Chapter 637 Looting the ML Guild
Ethan watched as Orla bared her teeth at Deborah, feeling pretty helpless.
Orla was still ticked off about being called a dog earlier.
Luckily, Orla didn't seem to want to make a scene and stayed quiet. If she started talking, she might just scare Deborah to death!
"She's got a bit of an attitude and isn't fond of strangers, so it's best not to mess with her," Ethan said, scratching his nose.
"What's so great about hanging out with a big guy like you? Shouldn't a cute wolf like her prefer girls?" Deborah pouted, clearly annoyed.
Orla just turned her head away, not even giving Deborah a glance, showing off her aloofness.
"Hey, how about we check out the ML Guild?" Ethan quickly changed the subject, pointing towards the ML Guild entrance.
"Mr. Wilson, you wrecked the ML Guild. Isn't it kinda weird for us to go there?" Patricia hesitated.
"There's nothing weird about it. I'm always generous with my friends, and the ML Guild's got a lot of good stuff. Aren't you even a little tempted?" Ethan shook his head with a smile.
"Mr. Wilson, giving such a big benefit to the Ladies Guild, you must have some conditions, right?" Patricia was cautious.
The ML Guild's resources were tempting, but Patricia knew nothing came for free. Plus, Ethan was the one who took down the ML Guild; they didn't help at all!
"I said we're friends. If you talk like that, it makes me sad. If you don't want it, I'll give it to someone else!" Ethan was both amused and a bit annoyed. Honestly, he didn't care much for the ML Guild's junk. Maybe the Hills Guild would be more interesting.
Ethan had seen the treasures of the SA Guild, and he didn't mind using the ML Guild's resources to win over the Ladies Guild.
Even if Ethan didn't ask for anything, the Ladies Guild would show their gratitude when needed.
That would be worth it!
"Wait, who said we don't want it? If it's free, of course, we want it, but you can't go back on your word or add any conditions!" Deborah, unlike Patricia, had no such concerns. Hearing Ethan's words, she got anxious and quickly reminded him.
"Deborah!" Patricia frowned, feeling helpless.
"Deborah's more straightforward than you. I promise there are no conditions. I'll keep what I need, and the rest is yours. Deal?" Ethan smiled and asked Patricia again.
"Mr. Wilson, you've made it clear. If I refuse, it would be pretentious and ungrateful!" Patricia could only shake her head and smile bitterly, as if she was being forced to accept this windfall, looking somewhat reluctant.
"Does this count as plundering?" Deborah asked excitedly.
"That's not quite right. It's more like dividing the spoils!" Ethan corrected her seriously.
"Ethan, these are the things we found on Dirk!" At that moment, Shane, who had thoroughly searched Dirk, came over with a few items.
Ethan glanced at the stuff, feeling a bit let down.
Besides a round token made of some unknown material, there were just a bunch of bottles and jars, mostly filled with pills.
"This must be the ML Guild leader's token, but now that the guild's gone, it's just a piece of junk," Patricia sighed, looking at the token.
"Do whatever you want with it. It's useless to me," Ethan shrugged, not caring about the items, and shook his head at Shane.
It seemed like even if he went into the ML Guild, there wouldn't be anything that caught his interest.
However, Deborah and Patricia were eyeing the pills in Shane's hands but didn't dare to ask.
"Let's go check out the ML Guild. I bet their resources will make the Ladies Guild pretty wealthy!" Seeing their interest, Ethan smiled and started heading towards the foot of Vast Mountain.
Shane stashed the loot and quickly followed.
Orla vanished in a flash, leaving Deborah puzzled. "Where did that wolf go?"
"Why do you care so much? That's Mr. Wilson's pet. Don't get any ideas. Didn't you notice that wolf isn't ordinary?" Patricia reminded Deborah seriously.
"Now that you mention it, it is weird. An ordinary wolf couldn't be that fast. I couldn't even touch it!" Deborah said, thinking about how Orla always managed to move several feet away whenever she got close.
"By the way, Patricia, Dirk said the treasure on this mountain was taken by Mr. Wilson. What do you think it is?" Deborah asked, curious.
"How would I know? Don't meddle. Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with us. Let's catch up!" Patricia reminded her seriously and quickly followed Ethan.
When Deborah asked, Patricia thought of Orla's proud figure and felt even more shocked, but she kept her thoughts to herself.
Their conversation didn't escape Ethan's ears, but he didn't care.
Kenneth didn't take long to deal with the remaining master-level members of the ML Guild. By the time Ethan reached the entrance to the ML Guild's secret realm, Kenneth already had four crystals that powered the Magic Circle in his hands.
"Nice work!" Ethan nodded at Kenneth, eyeing the four crystals.
"Mr. Wilson, there are more crystals inside the Magic Circle. We shouldn't leave them behind," Kenneth reminded Ethan.
Patricia and Deborah, who had just caught up, rolled their eyes at this.
They were really acting like they came to the ML Guild just to rob it.
"How did that wolf get here so fast? It's already ahead of us!" Deborah noticed Orla lying at Ethan's feet and exclaimed in surprise.
Ethan thought to himself, 'Isn't that obvious? Orla is at least at the grandmaster level. A few steps are nothing for her!'
But now, Patricia and Deborah must have realized Orla's extraordinary nature.
It seemed impossible to completely hide Orla's identity. He decided to keep quiet to avoid unnecessary trouble.
