddenly shook violently. On a nearby hill, two beams of light shot into the sky, and strong winds scattered in all directions. In just a moment, trees and rocks were flying everywhere on the hilltop.
Everyone's eyes instinctively turned towards the commotion; they knew Elmer and Howard had started fighting.
"Go and make sure Elmer and Howard don't destroy my hill," Ethan turned and instructed Trevor, who was not far away.
Trevor immediately understood Ethan's meaning. Since he had the Token of the Gods, getting Howard to leave was just a matter of a word.
"Wouldn't it be a shame if Elmer was killed by Howard?" Brady asked indifferently.
"That won't happen. At least I won't allow it." Ethan shook his head confidently.
"With just that Half-Step Grandmaster Trevor, you're underestimating Howard too much!" Brady sneered mockingly.
"Let's talk about us. Now, half of the branch families support you, and half support me. You have the support of the Elder Council, and I have the support of the Shadow Gang. Do you think you can act with impunity?" Ethan asked, changing the subject.
"You're joking. How could I threaten you? It's just that I want to follow your orders, but I'm afraid I can't," Brady shook his head helplessly and sighed.
"Brady, can you be any more shameless?" Zephyr asked angrily.
"I don't want to talk with an idiot like you," Brady coldly snorted, not taking Zephyr seriously at all.
"You seem to have forgotten that Ethan also has the support of the three families. Brady, you can't afford to act with impunity," Clarence stepped forward and reminded the Wilson family members in a deep voice.
Brady's supporters looked grim upon hearing this. Even if the Wilson family was evenly matched internally, they could still stalemate. But Ethan had the support of three other families.
"This is a Wilson family matter. How is it appropriate for the other three families to get involved?" Brady's face darkened.
"There's nothing inappropriate about it; I invited them," Ethan reminded him seriously.
"As a dignified head of the Wilson family, you need external help to resolve internal matters?" Brady asked angrily.
"As long as it solves the problem, I don't mind using any method. Achieving the goal is the most important thing," Ethan said.
"Do you think with the support of those three families, you can win us?" Brady asked in a deep voice.
"I seem to be late!" Suddenly, Phoenix appeared beside Ethan and the others.
"Phoenix, what are you doing here?" Ethan raised an eyebrow, looking surprised. Phoenix's arrival was clearly unexpected.
Phoenix glanced at the fierce battle on the hill and said thoughtfully, "I'm here to congratulate you, but it seems a lot is happening in the Wilson family."
If the other three families weren't enough to make Brady wary, the sudden appearance of Phoenix certainly made him nervous.
'Why does Phoenix appear at this time? Is he really here to congratulate Ethan on becoming the head of the Wilson family? What does Ethan do to deserve this? Is Phoenix representing himself or Celestia Vale?' Countless thoughts flashed through Brady's mind!
At this moment, the battle on the hill suddenly ended. Shortly after, Elmer and Trevor quickly approached. Elmer looked a bit disheveled, with blood on his mouth and body, seemingly seriously injured.
When Trevor saw Phoenix present, his expression changed slightly, and he quickly stepped forward to greet him.
Ethan stared at the still-standing Elmer and asked indifferently, "Are you okay?"
"Just stretching my muscles. Howard isn't much better off than me," Elmer snorted arrogantly. If Ethan hadn't ordered so decisively, he wouldn't be in this situation.
"Phoenix, you must have something important to discuss with me, right?" Ethan frowned and asked Phoenix.
"I do have something to discuss with you, but for now, you should handle your family matters first," Phoenix replied with a smile.
"Why haven't you kicked Brady out of the Wilson family yet?" Elmer asked Ethan impatiently, pointing at Brady.
"What's the rush? After all, he's the Great Elder of the Wilson family. Don't you see he still has a group of supporters?" Ethan said mockingly.
"Do you all have a death wish?" Elmer glanced at Micah and the others behind Brady and asked in a deep voice.
Brady's supporters turned pale. Elmer dared to confront Howard; they were genuinely terrified.
"Do you think you still have the ability to act recklessly in front of me?" Brady shouted angrily.
"What if you count me in?" Dorian asked.
"And me." Zephyr stepped forward. Even if he couldn't handle Brady, he could easily deal with the branch family members.
Although Trevor and Ethan didn't speak, they were clearly forces to be reckoned with.
As for Brady's side, apart from him, a late-stage master level, there was no one else of significant strength. The remaining elders were just ordinary martial artists.
Unfortunately, the people he had placed in the Shadow Gang, like Eli, were now incapacitated; otherwise, he would have had a few more Half-Step Grandmasters.
"Brady, what do we do now?" Micah asked Brady, clearly panicking, his face pale.
