Chapter 307 Ronald's Birthday Party

The next day, Ethan stayed holed up in his room, totally absorbed in his training. He'd soaked up a ton of super-energy from the twin beads, and his strength had skyrocketed. He felt like he was just a step away from becoming a Half-Step Grandmaster.

It wasn't until the sun was setting that Ethan finally emerged from his intense practice. He now felt confident that, even if he couldn't beat Jesse or Larry, he could at least hold his own against them.

Of course, that was just based on raw power. A real fight to the death would be a whole different story.

That evening, they were supposed to go to Robert's birthday party. Ethan knew Chloe and Sarah would be back soon, so he wouldn't be able to keep practicing that night.

Besides, Hannah had left Camila with them before heading to Emerald Vein. So, it wouldn't just be him, Chloe, and Sarah; they'd have to bring Camila along too. They couldn't leave her home alone.

Ethan didn't mind the extra responsibility. Since Camila had moved in the night before, she'd brought a lot of joy and laughter to the house. What surprised Ethan the most was how close Camila had gotten to Chloe, sometimes even preferring Chloe and Sarah over him.

Ethan was pretty happy with this setup. With Chloe and Sarah taking care of Camila at night, his practice wouldn't be interrupted.

Before long, Chloe and Sarah came back, having picked up Camila from kindergarten on their way home.

They changed clothes and headed out for the party, looking like a family outing, though a bit unconventional. Chloe and Sarah were stunning, and Camila was adorable, making them look like two queens escorting a little princess.

It wasn't until Ethan was driving them to Robert's estate on the outskirts that he realized they hadn't prepared a gift!

"I've been so busy these past few days. I meant to get a gift, but it slipped my mind. It's not right to show up without one," Chloe said, looking conflicted.

"What should we do? We can't go back now to get a gift. The party's about to start!" Sarah said, equally frustrated.

Chloe immediately looked at Ethan, seeking his opinion.

"It's just a gift. No need to stress. Whatever I give, no one else could match. Robert's in for a treat today!" Ethan said, smiling nonchalantly at Chloe and Sarah's anxious expressions.

"Right, I almost forgot about you. Robert has some health issues now given his age. Nothing beats a gift of good health!" Sarah, always quicker on the uptake than Chloe, immediately understood what Ethan meant.

Chloe, hearing this, also realized something.

Indeed, birthday party gifts were usually either priceless items or valuable health supplements. They were either expensive or beneficial for health, often accompanied by well-wishes for longevity.

Ethan, being a doctor, could easily help people stay healthy! Extending Robert's life by another twenty or thirty years would be no problem.

"Smart! But whether I give this birthday gift depends on what kind of person Robert is. If he's worth it, then fine. If not, there's no need to give him anything at all," Ethan said with a forced smile.

Chloe and Sarah both looked thoughtful upon hearing this.

As they spoke, Ethan had already driven up to the entrance of Robert's estate. However, getting in would take some time because there were so many people attending the birthday party, most of whom were nobles. Almost every family arrived in style, with each member practically having their own car, causing Ethan to be stuck in a slow-moving line.

Of course, there was more than one way to enter the estate. Given the estate's vast size, there were several entrances, each designated based on the guests' status, much like VIP lanes at airports or train stations.

Ethan hadn't announced his identity and was driving the car that Chloe had originally given him. Compared to the vehicles of the wealthy, his car seemed quite out of place.

"I didn't expect Robert's birthday party to be such a grand affair. It looks like everyone who's anyone in Novaria will be here!" Chloe said, looking at the line of cars with amazement.

"He's showing off, but he's got us stuck at the gate. It's infuriating!" Sarah complained.

"Calm down. We're not in a hurry. Let's wait," Ethan said nonchalantly, inching the car forward.

"This is so boring. Let's open the window for some air!" Sarah said with a huff, lowering the rear window.

To their surprise, a nearby car also lowered its window shortly after. From the driver's seat, Orlando, with a chubby face, whistled at Sarah and Chloe.

"Hey, beautiful ladies, why are you sitting in such a shabby car? Do you want to switch?" he said, his tone dripping with the arrogance of a spoiled rich kid, clearly not respecting Ethan.

Sarah muttered a complaint, annoyed that even opening the window for some air could attract such an idiot. She blamed Robert for inviting such scum and completely ignored the disgusting guy.

Chloe did the same, turning her head away.

Orlando hadn't expected his usually foolproof tactics to fail on Chloe and Sarah. He was feeling humiliated.

"Don't get me wrong, ladies. I'm Orlando, the General Manager of the Green Group. I want to make friends with you," Orlando said.

The Green Group was a well-known company in Novaria. Apart from top giants like the Harris family or the Cloud Group, the Green Group was among the leading enterprises, with assets in the billions.

However, Orlando clearly had yet to realize that he was dealing with people who wouldn't even bat an eye at the Green Group. Chloe and Sarah remained unmoved by his words, with Sarah looking at him with extreme disdain and disgust.
