Chapter 128 Pushing People Around

"You better watch your mouth! Don't make me shut it for you!"

Hannah was genuinely provoked by the woman's harsh and biting remarks.

Her failed marriage had always been a sore point, and not providing Camila with a complete family made her feel deeply guilty.

The thought of this woman repeatedly opening her wounds, then rubbing salt in them, was more than she could bear.

"Hmph, I'll let you be smug for now. Once my husband arrives, even if you bring a squad of men, you will need more. I'll make you all kneel and beg for forgiveness!"

The woman recoiled instinctively, stepping back while keeping her son behind her and continuing to spew her threats.

"What's going on here? Oh, isn't that Mrs. Juliet? What brings you to school today to check on your kid?"
Just then, a middle-aged woman approached the door of Ms. Klein's office. Upon spotting the plump lady, her face twisted into an obsequious smile as she hurried forward to greet her.

"Shoot, that's Assistant Principal Agnes. She and Mrs. Juliet are pretty tight!" Ms. Klein's expression soured instantly, and she whispered a hurried warning to Hannah.

"Perfect timing, Agnes. I'm here to file a complaint against your school's teachers, this student, and her parents! They dare to gang up and bully my child. I demand an explanation," the plump woman declared, seizing the moment to accuse Hannah and the others before Agnes could react.

"Oh? Ms. Klein, what on earth is going on here? Explain!" Agnes demanded, her tone turning stern as she addressed Ms. Klein.

"Agnes, it's not how she's portraying it..." Ms. Klein gave a brief rundown of the events, which further darkened Agnes's mood.

"Nonsense! It’s the three of you who conspired to torment my little angel. Who knows what might have happened to him if I hadn't arrived when I did! Agnes, for such teachers and students, I recommend immediate termination," the plump woman insisted, certain that Agnes was on her side and began issuing commands.

"Ms. Klein, you've deeply disappointed me! Given your behavior today, I'll be reporting directly to the principal. For now, you're suspended, and once I get a directive from the principal, you'll be out! As for you, our preschool will not tolerate trash. How dare you conspire with a teacher to bully a student? I will not stand for it. You're expelled," Agnes retorted with a cold sneer at Hannah and her company, clearly in cahoots with the plump woman.

Hannah was livid. "You're just the Assistant Principal. What right do you have to fire teachers and students? Call the Principal. I want to see if your preschool operates on hearsay and whims."

Hannah was exasperated, regretting she had ever chosen to send her daughter to such a preschool. Agnes, in response, laughed dismissively. "The Principal isn't someone you can summon at will. She's away on business, and I'm in charge now."

Agnes exchanged a knowing glance with the plump woman, betraying their complicity.

"Let's just leave, Hannah. Who wants to stay in a preschool like this? It's just a shame for the kids here..." Ms. Klein said, her voice tinged with bitterness as she held back Hannah, who was still eager to argue.
"Sorry, Ms. Klein, for dragging you into this mess with Camila! I assure you, there will be a fair resolution to today's incident," Hannah said, grateful for the teacher who had responsibly stopped Tony from bullying her daughter and promptly notified her. Who knows what would've happened at school if she hadn't intervened!

Moreover, Ms. Klein's unwavering stance against Agnes and that bullying woman, despite their threats, spoke volumes of her character. That's the kind of integrity a kindergarten teacher should have!

Just then, a pompous voice echoed, "What grand words! A little lady thinks she can talk about fairness? Fairness isn't something that can be spoken into existence!"

A middle-aged man in a sharp suit appeared at the office doorway.

"Honey, you've finally arrived! You must stand up for our son! These three people, including one of the teachers, ganged up on him! That woman was even ready to attack me with a weapon! You would've missed seeing your wife and son if you hadn’t arrived in time!"

As Harold walked in, the lady’s eyes lit up. She rushed toward him, sobbing and sniffling dramatically, which left them all speechless. Like mother, like son–Tony must have inherited his dramatic flair from her.

"Step aside. If it weren't for my son's sake, I wouldn't bother dealing with you!" Harold's face twisted in disgust, clearly dissatisfied with his wife. After all, who didn't know her true nature? She thought they would not bully her if she weren't bullying others. Every time she'd call for him, it was because she had found herself in a tough spot.

"Harold, I hear your corporation is doing quite well. I want to think your success doesn't stem from being unreasonable," Hannah said, taking a deep breath and attempting to reason with Harold.

Harold's eyes lit up when he finally got a good look at Hannah–a seemingly well-composed woman. If only she could take his wife's place, his life would be much better.

"And who might you be?" he asked, seemingly indifferent but internally scheming how to lure her into his bed.

"Hannah. It's just a minor thing, Harold. Our kids had a dispute at school, and the teacher called us in. Your wife hit my daughter, and now she's playing the victim. I trust you're a man of reason, Harold, right?"
Hannah probed Harold's demeanor with subtle cunning.

"Daddy, they were picking on me, and Camila even shoved me down. My butt hurts so much!"
At that moment, Tony unleashed his inner child actor, immediately flinging himself in front of Harold and bursting into tears under his mother's cue.

Harold's most treasured possession was his son; his weathered face instantly darkened at the news.

"How dare they push my boy? Little brats deserve a spanking!"
Hannah's eyes widened in shock, thinking how true the saying was: like father, like son!
