Chapter 612 He Had Already Gone Crazy

At the moment, Marty had no idea that Forbos had killed so many people, as he thought Evelyn was scared because she had been kidnapped.
Hence, with a nod, he reached out to hold her hand to comfort her.
Then, he turned to Aria and ordered coldly, "Take him away and call the police. When they arrive, ask them to lock him up first and I will deal with everything later."
Upon hearing the order, Aria nodded. "Yes."
With that, he escorted the group of people away.
While being escorted away, Forbos wanted to say something, but Aria immediately stuffed his mouth so he couldn't speak.
As Marty looked back at Evelyn again, he asked with concern, "How do you feel now? Is there any injury on your body?"
Hearing that, Evelyn shook her head.
"I'm fine. He didn't hurt me."
Except for the discomfort caused by her hands and feet being tied up for a long time, she was not injured at all.
After knowing she was fine, Marty was relieved and ordered the driver to drive home.
Twenty minutes later, the car stopped at Evelyn's apartment.
On the other hand, Carrie had long received a message saying that Evelyn was found.
So, she rushed over immediately.
When she saw Evelyn, who was being held in Marty's arms, was in good condition, her eyes turned red in an instant.
"Evelyn!"
Immediately, she ran over.
Reaching out her hand, Carrie hugged her tightly.
After all, she hadn't eaten for over a day, and she had been tied up for so long. Although she wasn't injured, she was still weak.
When Carrie bumped into Evelyn, she wobbled, but fortunately, Marty was holding her so she didn't fall down.
Then, she smiled and said, "It's okay. Don't be afraid. I'm back."
But Carrie kept crying, as she hugged her and refused to let go.
"Evelyn, you scared me! I thought... I thought..."
Hearing that, Evelyn chuckled. "Do you think you'll never see me again?"
Instantly, Carrie cried even louder.
Frowning in disdain, Marty held back the urge to just take her away. Instead, he said coldly, "That's enough! Are you done yet?"
Frightened, Carrie shrank and finally let go of Evelyn, as she looked at Marty timidly.
But Evelyn glared at Marty with dissatisfaction.
"Don't be so fierce. You scared her."
With a light snort, Marty couldn't care less as he bent down and carried Evelyn in arms, then walked inside.
As Evelyn's feet were no longer numb, she didn't expect him to suddenly carry her, so she was taken aback.
Subconsciously, she grabbed his shirt and asked in a low voice, "What are you doing?"
Immediately, Marty replied impassively, "Can't you tell? I'm sending you home."
"I can walk on my own."
"Ha! I can see that."
His response left Evelyn speechless.
She could not understand what kind of temper tantrum he was throwing this time, but she let him carried her and didn't say anything further.
With that, he carried her all the way up to her house. Only after they entered the house that Marty finally put her down on the sofa.
Then, he turned to Carrie and ordered. "Help your boss to shower, and make her something to eat. Take good care of her."
Because he was fierce to Carrie earlier, she could feel the imposing manner, so she was afraid to speak.
Therefore, in response, she just nodded.
Then, Marty looked back at Evelyn.
Bending down slightly, he squatted down in front of her.
As he held her hand, he comforted her by saying, "Don't be afraid. I will let Aria and others guard outside. It's safe here. No one can come in except me."
Frowning slightly, she asked subconsciously, "Where are you going?"
Upon hearing the question, Marty's lips curled into a smile.
"Are you worried about me?"
"I... "
Of course, she cared about him. But when she heard him saying it out loud, she didn't want to admit it.
After spluttering for a bit, she said angrily, "Who cares about you? Don't be self-sentimental."
Hearing that, Marty smiled because he knew that she was only being stubborn, so he didn't mind.
In a low and gentle voice, she said, "I'll be going to the police station to help out with the investigation. You should have something to eat and rest for a while. They may come to you tomorrow, but don't be afraid. I'll be with you."
As Evelyn already expected this, she nodded.
Then, Marty added. "The news is blocked from the media and the filming crew, so no one will know about this, and no one will know about Forbos's identity. You don't have to worry."
The man handled everything perfectly, which warmed Evelyn's heart.
Nodding, she said, "Okay."
With that, Marty stood up.
And just as he was about to walk out, Evelyn suddenly thought of something and said, "Wait!"
Hearing that, Marty stopped and looked back at her.
Standing up, she walked to him, and some thought, she said, "There's one thing. I was locked up in a factory in the suburbs by Forbos. That factory is remote, and there are a few people with him. I don't know who they are, but I know they were all killed by Forbos. Now they're all locked up in a basement. You can talk to the police so they can look for them."
Although, those people were not good people.
However, Evelyn felt that she couldn't let them die in such an undeserving way.
Moreover, this matter would be investigated sooner or later. If she told them earlier, they could avoid wasting their efforts.
This time, Forbos's charge was not as simple as kidnapping. He had already gone crazy, and would definitely not be able to escape the punishment of the law.
Obviously, Marty was completely shocked when he heard these words. He hadn't thought it at all.
"How many people?"
Frowned, Evelyn tried to recall carefully. "There are about four or five of them. I don't know the details. If you need me, I can take you there. I remember the way there."
Because when she came back, it was Forbos who forced her to drive the car.
Therefore, she did try to remember the roads.
With a nod, Marty's gaze fell on her and his heart ached a little.
Suddenly, he stretched out his hand, pulling her into his embrace, and gave her a strong hug.
Confused, Evelyn looked up at him in a daze when he let go of her.
However, Marty did not say anything but lowered his head and kissed her on the lips.
Then, he loosened his grip and whispered. "Wait for me to come back."
Upon hearing that, Evelyn nodded.
Marty only left then.
Meanwhile, Aria had arrived with some men and personally took two people to guard outside the door of Evelyn's house. On top of that, there was also a car guarding downstair by the apartment building.
The room was only this big. With such protection, it was absolutely foolproof.
In fact, Forbos had already been locked up, so logically speaking, she should not be in any danger.
However, Marty still arranged everything for her carefully and considerately.
Firstly, it was to prevent Forbos's accomplices from taking revenge on Evelyn after knowing that he had fallen into a trap.
Secondly, it was also to make Evelyn feel at ease. After all, she had just experienced a mishap. Now, she needed someone to protect her outside. Even if there was no real threat, at least it would make her feel safe.
