Chapter 351 Phoenix Appeared
Ethan ignored Dorian's sneer, standing there without a hint of emotion.
"Something's off with him!" Ronald said, noticing Ethan's strange behavior. Since they started climbing, Ethan's vibe kept changing, and now he seemed like a different person.
Dorian's face showed mixed emotions, sensing something was wrong with Ethan too.
"Ethan, what's up with you?" Jessie asked, feeling a powerful aura around him that made her hard to breathe.
"I don't know! Mom, stay back. I can't control my body!" Ethan said, looking strained.
Jessie couldn't just leave him.
"What's wrong?" Jessie asked, rushing to hold him, worried.
"We need to restrain him!" Dorian said, frowning. Ethan's aura was getting stronger, and they couldn't wait any longer.
"Yeah, let's restrain him first. If this keeps up, it'll attract attention," Ronald agreed. They couldn't afford to clash now, especially with master-level experts possibly showing up.
Just as Dorian and Ronald were about to act, something else happened.
A golden light burst from Ethan, pushing Jessie back. She managed to stay on her feet but couldn't get closer.
Dorian and Ronald's faces changed, and they rushed at Ethan from different directions.
Even with their skills, they could only get a bit closer than Jessie before being blocked by a powerful force, keeping them three yards away.
"What's going on? How does he have such strong energy?" Dorian was shocked, unable to break through the barrier.
"It's the Sun and Moon Beads, not his own power!" Ronald reminded.
The Sun and Moon Beads started spinning around Ethan, faster and faster until they were a blur.
Ethan began to float, rising into the sky.
Dorian and Ronald looked up, shocked.
"What's happening? His aura is stronger than both of ours!" Ronald said, his eyelids twitching. Ethan's aura had surpassed Half-Step Grandmaster and even master level.
The aura kept rising, showing no signs of stopping.
"What kind of monster is he?" Dorian was equally stunned.
"What do we do now? He can't control this power. Are we just gonna watch?" Ronald was genuinely anxious. If this kept up, the commotion would attract other experts, especially grandmasters who could sense such a powerful aura.
With Ethan's power rising, if his aura surpassed the grandmaster level, a bunch of experts would show up in no time.
"Ronald, we haven't been friends, but I've heard of you. How about we team up?" Dorian hesitated before suggesting.
"Team up? How?" Ronald asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's simple. We can't handle Ethan now, but we can take a hostage. When he recovers, we can force him to hand over the beads," Dorian said, eyeing Jessie.
Jessie, focused on Ethan, didn't even think of escaping, even though she knew Dorian was eyeing her.
Even if she wanted to escape, she couldn't get away from Dorian and Ronald.
"Alright, she's Ethan's mom. Let's take her and force him to hand over the Sun and Moon Beads," Ronald said, rushing towards Jessie.
Just then, a golden light flashed in front of Jessie, and Ronald was hit by a massive force, sending him flying.
"Phoenix?" Dorian's face turned grim as he saw Phoenix appear.
"Have you both forgotten the rules set by Celestia Vale?" Phoenix stood in front of Jessie, expressionless, questioning Ronald and Dorian.
"Phoenix, no. I had no intention of harming this woman!" Ronald, panicking, quickly shook his head and explained.
"I will report today's events truthfully, and the elders will deliver justice," Phoenix said, clearly not intending to let Ronald off.
Ronald's face turned pale.
Phoenix's appearance made it impossible to take the Sun and Moon Beads from Ethan. Even if Ronald and Dorian teamed up, they wouldn't stand a chance against a grandmaster.
Phoenix's words not only intimidated Ronald but also deterred Dorian.
Although Dorian didn't hold an elder position in Celestia Vale, he was still bound by its rules and couldn't act recklessly.
If Phoenix reported today's events to Celestia Vale, both Ronald and Dorian would be in deep trouble.
"Phoenix, it's all a misunderstanding!" Dorian hurriedly defended.
"No need to say more. I'm here for Ethan, and you must not interfere with him," Phoenix interrupted, then turned to Jessie.
"Thank you!" Jessie, though unclear about Phoenix's identity, felt grateful as he seemed to be protecting Ethan from Dorian and Ronald.
"You're welcome. Ethan and I have a connection. With me here, he won't be harmed. If you don't want to leave, stay by my side, but do not disturb Ethan," Phoenix said, smiling and shaking his head. He then sat down cross-legged, beginning to meditate right in front of them.
