Chapter 320 Revelation

Two hours later, Ethan got off the plane at Emerald Vein.

Beckett and a few company employees were waiting for him, looking anxious.

"Mr. Wilson, you're finally here!" Beckett sighed in relief and hurried over.

"Beckett, slow down. Start from the beginning and tell me everything. We need to piece this together," Ethan said, motioning for him to calm down.

"Let's talk in the car. I'll take you to the warehouse where the goods were stored," Beckett suggested, leading Ethan out of the terminal.

On the way to the raw stone trading market, Beckett filled Ethan in on the day's events.

He and Hannah had spent the day negotiating with the biggest local raw stone wholesaler. They finally struck a deal and bought a batch of decent-quality raw stones.

They agreed to hand over the goods that evening, with payment made on the spot during loading.

Hannah, always thorough, brought an expert in raw stone appraisal to the warehouse in the afternoon to inspect the goods. This way, they wouldn't need to check them again during loading.

Beckett was in charge of contacting the transport team and the security company. They worked separately but stayed in touch.

The last time Beckett spoke to Hannah was after six p.m. After the drivers and security personnel had dinner, they headed out to pick up the goods.

But when they got to the warehouse, both Hannah and the goods were gone!

"When did you get to the warehouse?" Ethan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I got there about an hour after our last call, around seven-thirty. We were supposed to make the transaction in person, but when we arrived, both the goods and Miss Collins were missing," Beckett said, clearly worried.

"Before loading, the goods should still be under the other company's watch. Didn't they have guards at the warehouse?" Ethan asked, frowning.

"Yeah, they did, but when we got there, all the guards were knocked out, like they'd been drugged. The other company almost accused us of trying to steal the goods! I had to call the police to clear things up," Beckett said, still indignant.

"Millions of dollars' worth of raw stones—how many trucks would that take?" Ethan asked.

"Eight. How could anyone move eight truckloads of raw stones in just over an hour? Even if we started loading tonight, it would take until the early morning to finish," Beckett said, baffled.

"Ordinary people couldn't, but there's a certain type who definitely could," Ethan said, narrowing his eyes.

"What type?" Beckett asked instinctively.

"Warriors. Skilled ones. With just a few of them, moving hundreds of pounds of raw stones quickly wouldn't be a problem," Ethan explained calmly.

Ordinary warriors could easily lift several hundred pounds. Ethan, in his current state, could lift a thousand-pound stone with one hand without breaking a sweat.

"Warriors!" Beckett was floored.

"I need to make a call," Ethan said, pulling out his phone and dialing Dorian.

He suspected Ignatius was behind this, so he decided to confront Dorian directly. From Ignatius's actions, it was clear they were after the raw stones, not Hannah, who was just collateral damage.

Ignatius might not even know about Hannah's connection to Ethan. The call was to make sure Dorian understood Hannah wasn't just some random person. If anything happened to her, Ethan would have nowhere to turn.

Meanwhile, in the Ashford family villa, Dorian was on the phone with Ignatius, who was in Emerald Vein.

"Is the job done?" Dorian asked with a cold smile.

"Yeah, it's done. I made sure the police won't trace it back to us. And guess what? There was a woman in the warehouse, so I brought her along!" Ignatius laughed.

"Why did you take her? We only need the goods; don't complicate things!" Dorian frowned.

"Relax, Dorian. The two companies are probably arguing right now. This will divert the police's attention. By the time they figure it out, we'll have the goods back in the capital. Then we'll dump the woman, and it'll be fine," Ignatius said nonchalantly.

"Just be careful. I don't want anyone tracking us," Dorian warned.

"Trust me. By tomorrow night, I'll have the goods back in the capital," Ignatius said confidently before hanging up.

Just as Dorian was about to put his phone away, it rang again. To his surprise, it was Ethan.

Staring at the familiar number, Dorian was momentarily stunned. Why would Ethan call him now?

When the phone rang a second time, Dorian reluctantly answered.

"Ignatius is in Emerald Vein, right?" Ethan's unmistakable voice came through.

Dorian's eyelids twitched.

"Why the silence?" Ethan asked again.

"Why are you asking about him?" Dorian took a deep breath, suspicious.

"I'll get straight to the point. Ignatius took my person. You want the goods? Fine, millions of dollars is nothing; I don't mind giving it to you. But if my person gets hurt, I'll be in the capital by tomorrow. Just wait and see!" Ethan finished and hung up, not giving Dorian a chance to respond.

Listening to the busy tone, Dorian was stunned for a good ten seconds before erupting in rage.

"Ethan... actually dared to threaten me!" Dorian shouted.
