Chapter 104 I Didn't Lie To You
Clarissa scratched her hair and her face looked so annoyed.
Seeing that he didn't speak for a long time, she said impatiently, "Say it if you have anything to say! Otherwise, I will leave!"
"Wait!"
Anderson stopped her in a low voice. Then he stood up and walked towards her.
Clarissa breathed rapidly for no reason.
He stopped in front of her and looked at her with his hands in his trouser pockets.
Seeing the annoyance that flashed across her face, although his face was still straight, his intense and dark eyes smiled slightly.
"Last night, you were angry with me just because of this?"
Clarissa was stunned.
She looked up at him in shock.
Anderson added in a light tone.
"Someone from the Richardson family told you about this?"
Clarissa opened her eyes wide again.
Why did he know everything?
How could he be so well-informed?
Anderson quickly solved her doubts.
"My engagement with Levine family is very secret. In Visstead, only Mrs. Richardson, who has a close relationship with the Levine family, knows about it. But you didn't see her last night, and she didn't tell you about this on the phone before, so it can be inferred that she was not going to tell you about this."
"But since she didn't tell you, someone would tell you for her. Dawson, as her favorite grandson, might have heard it from her by chance. He has known you since childhood. Seeing that you're with me now, he would naturally want to help you and tell you this matter. Am I right?"
Clarissa opened her mouth in astonishment.
The shock in her heart was beyond words.
How could Anderson... be so miraculously smart?
But after a moment of shock, she quickly calmed down.
She took a step back and looked at him indifferently.
"So what? Dare you say that what he said is not true?"
"It is true."
He answered without hesitation, which made Clarissa stunned again.
Immediately afterwards, she went berserk.
"So? What do you want to say by stopping me?"
She was really going crazy!
She had never seen someone who had done something wrong but could still be so reasonable!
That was going too far!
Although she had never expected that they could spend the rest of their lives together, at least she was still Mrs. Jordan in name. Even if they were just partners, he should be frank with her!
She had the right to know about that!
Looking at Clarissa who had got furious in front of him, Anderson suddenly felt so satisfied in his heart for no reason.
"Are you... jealous now?"
"Bullsh*t!"
Clarissa flew into a rage completely. She pushed away Anderson who stood in front of her and roared, "Get out! I'm not in the mood to talk nonsense with you here! Whether you have a fiancee or a daughter, it's none of my business! Get out!"
She seemed to be completely irritated, and even her eyes were bloodshot.
Anderson stared at her.
He could see his own face in Clarissa's slightly red eyes. Although she looked calm, the expression in her eyes was complicated.
Then she pushed him away hard and ran upstairs.
Clarissa went directly into the bedroom.
Anderson followed closely behind her.
Seeing her packing her clothes angrily, his eyelids twitched violently.
"What are you doing?"
He held her hand.
Clarissa stared at him fiercely.
Anderson's throat tightened slightly.
"Let go of me!"
"No!"
"Anderson, don't make me lose my temper!"
Clarissa really went wild!
She had never felt so mad in her life!
Why did Anderson think that he could deceive her like this?
Anderson looked at her seriously and said in a deep voice, "Give me a chance to explain."
"I'm not interested in your explanation!"
"Clarissa!"
"Let go of me! Oh!"
Suddenly, he kissed her and made her unable to say what she wanted to say.
His kiss was overbearing. With great strength, he pressed the back of her head with one hand, and held her waist with the other. He hugged her so tightly, as if he wanted to reach the depth of her soul.
Clarissa struggled with great strength at first, but later she found that it was useless. Anderson was so good at kissing that he didn't even give her time to react.
Soon, her mind was in a mess. She couldn't think of anything, nor could she do anything.
After a long time, Anderson finally let go of her.
Clarissa's face blushed a little, but her eyes were full of tears. She looked angry but shy. Lowering his head and looking at her like this, Anderson laughed in a low voice.
"You care about me so much, which makes me very happy."
His voice was a little horse and sexy.
Clarissa glared at him fiercely.
"Who cares about you?"
"If you don't care about me, why are you angry?"
"Everybody will be angry when they're cheated?"
"I did not cheat you."
"You……"
"I do have a marriage contract with Levine family, but it was made when I was five years old. Besides, the girl who was supposed to marry me has died, so this marriage contract doesn't count anymore. Gabriela is just the adopted daughter of the Levine family, and she is not qualified to marry into my family."
Clarissa was stunned.
She stared at him with a pair of watery eyes.
Anderson continued to explain, "I didn't deliberately hide from you that I have a child. Last time you asked me who I was talking to on the phone, and I told you that she was a very important person in my life. I originally planned to take you to see her in Flaucford, but you put it off again and again. You can't blame me for this, can you?"
Clarissa opened her mouth.
She was so shocked that she couldn't react.
After a while, she looked away and said in a dull voice, "You could tell me in advance."
"I thought you knew that."
He had a child indeed. Although this matter was not well known, anyone who was familiar with him should know it.
Clarissa had lived in Estdal Manor for along, and every day she got along with Pattie and other old servants who had been working in the Jordan Family for more than ten years, so he thought that she should have heard of it.
Clarissa thought of this, too. She was speechless and didn't know what to say.
The atmosphere suddenly became embarrassed for no reason.
She always felt that there was something wrong in this matter. Although what he said seemed to be right according to the logical fact, she felt that something was wrong.
But she couldn't tell what was wrong.
Anderson looked at her and chuckled.
"I have confessed to you, and should you tell me why did you meet Mark now?"
Clarissa looked up at him.
His eyes were brooding, and his dark pupils were like two bottomless and mysterious lakes.
She pursed her lips, "I met him because I want to investigate the truth of my mother's death."
Anderson frowned imperceptibly.
"Do you suspect that there some other reason for mom's death?"
Clarissa glared at him.
"That's my mother!"
"Your mother is my mother. Is there anything wrong with my address?"
Clarissa was speechless.
Forget it. She didn't want to wrangle with him.
She nodded, "Yes, but I have no evidence, so I wanted to find someone to help me investigate it. I heard that he was very good in this area, so I asked him to help me. Today, he made an appointment with me because he has found some clues to this matter and he wanted to talk to me."
