Chapter 639 Kirk's Frustration

"You want an explanation, how about this one?"

The man chuckled lightly at the words, then slowly raised his right hand. A domineering force surged and rolled in his palm, instantly condensing into a blinding fireball.

The terrifying aura emanating from the fireball made everyone present hold their breath!

Kirk knew that if this fireball hit him, he would be obliterated in an instant, with no chance of escape!

"Wait, I'll go back right now, please calm down!"

The fear of death made Kirk forget his pride. His face turned pale as he pleaded with the man.

"If you had listened earlier, there wouldn't have been any trouble!"

The man snorted lightly and with a casual wave, the terrifying fireball dissipated in his palm, showing his control.

"Thank you for sparing my life!"

Kirk felt his body drenched in cold sweat. Without lingering, he hurried back into the secret passage of the Hills Guild.

The remaining Hills Guild disciples, seeing Kirk admit defeat, didn't dare to stay any longer. They all returned to the Hills Guild without a word.

"I don't understand, why go through so much trouble for a Hills Guild? Why not just destroy it?"

At this moment, a young man appeared beside the middle-aged man, asking with a puzzled expression.

"It's not the right time yet, and I don't need to personally destroy the Hills Guild."

The middle-aged man shook his head calmly.

"So, you spend so much time negotiating with those old men and agree to so many things just to stop Kirk and his group?"

The young man asked, looking at the middle-aged man in disbelief.

"Yeah. What's wrong?"

The middle-aged man's rhetorical question left the young man speechless.

"Time is running out. I need to use the limited time to help him grow as quickly as possible. I'll leave this place to you. Just don't let Kirk leave; the others don't matter."

The middle-aged man sighed and instructed the young man. Then, he appeared thirty feet away and disappeared in an instant.

The young man widened his eyes but ultimately didn't chase after him.

"You're putting all your hopes on your precious son. I want to see how far he can go."

The young man shook his head with a bitter smile and sat cross-legged facing the Hills Guild's secret passage.

As time passed, his figure became blurry and seemed to vanish into thin air.

Inside the Hills Guild's secret realm, Kirk's face was extremely gloomy, his fists clenched tightly in frustration.

The unknown top expert made him furious but helpless!

"Kirk, who was that guy?"

Daryl, who was beside Kirk, asked in a trembling voice.

"How should I know?"

Kirk, already filled with anger, snapped back at Daryl.

Daryl's face stiffened, and he wisely shut his mouth.

"That aura must have reached the ascension stage. Isn't it said that those who reach that level ascend to another world and can't exist here? Where did he come from?"

Kirk speculated with a puzzled expression, unable to find any clues.

"Daryl, go to the ML Guild for me immediately!"

After a long silence, Kirk suddenly ordered Daryl.

"Kirk, but..."

Daryl's face changed, clearly afraid of the previous man.

"He said I couldn't leave, not that others from the Hills Guild couldn't. What are you afraid of?"

Before Daryl could finish, Kirk interrupted him angrily.

"Well... I'll give it a try. If I can leave safely, I'll go for you."

Daryl reluctantly agreed.

"Take the communication stone with you!"

Kirk took out a communication stone from his sleeve and tossed it to Daryl.

Daryl quickly put away the stone, gritted his teeth, and entered the spatial passage again.

Back in the mountains, Daryl looked around nervously. Seeing that the middle-aged man was gone, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Could he have left?"

Daryl muttered to himself, hesitating whether to go back and inform Kirk.

But he decided against it, fearing the man's return.

After walking a few miles without any obstruction, Daryl quickened his pace and disappeared towards the northwest.

Meanwhile, at the Hills Guild's realm, Kirk pointed to a disciple and said, "Go outside and see what's happening, then come back and tell me!"

The disciple shivered but, under Kirk's stern gaze, reluctantly entered the spatial passage.

Moments later, the disciple returned.

"Kirk, there's no one outside. It seems the man has left!"

The disciple reported to Kirk.

Not convinced, Kirk used the communication stone to contact Daryl. Confirming his safety, Kirk finally relaxed.

After standing by the passage for a while, Kirk decided not to take the risk.

The mysterious and powerful man didn't kill Kirk but clearly didn't want him to leave the Hills Guild. It was only targeted at him.

Daryl leaving safely didn't mean Kirk would be safe too. Who knew if that powerful being would suddenly reappear?

Kirk didn't dare to gamble, as losing would mean his life.

Fortunately, Daryl had left safely, which made Kirk feel relieved.

Outside the Hills Guild's secret realm, the young man's figure reappeared. Looking in the direction Daryl had disappeared, he smiled.

"A top expert at the Foundation Establishment Stage, who is only slightly weaker than Kirk, makes for a good whetstone! He'll have a tough time ahead!"

With that, the young man vanished again, as if he had never been there.

Meanwhile, Ethan, unaware that he was now on the Hills Guild's hit list, was in a secret room of the ML Guild, looking at three large boxes with a puzzled expression.

The boxes contained some basketball-sized dark green stones, about twenty in total.

Ethan could feel a strange aura from the stones, indicating they were not ordinary minerals.

The ML Guild wouldn't collect ordinary stones, so these were special.

Kenneth and Patricia also frowned, unable to identify the stones.
