Chapter 240 Leave In Panic
Erin nodded, "Fine. I will deal with this matter first, and you should be careful. Don't make trouble again. Many bad things happened to us recently. You'd better stay at home obediently and don't go anywhere, so as not to cause trouble again. Just wait for my news."
Lara finally let out a sigh of relief when she heard that Erin was willing to come forward.
She nodded obediently, "Okay, I see. Thank you, Erin."
Not long after Erin left, Elliot called her.
Lara looked at the caller ID on the phone with slightly cold eyes.
She had long known that they were no longer in love. It would be good not to regard each other as enemies after they fell out, so how could they still love each other?
However, looking at his name which was flashing on the screen, she felt that her heart was bleeding painfully as if something had been hollowed out from her heart.
She took a deep breath and then answered the phone.
On the phone, Elliot's voice was very gloomy.
"Did you really kidnap Clarissa?"
Lara reluctantly moved her lips and smiled indifferently.
"Didn't you know it a long time ago? Why are you acting dumb now? When I sent someone to find the medicine, it was one of your assistants who gave it to me. Don't tell me that he did it without your permission."
Elliot said coldly, "Do you think I don't know that you have bribed many of my assistants behind my back? I just turned a blind eye to it and didn't want to argue with you, but you use this excuse to shift the blame?"
Lara was stunned.
She chuckled.
"So are you questioning me now?"
"Shouldn't I question you? You know how much Twilight has invested in you! We got you the role in the drama, and now you're about to sign the endorsement contact, but you made such trouble. How should you explain to our business partner?"
Lara paused slightly.
She lowered her eyes and sneered apathetically after a moment.
"I have thought of a way to solve this! Why are you so anxious? Or, you are so anxious not because of the endorsement, but because of your ex-girlfriend Clarissa? You used to abandon her without hesitation, but now she is perfect in your heart!"
"Lara!"
"Don't call me so angrily, because it will make me feel that my guess is true."
There was no expression on her face, but her eyes were as chilly and gloomy as an ancient well.
Something had been broken quietly in her heart.
It was like a broken mirror that couldn't be pieced together again, and it was so badly damaged that she couldn't even see it clearly.
After Lara finished speaking, she hung up the phone calmly, and then took a deep breath and went out to eat.
At the same time, Clarissa learned that Erin wanted to see her.
Of course, Erin didn't dare to go directly to Estdal Manor, although she knew that Clarissa would definitely go back to Estdal Manor first if she really came back.
But not everyone could enter Estdal Manor casually.
It would be bad if she was denied entrance, so she just went to Starlight. She wanted Millie to call Clarissa and make an appointment with her.
Millie was very clever, and she really didn't know that Clarissa had come back.
Therefore, hearing that Erin wanted to see her, she immediately got very unhappy. After all, among the various rumors on the Internet, there was a guess that Lara sent someone to kidnap Clarissa.
Although she thought that it was not very possible, she still disliked Erin.
"Everyone knows that Clarissa has been kidnapped, but you're here to find her. Don't you think it's ridiculous? I also want to find her! If we can find her, how can we be so anxious now?"
Hearing her impolite words, Erin suddenly felt somewhat embarrassed.
But she was here to beg Clarissa, so she couldn't get mad no matter how unhappy she was.
Therefore, she said patiently, "I just want you to call her, or you can give me her number and I will call her on my own."
Millie sneered.
"Why should I give it to you?"
Erin looked at her seriously.
"Don't you want to know where she is?"
Millie was surprised.
She looked at Erin suspiciously and felt that something was wrong.
The news of Clarissa's disappearance was reported by the police. No one had found her yet. Why was Erin so sure that she could find Clarissa by calling her?
But she still called Clarissa because she was worried about her safety.
Unexpectedly, the phone was really connected.
Millie was overjoyed, but she heard a low and cold voice on the the phone the next second.
"What's wrong?"
It was not Clarissa, but a man.
Millie was startled, and she immediately understood who he was.
She opened her mouth wide in surprise. Realizing that Erin was still standing outside, she bit back the exclamation that she was about to blurt out.
"Nothing... I just want to ask if Clarissa... is all right?"
Anderson sat on the sofa and glanced at Clarissa who was applying a facial mask next to him.
Clarissa gestured to him, and then he said, "She's okay. Keep it a secret."
Millie nodded, "Oh, okay. I see."
After she said that, Anderson hung up the phone.
She stared at the phone and was stunned for several seconds before she reacted.
She was still in a daze, but her heart was filled with joy. Her happy and excited emotions were like a small volcano which was about to erupt immediately.
She took a deep breath and stood for a few seconds before she suppressed the excitement in her heart. Then she returned to indifferent and walked out.
Standing there and seeing Millie coming out, Erin immediately stepped forward.
"How is it? Did she say that she wanted see me?"
Millie frowned and looked at her unpleasantly and suspiciously, "Why do you think that Clarissa has come back?"
Erin was dumbfounded.
She smiled reluctantly, "I just heard that she was back, so I came here to ask."
Millie sneered.
"Oh? Is that so? Who was talking nonsense outside? I called her just now and no one answered the phone. I called her home and they told me that she hasn't come back! They are still looking for her everywhere."
"I don't know who told you that Clarissa has come back. I think that person must know something. Why don't you tell me her name? I want to ask her in person!"
Erin's face changed and she felt a little flustered.
She forced a smile, "I... just heard it by accident. Well, since you can't find her, forget it. I will come here another day."
After speaking, she left in a hurry.
Seeing Erin leaving in panic, Millie breathed a sigh of relief.
At the same time, Clarissa took her mobile phone, clicked on it and turned it off.
In order to prevent people from finding her, her mobile phone had been switched off these days.
Just now, she remembered that there was some important information in the phone, so she asked Anderson to turn it on and transfer it.
