Chapter 347 She'll Be Fine

Clarissa only felt that her heart stopped beating with the passing of Anne's heartbeat.
Raising her head to look at the surprised and curious faces around her, Clarissa burst into tears.
"What are you guys waiting for? Didn't you see that she was drowning? Hurry up and call the doctor! I'm begging you, hurry up and call the doctor!"
At this time, someone quickly took out his mobile phone to call for the doctor.
Clarissa continued to perform life-saving procedures on Anne. As she was doing it, tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably.
"Sorry, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have let you go to the bathroom alone. I should have kept you company. Anne, I'm sorry."
Clarissa was extremely remorseful. She had never felt this way before in her life. Why did she let her go alone? How could she let down her guard and let Anne to stay in a place she had never been by herself?
She didn't know how Anne fell into the water and why did she wander to a place which was in the opposite direction from hers.
However, no matter what the reason was, it could not cover up the fact that she failed to take good care Anne.
Fortunately, because Old Master Levine was sick, the Levine family had a family doctor on standby.
In fact, someone had already notified the doctors as soon as Anne was rescued.
At this moment, the doctor was rushing his way here.
Along with the doctor, Old Master Levine and Old Master Jordan and others came too.
Anderson was no exception.
When he saw Anne lying there and Clarissa who looked pathetic from head to toe, for a second, he had trouble breathing as his eyes turned cold.
Old Madam Jordan and Old Master Jordan were also scared out of their wits as they hurried forward.
However, they didn't dare to get too close to the doctor so as not to affect his rescue.
"What... What's going on? How could Anne fall into the water? She can't swim. How could she get to the pool?"
On the way here, when Old Madam Jordan and others had already heard about what had happened, she was so scared that her face turned pale. She was in a state of stupefaction.
Clarissa had already been helped up. Her face was also pale. Because she was in a hurry to get into the water to save Anne, she didn't even have time to change her clothes.
Her exquisite evening gown had become crumpled at this time, clinging to her skin along with her hair. She was looking extremely pathetic now.
She shook her head and her body was trembling because of the cold.
"I don't know. When I arrived, Anne was already in the water. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have let her go in alone. I thought... I thought she had no problem entering the bathroom by herself... It was all my fault."
Hot tears rolled down her cold cheeks uncontrollably again, making her whole body tremble even more.
Seeing this, Anderson's expression darkened. He took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders to wrap it around her body.
"Don't be afraid. The doctor has arrived. Anne will be fine."
He comforted Clarissa gently and took her into his arms.
As soon as her ice-cold body met with the warmth of his body, Clarissa felt relieved. Clarissa's original stiff muscles were suddenly eased as she lied feebly in his arms.
Only then did Old Madam Jordan notice that something was wrong with her. She asked with concern, "Clarissa, are you alright?"
Clarissa shook her head.
Maybe it was because of the coldness, or she was being too anxious just now, she felt blood rushing to her head.
At this moment, Clarissa felt dizzy as she was completely drained of energy. If Anderson hadn't held her up, she couldn't even stand up by herself.
At this time, the doctor voiced out next to them.
"The child has coughed out the water and her vital signs are back to normal. It's too cold outside, let's move her into the room."
Hence, everyone began to move the children into the house.
Anderson had been holding Clarissa in his arms the entire time. He could sense that Clarissa was frightened by what happened to Anne just now.
Clarissa could not stop shivering. Her hands were ice-cold as if she had just soaked them in iced water.
He could not help but ask worriedly, "How are you feeling? ?"
Clarissa swallowed a mouthful of saliva and nodded. "I'm fine. Hurry up and help me up. I need to see how Anne is doing."
Anderson knew that if Clarissa wouldn't be at ease until she could make sure that Anne was safe and sound.
Therefore, he helped her to walk into the room together.
Anne woke up very soon.
It was not a big deal originally. Anne had already coughed out the water when she was rescued from the water. The reason why Anne did not wake up immediately was that she was so frightened that she had passed out.
Hence, the doctor used a little bit of technique to wake Anne up.
As soon as Anne woke up, she cried out and reached out her hand to look for Clarissa.
Seeing this, Clarissa quickly pulled away from Anderson and rushed towards Anne. She sat down beside the bed and pulled Anne into her embrace.
"Anne, don't be afraid. Mommy is here."
"Alas... Mommy, I'm so scared. I thought I would never see you again."
Clarissa's heart ached hearing Anne's cries. She resisted the urge to shed tears and comforted Anne, "Anne, don't be afraid. I am here with you. You will be fine."
Anne finally calmed down after being comforted by Clarissa for a long time.
The doctor examined Anne again to make sure she was alright. To play safe, he asked someone to cook some chicken ginger soup to prevent Anne from catching a cold. He then left.
When the doctor left, a group of people started to gather around Anne.
"Anne, what happened just now? How did you end up in the swimming pool?"
Anne tugged at the sleeves of Clarissa's suit jacket. She stared at the adults who were concerned about her blankly before her gaze fell back on Clarissa.
"Mommy, it's my fault. I will never chase the butterfly ever again."
Clarissa was stunned.
She was still feeding Anne the chicken ginger soup, holding the bowl in her hand. Upon hearing this, she stopped what she was doing and put the spoon down. She asked curiously, "What butterfly?"
"It was a beautiful butterfly. When I came out of the bathroom, I saw it flying around there. Out of curiosity, I ran to catch it. But, much to my surprise, it flew further away, all the way to the back door of the bathroom.
Unsatisfied, I went after it as I wanted to catch the beautiful butterfly and give it to you. I didn't expect that when I ran outside, the butterfly would disappear. Before I could react,  I was being pushed into the swimming pool forcefully."
Clarissa's expression changed.
The faces of the other people around suddenly fell.
"What did you say? Did someone push you into the water?"
Old Madam Jordan asked.
Perhaps it was because she was furious, Old Madam Jordan's voice was no longer as gentle as it usually was. It sounded a little more stern.
Anne was shocked as she trembled slightly. She looked at Old Madam Jordan with uneasiness.
"Great grandma, what's wrong? Are you mad at me?"
