Chapter 605 The Angry Davide

Early morning at Vast Mountain was creepily quiet. Davide glared at the ML Guild disciples in front of him. They were wobbling and out of sorts, and he looked pissed.

These were the guards Ethan had taken down last night. Even though the silver needles were out, they still hadn't shaken off the paralysis. The vibe was super tense. Everyone was holding their breath, staring at Davide, but no one dared to say a word.

Next to Davide, Alessandro was sitting cross-legged, eyes shut, trying to heal his internal injuries. Ethan had hit him hard last night, leaving him seriously hurt. Luckily, Ethan hadn't tried to kill him, so he barely made it out alive.

As for the regular folks like Margare who had already fled, it was too late for the ML Guild to round them all up again. Even if they could recover part of it, as long as a few managed to escape, catching them again would be meaningless. Thinking about this made Davide's anger boil over.

By the time the sun came up, Alessandro had finished meditating and looked a lot better. "Alessandro, you're not dead yet, are you?" Davide asked coldly.

Alessandro's pale face showed a bitter expression, unsure how to respond. He knew he was in deep trouble this time.

"If you're not dying, tell me what happened. Who was that guy who showed up out of nowhere?" Davide tried to keep his anger in check, waiting for Alessandro to explain, or he might just slap him to death.

"He was masked, so I couldn't see his face or figure out who he was," Alessandro said reluctantly.

Davide laughed angrily and pointed at the ML Guild disciples below. "Then tell me, how are you any different from them?" Alessandro's pale face turned red with shame at Davide's words.

"You couldn't even keep an eye on a bunch of regular people, and you let a stranger onto the mountain. Now everyone's run off. If word gets out, you're in big trouble," Davide warned sternly.

"Any news from Seth?" Alessandro asked reluctantly. He was closest to Seth in the ML Guild, but Seth and Davide didn't get along. So with Seth gone, he had to deal with Davide's wrath.

Davide's power and influence in the ML Guild were second only to Seth's, making him a force Alessandro couldn't match. He could only hope Seth would come back soon to save him from this mess.

"Speaking of that, I'm puzzled about it too. Everyone sent to Everglow, including Seth and Brian, can't be reached. I've already sent people to Everglow, and we should hear something soon. But don't think Seth coming back will get you off the hook," Davide squinted, thinking for a moment, then stared at Alessandro and reminded him. Hearing this, Alessandro's heart sank even more, and his face grew darker.

Suddenly, Davide remembered that during his fight with Ethan last night, Ethan had mentioned Seth. He started to think Seth's sudden disappearance might be connected to Ethan. For some reason, once this thought popped into Davide's head, he couldn't shake it, and his expression became unreadable.

"What's up with you?" Alessandro finally looked up, seeing Davide's furrowed brow, and cautiously asked.

"Davide, there's news!" A disciple came running up the mountain, handing Davide a phone.

Davide took the phone and put it to his ear. A young man's voice came through. "Davide, I found the bodies of Brian and the others at the Everglow base. They've been dead for a few days."

"What did you say? Brian is dead?" Davide's face changed instantly, and he was speechless for a long time, clearly shocked by the news.

"Judging by the marks, it was a master-level attack. They had no chance to fight back. There's no sign of Tyler at the scene," the young man paused, then continued.

"What about Seth? Did you find him?" Davide snapped back to reality and quickly asked.

"I didn't see him, and I can't contact him either. Do you think he might also be..." The young man sounded helpless and hesitant.

Davide fell silent. If Seth were alive, he would have contacted them. Given the current situation, it likely meant he was dead.

Technically, he might still be alive since his body hadn't been found, but that possibility was almost negligible. Seth wasn't an ordinary person; he was a late-stage master-level expert. With such strength, he wouldn't go missing unless he was dead. Or maybe he was trapped somewhere, but that was nearly impossible.

"Stay in Everglow and find out what happened to Seth. Confirm his status and investigate recent events there," Davide quickly regained his composure and ordered firmly.

"Got it, I'll get on it right away," the other party agreed and hung up the phone.

Davide handed the phone back to the disciple, then saw Alessandro's ashen face. Clearly, Alessandro had heard the conversation and lost his last hope.

"I'll give you a chance to redeem yourself. Tomorrow is the full moon night, and that thing will definitely come out. Before that, kill anyone who approaches Vast Mountain," Davide sneered and ordered Alessandro.

Hearing this, Alessandro shivered and quickly nodded. "Thank you!"

"Whether you live or die depends on your performance," Davide snorted coldly and left, leaving Alessandro with a grim face, contemplating his next move.
