Chapter 596 There Was a Female Admirer
"Do you know who you can trust now?" Ethan shot a glance at the still-shaken Bonnie, giving her a reassuring smile.
"Thanks for saving me!" Bonnie nodded, her eyes now burning with anger as she looked at Alessandro.
"Are you seriously going to go against the ML Guild today?" Alessandro was taken aback by how quickly Ethan had whisked Bonnie away. With Ethan protecting her, getting to Bonnie meant dealing with him first.
"Yeah, so what? I can't just stand by and watch a master-level jerk bully someone defenseless," Ethan shot back without missing a beat.
"The ML Guild and the Ladies Guild have always been tight. Today, I see just how low the ML Guild can go. You think you can fool me with these dirty tricks?" Bonnie didn't hold back, her fierce side fully unleashed now that Ethan had her back.
Ethan found Bonnie's fiery temper pretty endearing. He thought she was quite adorable, though he wished she'd been a bit nicer when they first met on the road.
"Well said! Jerks like him deserve every bit of it!" Ethan gave Bonnie a thumbs-up.
"Margare is still with them," Bonnie said, her satisfaction from the scolding giving way to growing anxiety. Now that she'd crossed the ML Guild, Margare's situation might be even worse.
"Don't worry. If he captures you, I'll just rescue both of you," Ethan said with a carefree laugh.
"You're asking for it!" Alessandro's face twisted with rage, and he lunged at Ethan with all his might.
"You're even worse than Seth," Ethan sneered, meeting Alessandro's attack head-on.
Even Seth couldn't handle this move, and Alessandro was no different. By the time he realized the danger, it was too late. A scream echoed in the air as Alessandro crashed to the ground, coughing up blood.
Fabio and another ML Guild disciple stood frozen, their eyes wide with fear as they stared at Ethan. Bonnie, on the other hand, looked at Ethan with admiration.
'Damn, did I overdo it? What if she falls for me?' Ethan's heart skipped a beat, but he didn't have time to dwell on it. He turned to Bonnie and said, "Let's go find Margare."
"Thank you!" Bonnie was over the moon, deeply impressed by Ethan's strength. Judging by his voice and build, he didn't seem very old. She quickly followed him, her cheeks flushing.
Before the other two ML Guild disciples could even react, Ethan knocked them out cold with two silver needles.
Seeing things go south, Alessandro tried to make a run for it. But Ethan wasn't about to let him off that easy and knocked him out cold too.
"If I hadn't promised not to go on a killing spree, I'd have wiped you out today to rid the world of your evil," Ethan muttered, looking down at the unconscious Alessandro with a cold snort.
"You're really powerful. Can I see your face?" Bonnie asked, gathering her courage and looking at Ethan with hopeful eyes.
"Let's find Margare first before they realize what's happening." Ethan felt a bit troubled, not expecting to attract another admirer on this trip.
Bonnie had to push down her curiosity and followed Ethan up the mountain. As they climbed, Ethan took out the hidden sentries one by one, making the ascent feel like a breeze.
"How are we going to find Margare in such a big place?" Bonnie asked anxiously as they reached the halfway point and saw a bunch of buildings above.
"Just stick with me." Ethan had already pinpointed the group of captives with his spiritual sense and led Bonnie straight to them.
Near the top of the mountain, in a restaurant, the missing people were being held. Their faces were filled with fear and anxiety.
When they were first captured, they were taken to a dark cave. After a while, even the authorities stopped looking for them, and the captors moved them here.
Four Half-Step Grandmasters and dozens of martial artists guarded the restaurant's entrances. It was nearly impossible for the captives to escape.
But these guards were no match for Ethan. He moved like a ghost, and they fell one by one to his silver needles. When the guards inside the restaurant noticed something was off and came out to check, they were also easily taken down by Ethan.
"Alright, go find Margare and get these people down the mountain," Ethan told Bonnie and turned to leave.
"Wait, where are you going?" Bonnie asked urgently as she saw Ethan about to leave.
"Someone's coming. I'll hold them off. You get down the mountain. I'll catch up later. Don't worry about me," Ethan said and vanished into the night.
In a dense forest on the west side of Vast Mountain, a spatial portal suddenly opened, and several figures rushed out.
"Something's happening on the mountain. Who dares to mess with the ML Guild's plans?" The old leader looked towards Vast Mountain, his face darkening.
"Is the ML Guild really that impressive? Such a small sect, yet so arrogant," a cold voice came from the forest, and the masked Ethan emerged from the shadows.
