Chapter 355 Handling Some Domestic Affairs
"You guys keep chatting. Why keep an eye on me? I'm not wasting my time here!" Asura Bloodhand scoffed, then vanished in a cloud of dark energy, heading north.
"Raymond, let's handle him first. You take care of things here!" the five deacon elders told Raymond before chasing after Asura Bloodhand.
Raymond and Phoenix watched Asura Bloodhand leave, looking helpless.
They didn't want to go to extremes, but Asura Bloodhand was beyond saving, and they couldn't speak for him even if they wanted to.
"Raymond, Francis, listen. The disagreement from twenty years ago can still be discussed. Why let it come to this?" Phoenix tried to reason with them.
"No, I never meant to make things hard for him!" Raymond said with a bitter smile.
"Are you saying I'm the one causing trouble?" Francis snapped, clearly angry.
"Francis, arguing won't solve anything. Since you've handed leadership to Ethan, let him make the decisions," Phoenix urged.
"You just want to side with Ethan to make things easier for yourself, right?" Francis rolled his eyes but was more tolerant of Phoenix.
After all, he and Phoenix were true friends back in the day, and their bond was special.
Even though Francis left Celestia Vale twenty years ago due to disagreements, it didn't affect his relationship with Phoenix.
"I'm not here to argue. While Ethan is still unconscious, I'll handle some domestic matters for him," Francis said, changing the subject.
"Domestic matters?" Phoenix frowned.
"Ethan's mother has been imprisoned for years. Shouldn't we settle that?" Francis snorted.
Dorian, halfway up the mountain, turned pale and tried to leave.
"If you dare to leave, there will be no place for you in this world! And Ronald, get your ass up here too!" A cold voice echoed through the valley.
Dorian and Ronald exchanged worried glances. After a moment, they reluctantly headed up the mountain.
Facing a grandmaster's wrath, where could they possibly escape?
"Hello, Francis!" Dorian and Ronald greeted Francis respectfully upon reaching the mountaintop.
Normally, as masters themselves, they wouldn't fear a grandmaster too much. Celestia Vale had its rules, and as long as they didn't break them, they had nothing to fear.
But their actions were exposed, and there was no denying it in front of Francis and Phoenix. Naturally, they were anxious.
"Got any defense?" Francis cut to the chase.
Defense?
Phoenix had caught them red-handed stealing Ethan's Sun and Moon Beads and imprisoning Jessie. What could they possibly say?
Lying in front of Phoenix would be suicide.
"We were blinded by greed and accept our punishment," Ronald said quickly, before Dorian could speak.
Francis wasn't part of Celestia Vale anymore, so Ronald figured it was better to take the punishment than fall into Francis's hands.
"What's the punishment for attacking ordinary people and stealing their property?" Francis asked with a cold smile, seeing through Ronald's plan but not exposing it.
Ronald broke into a cold sweat.
"According to Celestia Vale's rules, Ronald's actions require twenty years of solitary reflection," Phoenix said.
"Twenty years? I can't wait that long!" Francis sneered. Before anyone could react, Ronald screamed and was sent flying.
When he landed, he spat out blood, his face pale.
"You... you destroyed my powers?" Ronald stared at Francis in disbelief. He hadn't expected Francis to act so decisively in front of Phoenix and Raymond, leaving no room for negotiation.
"You should pray Ethan doesn't wake up soon, or your fate will be worse than death," Francis said indifferently.
"Was that really necessary?" Phoenix shook his head with a bitter smile.
"Got a problem with that?" Francis raised an eyebrow.
"Ronald deserved it. From now on, Ronald is expelled from Celestia Vale, and the enforcement hall will take in his disciples," Raymond said bluntly, not blaming Francis but directly sentencing Ronald.
For Ronald, being expelled from Celestia Vale was worse than death. His enemies would jump at the chance to kick him while he was down.
Without further orders, several experts from the Harris family escorted Ronald down the mountain.
Everyone present was shocked, realizing Francis was not to be messed with.
Ronald's fate made Dorian feel a chill, his face pale with fear.
"Will you do it yourself, or should I help you?" Francis asked Dorian calmly.
"Is there another option?" Dorian broke into a cold sweat, realizing it was too late to run.
"Of course. If you're not satisfied with my punishment, I'll leave it to Ethan when he wakes up. How about that?" Francis chuckled and whispered, "I'll leave you to him so he doesn't blame me for meddling. You know how much he hates you for imprisoning Jessie."
Dorian froze, realizing he was doomed. He had imprisoned Jessie for years, and his greed had led to his downfall. Was it truly his own doing?
