Chapter 530 Terrified Stanley

Ethan just flopped down next to Angela like nothing even happened.

Angela shot Ethan a death glare. She wanted to mess with him but ended up in hot water herself, letting him get the upper hand.

The air marshal, seeing the whole thing, let out a sigh of relief but still walked up to Ethan with a serious face and said, "Sir, you can't just go around using brute force. If there's a problem, let us know. This is your only warning. Do it again, and for everyone's safety, I'll have to kick you off the plane."

"Sorry, it was just a misunderstanding," Angela quickly jumped in, seeing Ethan's chill attitude and worried about more drama.

"Your wife is way more reasonable than you," the air marshal finally said, looking satisfied.

"Well, duh, why else would she be my wife?" Ethan said, grinning proudly.

Angela's face darkened.

The chaos finally died down. With Ethan, who looked weak but was actually a beast, sitting next to Angela, no one dared to mess with her or even look her way.

"Lost six hundred bucks and didn't even get her name. And she's married," Stanley, now in Ethan's seat, snapped out of it and muttered under his breath. He turned his head and saw Ethan staring at him, which freaked him out, making him look away fast.

"Great, what if he comes after me when we land? Security in Phukettle is a joke." Thinking about Ethan's earlier badass move, Stanley got nervous and suddenly wanted to get off the plane ASAP.

"Babe, I bet he's thinking about how to get off the plane right now," Ethan said to Angela with a smirk.

"Who you calling babe?" Angela snapped at Ethan, gritting her teeth.

"Didn't you just say it yourself?" Ethan looked at Angela, confused.

Angela was speechless, unable to come up with a comeback.

"Give me my money back," Stanley, looking like he'd lost his mind, walked up to Marlon and demanded with a hostile look.

"You gave me that money to switch seats. How can you take it back?" Marlon blushed, clutching his computer bag with the money tightly to his chest.

"Are you blind? Didn't you see I didn't sit in your seat? If you want the money, ask that guy for it. Now give me my money back." Stanley, trying to copy Ethan's earlier move, grabbed Marlon by the collar, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't lift him from the seat.

"What the hell are you doing? Somebody help! Air marshal, he's attacking me!" Marlon yelled, freaking out.

A few minutes later, Stanley got dragged off the plane by the air marshal, still out six hundred bucks and fuming.

"See? Told ya," Ethan chuckled at the whole mess.

"You're so lame," Angela shot back, turning away to ignore him.

"You started this, and I'm the lame one?" Ethan pouted, not bothered at all. "But hey, having a wife to keep me company on this trip ain't so bad, right?"

"What are you even talking about? Shut up," Angela snapped, almost ready to deck him but knowing she couldn't take him.

"Still need my help?" Ethan asked, grinning.

"I'm just following orders. It's not up to me," Angela grumbled, swallowing her anger because she knew the mission was important.

"At least you know your place," Ethan laughed.

"Honestly, I think your idea's solid. Let's pretend to be a couple; it'll make things smoother. But you gotta listen to me," Ethan suddenly got serious.

"Did Bennit put you up to this?" Angela asked, frowning.

"Don't play dumb. Bennit asked me to help you bring that thing back, but you gotta do me a favor too," Ethan said, dead serious.

"What could you possibly need from me?" Angela scoffed.

"It's simple. Just know what to say and what not to say," Ethan explained calmly.

"What do you mean?" Angela looked suspicious.

"I don't want too many people knowing my business, including your bosses," Ethan warned.

"You want me to cover up what you did in Lope Town? If you did nothing wrong, why are you scared of people knowing?" Angela frowned, even more suspicious.

"Everyone's got secrets they don't want out, and it might not be what you think. Or can you tell me what color and style of underwear you're wearing today?" Ethan made a cheeky analogy, clearly teasing Angela.

Angela blushed, too mad to speak.

"Of course, you can choose to spill everything to show your loyalty, but then there'll be no trust between us," Ethan looked her in the eyes, dead serious.

Ethan's sudden seriousness left Angela speechless, just staring at him.

"The choice is yours. Don't worry, no matter what you choose, I won't make things hard for you. Like you said, I did nothing wrong, so I got nothing to fear," Ethan finished and closed his eyes, pretending to nap in his seat.
