"Ethan remained silent, only glancing at Kevin. His gaze held a hint of approval.
“Thank you, Sir!” Kevin said gratefully, feeling a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. He then turned to Chloe respectfully. “Miss, as Mr. Wilson’s friend, you are a valued guest in our restaurant. Therefore, please accept this.”
As he spoke, Kevin retrieved a gold-plated card from his pocket and handed it to Chloe, cradling it in both hands.
Sunrise Restaurant’s Supreme VIP Card!
As a Supreme VIP, all expenses at the restaurant will be given a 50% discount, and you will receive the highest-quality service.
In all of Novaria, there weren’t even ten of these membership cards!
Chloe held the card and glanced at Kevin, then to Ethan, her face filled with astonishment. The way Kevin handled Evan and the others earlier so quickly and neatly already left her in shock.
And now, he personally gave her this supreme membership card, which left her feeling somewhat overwhelmed.
‘Who exactly is Ethan, to command such respect from Sunrise Restaurant's owner?’ Chloe wondered with excitement and surprise. ‘Is he a close friend? No, that doesn't seem right... Do they owe him money?!’
As soon as she thought of that, Chloe couldn't help but burst into laughter. It was impossible for them to owe Ethan money! Under Cloud Group, Sunrise Restaurant was an established name in Novaria’s dining scene, well-known for its enormous profitability. Kevin was worth at least a few billion dollars as the owner, so how could he possibly be indebted to Ethan?
Just who was this guy? His skills were impressive, and his status was certainly not simple. Chloe felt like she had stumbled upon a treasure this time!
Not only her, but everyone in the restaurant was now fixated on Ethan, speculating about his identity. Those who were more well-informed leaned in, whispering softly, “Did you see that? When the owner came, he even bowed to that man! Friends don't typically do that to each other, so who could he be?”
“Evan's limbs are all broken, and that woman suffered even worse,” a female customer paled, stealing a glance at Ethan's face. “Do you think this gentleman could be the owner’s superior, a high-ranking executive at Cloud Group?”
Some male customers couldn't help but envy the attention Ethan and Chloe were receiving, their gazes shifting between the two with admiration.
The man was handsome and charismatic, while the woman was stunningly beautiful, like a goddess! To live life at such heights was the pinnacle of success!
“There's no need to guess about my identity,” Ethan disregarded all the surrounding gazes, smiling lightly at Chloe. “We’re just friends.”
Friends. With just a simple word, Chloe's smile bloomed instantly, with the precious VIP membership card in her hand shining even brighter.
In front of Chloe, he smiled and said, “50% discount, and the previous orders don't count. I’ll be paying, so order whatever you want again!”
There was no need to place an order at all.
Kevin had already made arrangements before leaving. A luxurious food trolley quickly arrived, filled with Sunrise Restaurant’s signature dishes costing at least a few hundred thousand dollars.
As the dishes were being plated, Chloe's smile gradually froze.
A few hundred thousand dollars?! Even with a 50% discount, it was still a huge amount. Starting a business wasn’t easy, and seeing so much money being spent on just one meal made her heart ache.
The food trolley server was extremely respectful. “The owner said that your bill today will be paid by the restaurant. Please enjoy your meal.”
Ethan shook his head and smiled. “That’s thoughtful. Tell the owner he did a good job.”
“Yes, Sir!”
The server bowed and then pushed the food trolley away.
Chloe was once again stunned, looking at Ethan with a puzzled expression.
Kevin must owe this guy a lot of money!
“The food is here, let's eat.”
Ethan said as he picked up his chopsticks and started eating quietly.
Although it was the same meal, their moods were completely different. Ethan ate calmly, but occasionally furrowed his brows while lost in thought.
On the other hand, Chloe ate with great enthusiasm while guessing Ethan's identity. She couldn't help but look at his face from time to time, unable to contain her curiosity. “You don't seem very happy. Is something the matter?”
“I'm feeling a bit emotional.”
He put down his chopsticks and his gaze slightly darkened. “Evan is just the vice president of a subsidiary company, but he abuses Cloud Group’s reputation, acting arrogantly and domineeringly. It's despicable.”
Chloe ate and smiled, “That's normal. Cloud Group is such a big company, so the employees below would naturally be mixed up. The upper management could only turn a blind eye to this, since they can’t really do anything else about it.”
Turn a blind eye?
A cold light flashed in Ethan's eyes.
A big wooden house can be destroyed by a colony of termites. People like Evan were stumbling blocks in Cloud Group’s development. They must be thoroughly eradicated, with no compromises!
“Actually, Evan isn't the worst. There are people worse than him.” Chloe obviously didn't notice Ethan's expression. She took a sip of her juice as her pretty face showed slight concern. “Ah, I didn't want to tell you this.”
Four months ago, her company collaborated with a subsidiary company under Cloud Group, but even after the project was completed, they still hadn't received the final payment of over 6 million dollars. They couldn't retrieve it no matter what, and it was giving her a headache!
“That subsidiary company is not short of money.”
The more Chloe talked, the more frustrated she became.
She sulked, not even drinking the juice, and said, “I work in interior design, and making money is not easy!”
“That bastard Zachary, taking advantage of being Cloud Group’s subsidiary, is deliberately not paying. Tell me, isn't he more horrible than Evan?!”
Zachary!
Ethan's gaze suddenly turned cold.
Zachary was the president of Cloud Infrastructure, and his reputation in the industry has never been great. However, his work performance was still decent and brought in considerable profits to the group.
But it's not a reason to maliciously withhold payment for a collaboration!
During the internal reorganization of Cloud Group, he will be targeted!
“After dinner, let's go to Cloud Infrastructure,” Ethan remained calm and said lightly, “I'll ask Zachary for the payment he owes you.”
“You'll ask him for me?”
Chloe was first taken aback, her pretty face filled with disbelief.
But even Kevin showed such respect toward Ethan, so maybe this guy really has a way?
“I’d given up hope, but since you say so, let's give it one more try.” she pursed her lips and smiled lightly.
“However, be prepared. If you get kicked out by Zachary as well, don't blame me for not warning you.”

Ethan caught onto that word precisely and chuckled a few times.
He felt secretly annoyed!
With just one word, it was obvious that she had been kicked out by Zachary more than once when demanding payment!
Was this how Cloud Infrastructure treated their partners?
Zachary must’ve taken the presidency to an extreme!
“Let's continue eating.”
Ethan picked up his chopsticks again and said softly, “We'll leave after we finish.”
Half an hour later.
The two of them left Sunrise Restaurant. Chloe drove, and they swiftly headed toward Cloud Infrastructure in a white BMW X3 sedan.
