Chapter 344 Francis Left Emerald Valley
"What do you want?" Andrew recoiled at the sight of Ethan, like he'd seen a ghost.
"Why so jumpy? I'm here to drain your demonic energy. Oh, and your scummy master tried to use Sharon to threaten me, but I scared him off a week ago. If you're waiting for him to save you, forget it," Ethan said with a grin.
"What? You saw my master? How could you beat him?" Andrew's eyes widened in shock.
"Why not? I have ways to handle him, just like I do with you. Thanks to him, I reached Half-Step Grandmaster. He gave me a ton of demonic energy that day," Ethan chuckled.
"No, you're lying!" Andrew shook his head, panic all over his face.
"I don't need to, and I don't have time to waste. After today, you're free," Ethan said, shaking his head.
"You're letting me go? Really?" Andrew was even more incredulous.
"Yep." Ethan laughed, then suddenly struck Andrew's abdomen before he and Greg could react.
In seconds, Ethan absorbed all the demonic energy from Andrew. The Sun and Moon Beads were already part of him, so he could absorb the energy directly and faster than before.
In just a few breaths, Andrew collapsed on the bed, looking defeated.
"You destroyed my Sea of Energy!" Andrew glared, teeth clenched.
"Yep. Only then can I let you go. Be grateful I'm sparing your life; it's the best outcome for you," Ethan said, instructing the stunned Greg to unlock Andrew's shackles.
Soon, Andrew was thrown out of the villa.
"What happened to him?" Sarah asked Ethan as they got back in the car, seeing Andrew at the villa's entrance.
"Nothing, it's all settled. Andrew can't cause any more trouble. Let him fend for himself," Ethan explained, shaking his head.
"So you've been keeping him here all this time. Is this really the best way?" Chloe asked thoughtfully.
"There are things you don't know. Without threats, I could've let him go earlier," Ethan said, not elaborating. He started the car and drove away under Andrew's venomous gaze.
It was already afternoon. Just as Ethan was about to take Sarah and Chloe back to the villa, he remembered something important and slapped his forehead.
"What are you doing? Why so startled?" Sarah asked, puzzled.
"I forgot something important. How could I forget?" Ethan looked annoyed. He had forgotten to ask about the Sun and Moon Beads and the key to the Divine Sea's gate after his breakthrough to Half-Step Grandmaster.
"Is it really important? Do you need to go back to the mountain?" Chloe asked, concerned.
"No, I need to buy a new phone first," Ethan said, stopping at a phone store. As soon as he turned it on, he saw a bunch of texts, mostly from Chloe from a few days ago.
There were also quite a few from Alexander, who probably couldn't reach him and had to leave messages.
Before Ethan could call Alexander back, Alexander's call came through.
"Mr. Wilson, finally, I can reach you. Miss Miller said you've been in Emerald Valley these past few days?" Alexander's voice came through as soon as the call connected.
"That's right. What's so urgent?" Ethan asked directly.
"You asked me to keep an eye on Roy and those raw stones. I finally found a lead!" Alexander explained immediately.
"Oh? Did you find out what they're up to?" Ethan asked, intrigued.
"I only found an address, likely a secret lab set up by the Ashford family. But I don't know what they're doing there," Alexander explained helplessly.
"Any other valuable information?" Ethan asked, frowning.
He thought to himself, 'Even if I knew the address of the secret lab, it isn't worth a trip to Everglow City just yet.'
"Nothing else for now, but Dorian values this lab highly. He visits almost every other day," Alexander continued.
"Keep an eye on it and let me know if anything happens. I'll think about what to do next," Ethan instructed before hanging up.
"What's going on? Is there trouble in Everglow City?" Chloe asked, concerned, seeing Ethan's serious expression.
"No, but I might need to go there. Let's go home first," Ethan said, starting the car and heading back to the villa.
At home, he had dinner with Sarah, Chloe, Hannah, and Camila. Camila was thrilled to see Ethan after a week and kept clinging to him to play.
"Ethan, come outside for a moment!" Suddenly, a familiar voice came from outside the villa.
"Isn't that Francis? He actually left Emerald Valley?" Sarah asked.
Ethan was even more shocked. If Francis had come to Silvermist Peak to save him out of necessity last time, his arrival this time was truly puzzling.
"Francis, why are you here?" Ethan went to the yard and indeed saw Francis standing there.
"You need to go to Everglow City quickly and rescue your mom! I sense that the seal on Tiger Mount is about to open, and the Divine Sea is about to activate!" Francis's words made Ethan's eyes widen in shock.
