Chapter 1021 Reluctant To Part
It was obvious that they were dissatisfied with Sherry.
Regardless, it was still a good thing that she had been saved.
Anderson and the rest didn't want to stay any longer. Therefore, they left with Jade of Heaven after thanking Mr. Ramsey.
When they returned to Ethanbez's house after the disturbance, it was nearly twelve o'clock past midnight.
Emmeline and Jara didn't want to go over, but they had come for the birthday banquet today.
Thus, it was impolite if they left before the banquet ended.
They had to go over as a courtesy no matter what.
Therefore, they went with the rest to Ethanbez's house.
At this time, Elicia had not yet fallen asleep.
She would have gone to bed a long time ago if it had been any other time.
On the one hand, there were too many guests today. Even though Bowen entertained many of them, she still had to greet them personally.
Secondly, she knew that Jameson and the others had not yet returned. She was also anxious because she had no idea why they had gone out.
In the end, she decided to wait in the living room.
At first, Matteo didn't think much of it, but she felt a little ashamed when she saw Elicia's concern.
With that, she dialed Anderson's number to inquire about his whereabouts. It was inconvenient for Anderson to reveal too much, so he only said that they went out to settle some affairs.
Upon hearing this, Matteo scolded him.
It had been long since Matteo scolded Anderson, so he wasn't offended. On the phone, he chuckled and said they'd return shortly. Then, he put the phone down.
As they walked into the living room, they found that the lights were still brightly lit. Their grandparents sat waiting for them while the servants stood on the side. The scene appeared to be that of a joint trial.
All of a sudden, they couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Jameson, Lauren, Anderson, and Clarissa walked over first.
First, they greeted the elders and then explained why they went out tonight.
Of course, they'd never tell anyone about Jade of Heaven.
They only mentioned that Benson's girlfriend had been kidnapped. That was why they went over to assist him in dealing with the situation.
Because of Mrs. Ramsey's relationship with the Ethanbezs, Benson was somehow related to them. As a result, Elicia was familiar with him.
The elders couldn't help but be astonished after hearing what they said.
"How could such a thing happen? Are they fine now?"
Jameson responded lightly, "Everything is fine now. She has returned home."
"That's good." Elicia's rage rose steadily as she comprehended what had happened. With anger, she exclaimed, "How dare they assault us on our territory. Jameson, you need to look into this and not allow those folks off so easily."
Jameson nodded.
Seeing this, Bowen came out and remarked, "Mom, it's getting late, and you're all exhausted. Why don't you all return to your rooms to rest?"
Anderson added, "Grandma, I'll send you and grandpa back to your rooms."
The old ladies nodded. As such, the trial ended here.
When Emmeline and Jara noticed this, they wished Elicia a happy birthday once more before leaving.
The next day, they were returning to Blink City.
Anderson recalled the news he had received earlier and went to look for them with Clarissa. He'd then inform them of the situation.
It was not Anderson's domain in Trikstin. He just dispatched his men to obtain information. As a result, he didn't go with them because he couldn't offer much help in this case.
Jara and Emmeline immediately changed their trip to Trikstin once Anderson gave them his informant's contact information.
Matteo, on the other hand, wished to spend a few more days with Elicia. After all, it was rare for them to meet up. Nobody knew when they'd see each other again.
Therefore, they were reluctant to part.
Anderson's grandpa was in good health. Anyway, they were also accompanied by doctors, and the Ethanbezs had an excellent medical team.
Noticing this, Anderson didn't refuse. He told them to enjoy themselves while he and Clarissa would head to the desert to find Sierra and Robert.
Of course, they had to bring Anne and Marf along.
Clarissa, on the other hand, was eager for Sierra to meet her two grandchildren.
The two of them then departed on the same day. Also, Sierra had sent her the address earlier.
Clarissa had contacted Sierra beforehand. Knowing that she was coming, Sierra was overjoyed.
She used to despise socializing and refused to see her grandchildren. However, it was likely that after the previous time they got along, she wasn't so indifferent now.
Although she still had some reservations in her heart, they were more of apprehension than hatred.
Clarissa's flight was expected to arrive at four o'clock in the afternoon.
This was a city called Yonio.
Since it was located in the desert and only had a small oasis, there were not many people here. Most of the residents here were dark-skinned foreigners.
The car that was sent to pick up Clarissa and the rest had arrived upon their arrival.
As soon as the man spotted them, he greeted them fluently in English.
Clarissa and Anderson, along with their two children, walked over.
With a smile, the other party introduced himself. "Hello, my name is Ameer. My boss has requested that I pick you all up. Come follow me in the car."
His attire and skin color piqued Anne's and Marf's interest.
They had seen a lot since young, but they were still children, and this was their first visit to such a place.
Whether it was the local customs or the locals' appearance, they were all very different from domestic.
As if they had just landed on a new continent, they were enthralled by everything they saw.
Ammer was a very talkative person, even when he didn't know what kind of relationship they had with Robert and Sierra.
However, that did not stop him from being enthusiastic.
Along the way, he was delighted to share some of the local customs and practices, as well as some of the places they passed through.
The desert was covered in yellow sand. Even though it was November and Ascijan was nearing winter, the sun was still shining brightly here. The weather was burning hot!
Clarissa was worried the kids would suffer from heatstroke, so she had ice water ready for them.
But they were obviously much stronger than she had imagined. Not only were they not afraid of the heat, but they also kept leaning against the car window, eager to see what was going on outside.
Seeing this, Clarissa didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Anderson returned Anne with difficulty and said, "I'll take you out tomorrow to explore if you want. You didn't apply sunblock yet, so you're can get a sunburn."
Anne had grown up and placed a high value on her appearance.
As a result, she couldn't help but stick out her tongue and swiftly retracted her head afterward.
The car then continued to drive slowly along the road.
