Chapter 562 An Alternative Way of Improvement
Angela had no clue how she ended up in a hotel room with Ethan. Thinking about the weird look the front desk guy gave her, she felt her cheeks heat up from embarrassment.
"Ethan, isn't this moving a bit too fast?" Angela stared at Ethan and asked softly.
Even though she had decided to be with Ethan, the whole shift in her identity and mindset in just a few hours was too much. She wasn't ready for sex.
"Too fast? Nah, I don't think so," Ethan was surprised by her words and replied seriously.
"I... I'm kinda nervous. Can we not..." Angela looked at Ethan's serious face, feeling torn. After a long pause, she finally got the courage to talk about it.
"I'm heading back to Novaria tomorrow. Before I go, I wanna help you level up, at least to the Half-Step Grandmaster level." Ethan's explanation made Angela's eyes widen in surprise.
"So you brought me here to help me level up?" Angela blurted out without thinking.
"What else?" Ethan shot back, then flashed a mischievous grin, "Were you thinking about having sex?"
"You totally misled me. If it's about leveling up, why can't we do it somewhere else? Why a hotel?" Angela retorted anxiously, glaring at Ethan.
"Because the hotel is quieter, no one to bug us," Ethan explained earnestly.
Angela was momentarily speechless. He really had an answer for everything.
But half an hour later, when Angela and Ethan heard the ruckus from the next room, they couldn't help but feel disoriented.
"Is this what you call quiet?" Angela asked, her face blushed with annoyance.
Ethan said, "I didn't expect this. It's been half an hour, hasn't it?"
Seeing Ethan's conflicted expression, Angela couldn't help but laugh. At this moment, they were sitting opposite each other, with Ethan infusing her with super energy.
They were so close that Angela's smile made Ethan lose his focus, thinking how beautiful she was. Especially with the noise from the next room, Ethan found it hard to stay calm.
"Actually, I have a faster way to help you level up. Wanna try it?" Ethan asked softly.
"What way?" Angela asked instinctively.
"It's kinda..." Before Ethan could finish, Angela's lips sealed his mouth.
If Ethan couldn't stay calm with the noise next door, Angela couldn't either.
The next morning, as the sun streamed through the window onto the bed, Angela was still lazily snuggling in Ethan's arms.
Now, Ethan was already at the master level, and Angela had hit the Half-Step Grandmaster level. Despite pulling an all-nighter, they didn't feel tired at all.
Angela soaked up the lazy moment, lying quietly in Ethan's arms, listening to his strong heartbeat. She knew he wasn't hers alone, so she cherished every second with him.
"Are you heading to Novaria today?" Angela asked softly, tracing circles on Ethan's chest with her finger.
"Yeah, I'll swing by Norman's place before I go." Ethan nodded.
"How are you gonna explain our relationship to them when you get back?" Angela asked nervously.
She was the last one to join the group, and she felt a natural sense of inferiority when thinking about Chloe and the others.
"Of course, I'll tell the truth. What else can I say?" Ethan chuckled.
"What if..." Angela's eyes showed a hint of worry.
"There's no 'what if.' They're not as scary as you think. Once you get to know them, you'll see what kind of people they are," Ethan noticed Angela's tension and comforted her seriously.
"Let's hope so," Angela replied, still not completely at ease.
A moment later, they left the room, fully dressed.
Soon, Leo's Audi pulled up downstairs. Seeing the affectionate couple coming out of the hotel, he couldn't help but smile.
"What are you grinning at? Keep it up and I'll knock your teeth out." Seeing Leo's mischievous smile, Angela immediately glared at him.
"Hurry up, let's head to Fragrant Garden," Ethan ordered Leo directly.
"You're leaving?" Leo was taken aback.
Leo had gotten a call from Angela asking him to pick them up. He hadn't thought much about it, but now Ethan wanted to go to Fragrant Garden. He remembered Ethan saying he would go there before leaving, which meant Ethan was leaving.
"Yeah, I won't be here long. Got a lot on my plate. I promised to take you to see Norman. I'll go there before I leave, to give you a chance to bond," Ethan explained with a smile.
"Thanks, man." Leo grinned widely.
Neither Angela nor Ethan treated him like an outsider. But Leo knew very well that the main reason was probably because his last name was Martinez. Otherwise, he might not even have had the chance to meet Ethan. Actually, even Francesco might not get such special treatment from Ethan.
