Chapter 312 Another Unwise One
Orlando's sudden attack on Camila caught Chloe and Sarah off guard. Luckily, he didn't go too far in public, but his chubby hand still gripped Camila's arm painfully. She cried out and burst into tears.
"Let go of Camila!" Sarah was the first to react, stepping forward to try and pull Camila away.
"I'll let her go, but you have to apologize to me!" Orlando pulled Camila into his arms, ignoring her struggles and threatening them.
"You're using a little girl to threaten us? Are you out of your mind?" Sarah, afraid of hurting Camila, didn't dare to snatch her back and could only glare at Orlando.
"No one in Novaria has ever dared to insult me. If you don't apologize, this won't end today." Orlando had barely finished his threat when a figure suddenly rushed out from the crowd. With a cry of pain, Orlando's massive body, weighing at least 250 pounds, flew through the air and landed heavily. Fortunately, the ground was grass; if it had been concrete, his bones would have shattered despite his bulk.
After the crowd's initial gasp, they saw Ethan standing where Orlando had been, holding Camila with a sullen expression.
"You're finally back!" Chloe, seeing Ethan save Camila, breathed a sigh of relief and hurried forward to check her arm.
"Did you kill him with that kick?" Sarah, looking at the motionless Orlando in the distance, asked with her mouth agape. Though she felt he deserved a lesson, death seemed too harsh.
"Don't worry. He won't die, but he'll spend the rest of his life bedridden," Ethan said calmly as if discussing something trivial.
The guests, having anticipated Orlando's bad end, still gasped at Ethan's words.
"Anyone who dares to touch Camila should be prepared to pay the price!" Ethan shook his head at the anxious Chloe. "Don't worry. Camila is fine."
Hearing this, Chloe and Sarah finally relaxed. They wouldn't care much if Orlando died, but they couldn't bear it if something happened to Camila.
Ethan immediately transferred some energy to Camila, calming her down instantly.
"Who would have thought Orlando was such a scoundrel, and he's the general manager of the Green Group! Ladies, I'm sorry for the fright you suffered; it's my fault!" Robert arrived late, seeing the unconscious Orlando and silently admiring Ethan's ruthlessness, but still had to apologize to Chloe and Sarah with a forced smile.
"This has nothing to do with you; there's no need to take the blame. But as for that guy, I don't want to see him in Novaria again. Even if he's bedridden, make sure he rolls out of Novaria!" Ethan remarked.
Ethan rarely showed such a commanding side, but today, in front of all of Novaria's elite, he felt it was necessary. At the very least, it would establish his authority. What started as a minor incident ended with Orlando paying a heavy price, showcasing Ethan's methods to everyone.
"No problem. As the governor of Novaria, I don't want scum like him here either!" Robert's assurance made it clear to everyone that he stood with Ethan, almost as if he had followed Ethan's lead.
No one present was foolish; they all realized that the once-dominant Ethan had returned, more dazzling than when he led the Cloud Group. Those with ulterior motives quickly abandoned their schemes, and no one dared to underestimate Ethan anymore.
"Just a man abandoned by the Wilson family, yet he dares to boast here!" Unexpectedly, as Ethan was intimidating the crowd, Larry appeared with disdain.
Everyone gasped, looking around to identify the speaker who dared to mock Ethan openly. Did this person have an even more powerful background, or were they simply reckless?
Ethan's expression changed slightly. He immediately handed Camila to Chloe and pulled Chloe and Sarah behind him.
"Who said that? Show yourself!" Robert, not expecting anyone to cause trouble in his presence, shouted angrily, his face darkening.
"A mere governor dares to speak to me like that? If not for your government position, you would have been dead long ago!" As the words fell, Larry's figure emerged from the distant darkness.
"Who dares trespass in my mansion? Guards, arrest him immediately!" Robert, shocked by another brazen intruder who even threatened his life, trembled with rage.
As soon as he spoke, a group of guards rushed in, ready to apprehend the intruder.
"Hold on!" Ethan's loud command halted everyone in their tracks.
"This is not something you can handle. Have your men stand down," Ethan instructed Robert calmly, having recognized Larry as the one who had previously come with Ronald.
Robert's face changed upon hearing Ethan's words, and he realized the intruder's significant background. Despite his anger, he had to swallow his pride.
"Alright, Mr. Wilson, I'll leave it to you," Robert said through gritted teeth, signaling his guards to retreat.
At that moment, everyone finally saw the tall, slender young man clearly. Though he appeared weaker than Ethan, his sinister eyes exuded a dangerous aura. Given that even Ethan said Robert couldn't handle him, everyone began to speculate about his identity, and no one dared to underestimate him.
