Chapter 666 Bumping Into an Old Friend

In fact, for over 20 years abroad, he had indeed made it.
In the past few years, no matter what happened, he would always be calm and composed.
He would accompany her, take care of her, and protect her. He was someone she could always rely on.
However, he was still a human after all.
For the countless challenges encountered, his emotions were not affected at all, however, if it involved what he cared the most about.
His aggression that had been restrained would explode in an instant.
Taking a deep breath, he tried to soften his voice and said, "I'm sorry. I was wrong just now. I shouldn't have lost my temper at you. Sue, let me send you back to your room to get some rest."
With a nod, Sue didn't say anything further. She allowed him to support her as they walked toward the hotel.
When they reached the hotel's lobby, Sue withdrew her hand and said to him softly, "It's alright. I'll go up myself. Clint, you've had a long day. You can go and do your own things."
Since the villa was a place frequented by many wealthy and powerful people, the security wouldn't be too bad.
In addition, in regard to her health, Sue definitely felt better than before, so he didn't have to worry too much.
Hearing this, Clint didn't insist. Hence, he let go of her hand and watched her as she walked inside.
On the other hand, Evelyn and Marty had been out for a long time and felt tired, so they were ready to go back to their room to take a rest.
Both Evelyn and Marty hadn't had lunch yet, but Evelyn was tired and didn't want to eat outside.
Therefore, Marty decided to go back to the room and ordered room service.
To their surprise, as they entered the elevator, they saw someone familiar standing there.
"What a coincidence. We meet again."
Smiled gently at them, Sue moved a little to make way.
While being surprised, after walking in, Evelyn and Marty greeted her with a smile.
"What a coincidence! Are you staying here too?"
In response to the question, Sue nodded.
Meanwhile, the more Marty looked at her, the more he felt that she was the woman in the photo hidden in the book by his father.
Therefore, he could not help but ask, "Are you here for a vacation, or are you living here permanently?"
The Celestial Mountain Resort also provided accommodation. Behind the building was a large land where some people came to meditate.
Of course, these people were very rich. After all, it would cost them a lot to live here for a long time.
With a faint smile, Sue said, "I just returned from overseas. I will only stay here for a few days, and I'll be leaving in a few days."
Upon hearing this, both of them nodded in understanding.
For some reason, Evelyn felt a sense of familiarity toward the woman in front of her.
Maybe it was because she was extremely beautiful, and she didn't feel as distant.
She looked gentle and kind, like a beautiful elder sister.
Therefore, she could not help but ask, "What's your name?"
With a smile, Sue replied, "My surname is Abel, and my first name is Sue."
Hearing that, Evelyn nodded, then said, "Then is it alright if I call you Sue?"
When Sue heard this, she was stunned, as she didn't expect Evelyn to address her like this.
But immediately after that, she nodded happily and asked, "What about you? What's your name?"
Raising her eyebrows in surprise, Evelyn was definitely feeling herself, but she was indeed shocked. "You don't know me?"
Hearing that, Sue was a bit stunned, as she looked at her with a somewhat confused expression, and then glanced at Marty. With an awkward expression, she asked, "Should I... know you?"
At that moment, Evelyn was speechless.
To be honest, if this sentence was said by someone else with a different tone, it would be very provocative.
After all, Evelyn was really famous now. Not to mention the young people in Sapleusia, even the old generation could call out one or two of her character names, even if they didn't know her real name.
Hence, it was impossible that she didn't even recognize her face.
However, Evelyn was naturally not that narcissistic. Rubbing her nose embarrassedly, she then introduced herself. "My surname is Hussain, and my first name is Evelyn. This is my husband, Marty Blaine. We are also here for a vacation."
When she was introducing herself, Evelyn was keenly aware that the expression on Sue's face had not changed much.
But when she introduced Marty, the smile on her face froze, and she seemed to look shocked.
"Your surname is Blaine?"
Seeing that Sue was looking at him and was indeed directing the question at him, Marty nodded politely.
"Yes, that's right."
At that moment, Sue's mind went blank.
Sue continued to look at Marty as she froze at her spot. To be honest, her gaze was slightly offensive.
After all, they were not familiar with each other. It was only the second time they met, and in total, they only met for no more than two hours.
However, to his surprise, he was not offended at all. Moreover, he wasn't sure if it was just his illusion. Even though Sue was looking at him, he felt like she wasn't actually looking at him.
Her gaze fell on his face, but it seemed to have penetrated through his face and seen something else.
Obviously, Evelyn also noticed that. She raised her head and exchanged a glance with Marty. They were both at a loss and saw confusion in each other's eyes.
Hence, Evelyn broke the silence. "Sue, are you okay?"
In an sinstant, Sue snapped back to reality.
Realizing that she was lost in thought, she quickly smiled and replied gently. "I'm so sorry for my manners."
Hearing that, Evelyn smiled kindly. "It's alright. Just now, you were..."
After a pause, Sue replied with a soft voice, "Nothing much, I just thought that he looks quite familiar, which reminds me of a friend of mine."
As she spoke, there was a trace of nostalgia on her expression.
With an indifferent look on Marty's face, he blurted the question he had been wanting to ask.
"Is the friend you're talking about called Buckly Blaine?"
When she heard the name, Sue trembled violently.
It was obvious that what Marty said was exactly what she was thinking.
While she looked slightly emotional, with her good upbringing, she managed to restrain herself.
The only thing that was obvious was the pair of clear eyes that were beaming with light.
"Do you know him?"
Marty nodded.
With a deep voice, he replied. "He is my father."
When Sue heard that, she trembled again.
At that moment, her delicate and beautiful face immediately turned pale at a speed that was visible to the naked eye, as if she had heard something shocking.
However, it only lasted for a moment, and soon, she regained her composure.
When she smiled again, it was obvious that she was no longer as relaxed and gentle as before. It seemed slightly pretentious.
With her head slightly lowered, it was as if she was talking to them, but at the same time, she seemed to be talking to herself.
She whispered. "I should have thought of it a long time ago. Yes, they should have gotten married. It's been more than 20 years, and they should have children already."
