Chapter 1013 Kids Fighting
Since Emmeline and Jara had arrived, she had nothing to worry about.
Soon, the car stopped in front of the Ethanbezs house.
Elicia waited at the door early in the morning when she heard Matteo was on her way.
The two old ladies had been friends since childhood. As a result, there was no need to bring up their friendship.
When Elicia learned that Matteo was coming over, she was overjoyed.
Despite her family's objections, she insisted on greeting them personally early in the morning.
The two elderly ladies hugged each other as the group got out of the cars. The scene was very touching.
However, the weather was not in our favor today, and it was quite cold. Despite their excitement, they did not allow the two elders to stay outside any longer.
Bowen stepped in to assist Elicia and added, "It's so cold outside, Mom. Let's go in and have a chat."
Only then did Matteo nod her head.
"Yes, we should talk inside. Matteo, come on in."
Just as the group of people entered the house, someone came forward to greet them.
As members of the Ethanbez Family, Jameson and Lauren had arrived some time ago.
After all, the 70th birthday celebration was a big event for the Ethanbez Family. Many things needed to be prepared, as well as certain business matters that needed to be addressed.
As a result, Lauren took her child and came over with Jameson.
Lauren received a text message from Clarissa before she arrived.
At this moment, Lauren knew they had arrived when she heard movement in the living room.
After handing the child over to the nanny, she rushed over.
"Hello, Clarissa!"
"Hey, Lauren!"
They were having a happy reunion together. Anderson, on the other hand, stood by the side and was left alone.
Elicia was overjoyed to see Anne and Marf and called them over.
The two kids responded obediently after being asked about their names and ages.
Then, Elicia's eyes widened into slits as she asked Lauren, "Has Zachary slept yet? Bring him over to play if he hasn't. Let him meet Anne and Marf!"
With a smile, Lauren replied, "He's not asleep. Since there are so many people here, I'll take them to the garden later."
Elicia nodded.
The living room had an overwhelming number of adults, making it unsuitable for children to play in.
After chatting with Clarissa for a while, Lauren then took Anne and Marf to the garden.
Of course, the house was big. When they arrived at the garden, Clarissa found that they had built an amusement park for the children.
Lauren and Jameson's son, Zachary, was sitting there with a vexed expression on his face at the time. His brows were furrowed, and he had an awkward expression on his face.
"Zachary, come over to greet Anne and Marf," Lauren said with a gentle grin as she walked over.
Hearing this, Zachary raised his eyes to her. Despite his displeasure, he came nicely.
Lauren took his hand in hers and introduced the two of them to him. "This is Anne, and this is Marf. Can you remember?"
With a pair of large and watery eyes, Zachary looked at them.
Anne, the eldest of the children, was the most open-minded, so she reached out her little hand right away.
"Hello, Zachary. My name is Anne."
Zachary blinked his eyes and then blinked again.
Just when everyone thought that he didn't like her, he threw himself at Anne, hugging her.
"You're pretty! I like a pretty big sister!"
Clarissa and Lauren were both stunned.
They noticed that Zachary, who had been upset earlier, was now smiling contentedly.
He raised his head to look at Anne, who stood one head taller than he did.
At this moment, an enraged yell was heard.
"You're not allowed to hug my sister!"
With a furious expression, Marf rushed up to Zachary and pushed him away.
Despite being one and a half years younger than Zachary, Marf had great strength. Additionally, Zachary most likely did not expect to be pushed, and as a result, he fell to the ground.
He hadn't expected his enthusiasm to be met with such hostility. He was surprised for a few seconds before sitting down and sobbed uncontrollably.
Seeing this, Clarissa and Lauren panicked instantly.
"Don't cry, Zachary. Marf didn't mean it. It's fine."
Clarissa also walked over, squatted down, and pulled the Marf over. She remarked solemnly, "Marf, didn't I tell you not to hit anyone randomly? Why did you push Zachary?"
Marf looked at her with his eyes blinking. His wide round eyes twinkled like two black crystal grapes, looking especially adorable.
Perhaps sensing Clarissa's seriousness, he twitched his mouth and grumbled, "Mommy, you said that I am a boy, and I should protect my sister."
As he spoke, he abruptly turned his head and pointed at Zachary, who was sobbing.
"He's bullying Anne!"
Clarissa was taken aback for a time before realizing what had happened. Her strained face couldn't hold it in any longer, and she burst out laughing.
"Zachary didn't bully Anne. He likes her!"
Marf shook his head.
"No. He's bullying her. In the book, it is said that girls and boys cannot hug casually. He hugged Anne. He's a bad guy!"
At this point, Anne was likewise at a loss. Marf was on one side, while Zachary was on the other. She didn't know what to do.
At this point, Lauren had also grasped what was going on.
She also couldn't help giggling.
While coaxing the crying and sad Zachary, she gave a thumbs-up to Marf.
"Marf, you're right. It's Zachary's fault. He shouldn't hug Anne without permission."
As she spoke, she softly coaxed Zachary.
"Zachary, did you hear that? You must first get Anne's permission before hugging her in the future, okay?"
"Anne, go comfort Zachary," Clarissa remarked when she saw that Zachary had not stopped crying.
In fact, Anne was at a loss for what to do.
She didn't think there was anything wrong with hugging. Most importantly, she was afraid that if she went over, Marf would be hurt since he was only trying to protect her.
When she turned around and saw Marf wrapped in Clarissa's embrace, she knew he was in good hands. As a result, she just started walking in the direction of Zachary.
"Zachary, stop crying, okay? Let's play a game!"
Anne was indeed a good older sister. She had a knack for soothing children.
Zachary had always liked her. Although he was still sobbing unhappily, he wasn't reluctant to hear her words.
Raising his teary little face, he gazed up at her.
As she sobbed, she asked, "What... what are we playing?"
"Let's play hide-and-seek, shall we?" Anne responded after thinking for a moment.
"Alright," Zachary responded aggrievedly after some thought.
