Chapter 427 Unexpected Gains
Chloe glanced at Ethan, who was drenched in sweat and looked pretty worn out.
"Maybe this will wear Ethan out. Look at him, helping us become warriors has taken a toll on him!" Chloe said, feeling a bit guilty.
"I'm okay. Just a bit drained. Tonight, I can only help you two. Alice and Hannah will have to wait until tomorrow," Ethan said with a helpless smile.
He thought he could help all four at once but underestimated the energy drain!
If it weren't for the demonic energy of Asura Bloodhand restoring his energy quickly, he wouldn't have risked boosting Chloe and Sarah's strength all at once.
"We're not in a rush; make sure you're okay first!" Alice and Hannah quickly said.
"Are you really alright?" Chloe asked again.
"Really, I'm fine. Just need a night's rest! You two are now real warriors, and your energy will circulate on its own as I guided. It'll happen slowly and naturally, but it's great for your bodies!" Ethan assured them.
"I feel so powerful right now. They say it's an exaggeration to punch a cow to death, but I feel like I could!" Sarah said excitedly, waving her fists.
"You're a warrior now. If you consciously speed up the energy flow and release it through your palms, killing a cow is actually normal!" Ethan reminded her with a smile.
"What? Am I really that strong now?" Sarah was stunned.
"Yep, so let's keep this within the family. I'll help Jessie later, but for now, don't tell anyone. If someone notices, just say it's from your own efforts, got it?" Ethan instructed seriously.
"Are you worried the military will find out and Remington and Luke will come to Novaria to bust your chops?" Chloe laughed, seeing through Ethan's thoughts.
"Don't say what you see through. Besides, I couldn't do this before; it's only recently I've been able to. I wasn't hiding it or deceiving anyone!" Ethan explained with a wry smile.
"Then we'll all keep the secret to avoid misunderstandings!" Chloe agreed.
"You all go rest. I need to recover some energy," Ethan said, sending them off. He had to visit the military in the morning and needed to recharge quickly.
Besides the Asura Bloodhand in the purple bottle that gave him demonic energy, he still had some aura left from the Sun and Moon Beads he got from Herong.
Thinking about Raymond's message via Trevor, he took out the bottle.
"Sorry, I could've kept you longer, but someone wants the bottle back, so I might as well finish it now," Ethan sighed, planning to drain the demonic energy in one go. Even if he couldn't convert it immediately, he could store it in the Sun and Moon Beads.
These beads had a much larger capacity than his Sea of Energy, so it wasn't a problem.
As the night went on, Ethan's strength quickly recovered. The more he consumed, the more he needed to replenish, making his Sea of Energy more abundant and advancing his strength.
In other words, using energy when needed wasn't bad for Ethan; it was actually beneficial, like gaining strength through combat.
But this improvement was still too slow for Ethan, and he hadn't reached the master level yet.
"Ethan, what are you doing?" As dawn approached, Ethan felt his energy was almost back and planned to use the Sun and Moon Beads to absorb the remaining demonic energy. Suddenly, Asura Bloodhand's terrified voice echoed in his mind.
"You can talk to me?" Ethan raised an eyebrow, surprised.
"I asked you, what are you doing? Are you trying to kill me?" Asura Bloodhand roared.
Luckily, only Ethan could hear this voice; otherwise, the whole building would be alarmed.
"Why are you shouting? Even if I am going to kill you, do you have any objections? Even if you do, it doesn't matter," Ethan said coldly.
"You can't kill me! I don't want to die yet!" Asura Bloodhand shouted.
"But why should I listen to you?" Ethan sneered.
"Wait, if you promise not to kill me, I can tell you a secret and give you unexpected benefits!" Asura Bloodhand offered.
"Let's hear it," Ethan's curiosity was piqued.
"Promise not to kill me first, and I'll tell you!" Asura Bloodhand said.
"Are you out of your mind, trying to negotiate with me? Then you can go to hell!" Ethan didn't expect this and immediately activated the Sun and Moon Beads to drain him.
"Wait, I know the entrance to a secret realm!" Asura Bloodhand screamed in panic.
