As Ethan gazed at the black-clad figure. His hand remained poised in the air without any movement, he appeared as steady as a mountain.

Suddenly, the figure in black asked, "Hey, do you want to go back to the Wilson family?"

“I asked, do you want to go back to the Wilson family and take your place as the heir? If you're on board, I can guarantee a smooth transition with the Elder Council and other family members," declared the black-clad figure.

"I don't understand, aren't you working for that old guy Brady Wilson?" Ethan's face began to show uncertainty.

"Is that a no?" Elmer's tone carried a hint of annoyance.
"If I reject you, are you going to kill me?" Ethan mocked dismissively.
“I, Elmer, always keep my promises. I won't harm you today, but I can't guarantee the same for next time! Kid, you've really impressed me. In a short span, you've shown tremendous growth. You are undoubtedly the top choice for the Wilson family! Take your time to consider my offer before dismissing it," Elmer's intimidating presence suddenly softened, indicating he may not have any immediate plans to harm Ethan.
Ethan let out a sigh of relief but became more confused.
He wondered if Elmer really supported him to take over the Wilson family.
“If you ever attempt to harm me in the future, you'll regret it!" Ethan stated calmly, neither accepting nor rejecting Elmer's offer.
He shouldn't cut ties with such a formidable enemy until he was strong enough to defend himself, regardless of the other party's motives.
“Good! I admire your resolve, just like your father! We will cross paths again, kid!" The man in black chuckled heartily before vanishing into the nearby forest without a trace.

I have no desire to be manipulated by anyone," Ethan responded casually.
