Chapter 232 Reunion
When Ethan was found to have taken three girls to the movies, Caspar's face immediately darkened.
"Mom, let Ethan enjoy himself for another hour. Let's pick up Uncle Jim first!" Kenny reminded Caspar.
"Alright! I'll give him a call!" Caspar nodded heavily.
A few minutes later, Caspar and Kenny met a refined middle-aged man at the cinema entrance. He seemed to harbor many stories and secrets, but his eyes were so sharp they could see through anyone.
"Uncle!" Even though Kenny was the eldest son of the Ashford family, he showed great respect and a hint of apprehension when facing Jim. Despite Jim’s genteel appearance, Jim could end someone's life in ways people wouldn't even realize.
"Caspar! Kenny!" Jim merely smiled and nodded at the two.
"Jim, you suddenly come to Everglow City. Is it because of Gino?" Caspar asked directly.
"That's right. He has been missing for thirty years. I'm curious to see what he's become. Unfortunately, I just went to Midnight Oasis and didn't find him." Jim nodded and sighed.
"I'll go with you tonight, but for now, let's deal with Ethan! Dorian is at master level, and he can't act against him due to the rules. Even Ignatius was tricked by him. Your timing is perfect; you must help Kenny and me settle this grudge!" Caspar's tone turned cold.
"I heard Kenny suffered a lot at Ethan's hands and was in the hospital for two days. I want to see just how capable this Ethan is!" At the mention, Jim couldn't help but break into a smile, albeit one devoid of the expected arrogance or iciness, instead exuding a sense of warmth akin to a gentle spring breeze.
When Ethan walked out of the theater with three girls, he immediately saw Caspar and Kenny waiting for him.
"You were right. Dorian didn't come, but Caspar and Kenny did! Who's that man with them?" Sarah whispered to Ethan.
"I don't know him either." Ethan shook his head. Although he didn't recognize the man, he could sense a dangerous aura from him. This man was a formidable opponent, stronger than Ignatius.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. If we knew you were outside, we wouldn't have watched the movie. Mrs. Ashford, why didn't you send someone in to notify us?" Ethan smiled at Caspar.
"Ethan, what do you mean by repeatedly provoking us? Do you really think I can't do anything to you?" Caspar's eyes were filled with anger at Ethan's arrogance. She wanted to tear down the cinema right then and there. Making the main person in charge of the Ashford family wait outside for over an hour was intolerable. It seemed like Ethan had anticipated their arrival and deliberately made them stay.
"Ethan, shouldn't we settle our scores?" Kenny's bloodshot eyes glared at Ethan, his expression looked extremely grim.
The humiliation he suffered at the engagement party was still fresh in his mind, and he couldn't swallow his pride. He wanted Ethan dead right then and there.
"Isn't it a bit harsh to be so aggressive right off the bat? And I don't quite understand, Kenny. What issue do you want to resolve with me?" Ethan chuckled indifferently.
"Stop playing dumb. I was caught off guard at the engagement party, but today, you won't be so lucky!" Kenny sneered, and a large group of security guards appeared, clearing out everyone unrelated.
Only Ethan and the people from the Ashford family remained in the entire cinema lobby.
"Kenny, what are you trying to do?" Chloe frowned and questioned.
"What am I trying to do? I'm taking you back from him! Chloe, I'll give you one more chance. If you return to me now, I promise to let bygones be bygones and still love you as before!" Kenny's face was full of madness.
"Stop dreaming. Chloe never liked you. Don't flatter yourself!" Sarah couldn't help but scold before Chloe could speak.
"I won't leave Ethan! Even if you kill him, I'll die with him!" Chloe declared resolutely.
"Fine! You forced me!" Kenny trembled uncontrollably, clearly being pushed to the brink of madness by Chloe's words.
"Calm down!" At that moment, Jim patted Kenny's shoulder. His gentle voice had a magical effect, immediately calming Kenny's raging aura.
"Uncle, I need your help. Ethan is indeed tricky. The place is completely cleared, and no one will disturb us. Please help me take him down so I can personally deal with him and vent my anger!" Kenny bowed respectfully to Jim.
"Sir, are you from the Salvador family?" Chloe's face turned grim upon hearing this.
"Could he be the scholar most likely to inherit the main position in the Salvador family? I remember Grandpa mentioning his name, but I can't recall it right now!" Sarah's face also changed color, clearly having heard of Jim.
It's said that Jim is undoubtedly the top figure of the second generation in the Salvador family. If he's helping Kenny and Caspar, doesn't that mean the Salvador family is also against Ethan?
"It's Jim!" Chloe knew more than Sarah.
"Miss Miller, you've heard of me. If you were with Kenny, we'd be family!" Jim nodded with a smile.
"Jim? Why does that sound so familiar? Oh, right, from Everglow City..." Sarah looked at Ethan in surprise, clearly thinking of Ethan's Gino.
"Miss Miller, go on. Are you talking about Gino, who saved Ethan that day? Do you know where he is now?" Jim's smiling face narrowed his eyes into slits.
Ethan was also wondering if Jim and Gino were related. Hearing this, he confirmed his suspicion.
"Forget it; there is no need to ask others. Since you're looking for me, I'll come out myself!" A helpless sigh sounded, and from the side passage, Gino appeared.
"Gino? Is it really you?" Caspar didn't expect Gino to appear in such a situation. Even after thirty years, she recognized him at a glance.
"You finally showed up! I knew if I kept an eye on Ethan, you'd come out yourself!" Jim turned to Gino, clearly having agreed to help Caspar deal with Ethan to find Gino.
"Jim, what do you mean by that?" Caspar shivered, suddenly recalling that Gino had saved Ethan before.
"Can't you see? Our brother, whom we haven't seen in thirty years, is now on Ethan's side!" Jim bluntly revealed.
