Chapter 708 A Cloud of Mist
After hearing that, Clarissa snorted. "Then how do you know that the person who hurt me was the one with the flame tattoo on the back of his neck?"
In response to her question, Jara replied, "I saw it with my own eyes."
Stunned, Clarissa knitted her eyebrows.
"What do you mean? Didn't you say that you blew me up?"
Hearing that she repeated what he said, Jara couldn't help but laugh.
However, he went back to the topic and said, "Well, that's right, but that doesn't mean that I didn't see anything else."
In fact, he was deliberately hiding the truth, so Clarissa frown again.
"Jara, can you finish speaking in one breath?"
"Of course. Kiss me and I'll tell you everything."
"How dare you!"
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and tried hard to suppress the impulse to grab him and give him a good beating.
After a while, she insidiously smiled and said, "Suddenly, I don't feel like listening anymore. What do you say if I go back to Sapleusia right now, and go to the Holland family to find you so I can beat you up? Do you think I will be able to come back in time?"
Her tone was sinister. Naturally, Jara could tell.
Knowing that she was really angry, he smiled and didn't keep her guessing.
Then, he said seriously, "Well, to tell you the truth, I saw them before I came up to save you, but I didn't think much about it at that time."
"Later, when picked you up from the sea and found that our ships were the only ships near the area. Since we didn't throw you into the sea, they had to be the one who did it if there were no other accidents."
"That sea area was very wide, and you were not wearing any safety measures. Hence, it was impossible that you float over from afar and still be alive. The answer is obvious."
After listening, Clarissa frowned deeply.
Subsequently, she asked, "Do you remember the appearance of those people or any of their other characteristics?"
"There are no other characteristics. There were all sorts of people on the ship. The only thing common they had was a flame symbol on the back of the neck."
After a pause, Jara continued, "After that, I did check the symbol, but I didn't find any clues. It has nothing to do with me, so I didn't pay much attention to it. If you really want to know, you can check it yourself."
Instantly, Clarissa was silent for a moment.
After a moment, she requested unceremoniously, "Send me the picture of the symbol later."
Upon hearing that, Jara laughed, "Oh, Seven is asking for my help?"
"Jara, you should leave yourself some leeway so that when we meet in the future I won't hate you too much. You should understand that."
Again, Jara clicked his tongue, but he didn't reject her. After agreeing to her request, he hung up the call.
After hanging up the phone, soon, Jara did draw a sketch and sent it over.
Although it was called a sketch, it was indeed extremely sloppy.
After looking at it carefully for a long time, Clarissa finally figured out the shape of the image.
She disliked that the picture he drew was too ugly, and she still copied it herself. After she finished drawing, she found that it was indeed a flame-shaped symbol.
Looking at the picture, she knitted her eyebrows.
She was uncertain if it was her illusion, but she always felt that she seemed to have seen this symbol somewhere.
Several fragments of images suddenly flashed through her mind.
Because it was too fast, before she managed to see what it was, the picture disappeared.
Then, she felt a sharp pain.
Immediately, Clarissa let out a muffled moan. Her fingertips trembled slightly, and the paper fell to the ground. Following that, she hugged her head and curled up.
At the moment, Nora, who was in the living room, ran in after hearing the commotion. Her expression changed when she saw Clarissa hugging her head and crouching in front of the window.
Rushing over in a hurry, Nora asked nervously, "Clarissa, what's wrong with you?"
At that moment, Clarissa's brows were tightly furrowed, and a throbbing pain came from the depths of her head. It was as if a hammer was constantly hitting her.
While she did not speak, she clenched her teeth with her turning as white as sheet.
Seeing that, Nora was frightened and was about to take out her phone to make a call.
"Don't worry. I'll call to send you to the hospital right away."
However, just as she removed the phone, and before she could dial the number, Clarissa grabbed the corner of her shirt.
As soon as she turned back, she saw Clarissa's weak and pale face, as she lifted her head from her knees and said, "No, I'm fine."
Immediately, Nora squatted down to support her.
"Are you really all right? I think you very bad."
In response to that, Clarissa shook her head.
With Nora's help, she stood up and walked to the sofa next to her to sit down.
"Can you pour me a glass of water?"
Quickly, Nora nodded. "Sure, wait a moment."
As she spoke, she ran out.
Shortly after, a cup of warm water was brought into the room.
Taking the cup, Clarissa drank several mouthfuls of water.
As warm water traveled down her throat, it soothed her emotions.
Looking at her, and it wasn't until she seemed to stabilized that Nora asked with concern, "Just now... Where did you not feel well?"
But Clarissa shook her head.
As she held the cup, sitting there, her gaze was at a loss and confused.
"I just thought of something."
Hearing that, Nora was startled.
She didn't know that she had lost part of her memory before, so she didn't quite understand it.
When Clarissa saw her reaction, she came around and explained, "I was once injured and lost three months of my memory. I don't know why, but a lot of images suddenly appeared in my head earlier. Although I can't see what it is, my intuition tells me that it must be what happened in the past three months."
While Nora was listening, she revealed a surprised expression.
"How could this be?"
Clarissa didn't know why it was like this, but based on her intuition, it should have something to do with the pattern she just drew.
With the thought in mind, her eyes fell on the place where she had squatted down just now.
She walked over and picked up the paper.
The pattern on the paper that she had just drawn was a simple flame. But she felt as if the fire was burning her heart.
Meanwhile, Nora had never seen this before, so she was a little curious.
"What is this?"
Pursing her lips, Clarissa explained, "It's a symbol. It was said that there is a group of people who all have this symbol on the back of their necks. Have you ever seen anyone who has it?"
With her brows knitted, Nora really thought about it seriously, then, she shook her head.
"I've never seen anyone with this before."
Yeah! She had never anyone with before too.
Even someone like Jara hadn't been able to find out who it was. One could only imagine how well this group of people had disguised themselves.
For such a group of people, who were they? What kind of relationship they had with her?
"What on earth happened in those three months nine years ago?"
Everything was like a cloud of mist, enveloping Clarissa's heart.
If she didn't figure it out, she would never feel at ease for the rest of her life.
It was already very late. The next day, the two of them had to take a flight back to Sapleusia early in the morning. So, after Nora confirmed that Clarissa was really fine, and was ready to go to bed too.
