Chapter 103 Lie To Him
"Wait!"
Clarissa stopped.
She looked back at him.
"Do you have something else to say?"
Mark hesitated and then said, "Recently, there is an infighting in Lost Vanguard. Many people are looking for you secretly. Be careful!"
Clarissa was stunned.
After a moment, she smiled.
"I see. Thanks a lot."
Mark also smiled.
"As the only two old friends who know each other offline, I just remind you casually. You are welcome."
Clarissa nodded. She didn't say anything and turned around to leave.
Inside the Rolls-Royce.
Looking at the two people who parted from each other at the cafe door not far away, David was slightly surprised.
He turned to glance at Anderson's expression and asked cautiously, "Mr. Jordan, do you still want to go there?"
Anderson frowned as he watched Clarissa's petite figure walking away under the setting sun.
After a moment, he said, "No."
After speaking, he closed the car door again and asked David to drive away.
Due to the place Clarissa stood, she did not see the Rolls Royce parked on the other side.
After she got in the car, she received a phone call from Anderson.
His voice was cold and a little hoarse as he asked, "Where are you?"
Clarissa raised her eyebrows, looked around at the traffic and people around her, and then said blandly, "In the company. What's wrong?"
Anderson was paused for a moment.
For no reason, Clarissa was a little uneasy. She looked around carefully again. After confirming that there was no familiar faces or cars around her, she was slightly relieved.
Then she asked, "Are you off work?"
"Not yet."
"Well... continue to work. See you in the evening."
"Okay, see you in the evening."
After hanging up the phone, Clarissa let out a sigh of relief.
Looking at the black screen, she suddenly laughed at herself.
Why did she have a guilty conscience?
Anderson was not her real husband.
Although she had had sex with him twice and got the marriage certificates with him, so what?
Didn't he also hide something from her? Why should she be wholehearted and honest to him?
Clarissa tried to persuade herself, and it took a long time for her to suppress the feeling of anxiety and guilty conscience in heart.
At the same time, after hanging up the phone, Anderson thought of the figure he had seen at the entrance of the cafe and the lie she had told on the phone, and his eyes turned slightly cold.
He sneered and ordered David.
"Investigate who was that man just now."
Needless to say, David knew whom he was referring to.
He agreed in a hurry.
In the evening, when Clarissa got home, Anderson was already at home.
After she entered the house, Pattie greeted her and said with a smile, "Mrs. Jordan, you're back. The dinner is ready, and Mr. Jordan is waiting for you in the dinning room!"
Clarissa nodded and walked to the dinning room.
In the dining room, Anderson wore a white shirt and sat in great state.
His handsome face looked serious, and even his eyes looked cold and stern.
Seeing her come in, he only raised his head slightly and said nothing.
Clarissa was keenly aware that there was something wrong with the atmosphere that day. She glanced at Pattie. Pattie stood behind Anderson and winked at her.
Her eyes meant that Anderson was in a bad mood, and they worked very cautiously and nervously.
Clarissa understood what she meant. After sitting down, she asked with a smile, "Are you very busy these days? Are you tired?"
Anderson did not answer her.
His face was straight. Actually, even if Pattie didn't remind her, she could know that he was in a bad mood.
However, she knew that even if he was in a bad mood, most of the time, he was calm and self-restraint. He never showed his emotions on his face, let alone vent his anger on the servant.
She was surprised to see that he looked so angry that day...
Clarissa thought for a while and soon understood.
She smiled silently and asked, "Are you unhappy? Did something had happen in the company?"
Anderson finally looked up at her.
But his eyes made Clarissa slightly shocked.
His eyes were too shrewd, as if he could see what was on her mind through her eyes.
Clarissa felt a little uneasy and looked away slightly. Then she heard him ask, "Where did you go this afternoon?"
Clarissa's heart skipped a beat.
She forced herself to calm down, looked at him, and said in a deep voice, "Why do you ask this?"
"Mark, a well-known private detective, has excellent skills and a wide range of contacts, especially in Visstead. Why did you meet him?"
Clarissa's body froze.
She looked at him in disbelief, and the details of her meeting with Mark flashed through her mind quickly. She couldn't find anything wrong, and she frowned.
"You sent Nora to keep watch on me?"
Anderson sneered.
"You can ask Nora if I sent her to keep watch on you."
Clarissa was speechless.
She then remembered that she had deliberately distracted Nora when she went to meet Mark this afternoon.
Nora might know that she went to the cafe, but she probably didn't know whom she had met.
Thinking about this, Clarissa looked at Anderson again with curious eyes.
"So, are you questioning me now?"
"As your husband, shouldn't I question you since I have been deceived by you?"
Clarissa sneered.
"If you think couples should be straight with each other without privacy, you should behave yourself well first!"
After she finished speaking, she had no appetite anymore, so she put down the chopsticks and wanted to leave, but Anderson stopped her.
"Stop!"
Clarissa paused and looked at him with a frown.
"What do you mean? Tell me!"
Clarissa sneered.
The grievances and anger that she had suppressed for a whole day erupted in an instant, "Don't you know what I mean? About your relationship with your fiancee and your child, should I know about all these as your wife according to your point of view?"
The dinning room became silent in an instant.
No one spoke, and it was so quiet that almost the sound of a needle dropping on the ground could be heard.
The servants opened their eyes wide. They were shocked and couldn't believe what they had heard!
It seemed that at that moment, even their breathing had stopped. They admired Clarissa's courage in their hearts!
They had never seen anyone who dared to be so angry with Anderson like this. Clarissa was the first one!
Would... Anderson be angry?
They turned to look at Anderson, only to see that his handsome face was gloomy and cold, and he looked completely apathetic.
Oh!
They realized that Anderson had got angry, and they didn't know what to do!
Before they could react, Anderson said coldly, "You all go out!"
Everyone looked at each other, and all of them left after a few seconds.
Clarissa stood there and looked at him with cold eyes.
There was a trace of regret in her heart.
She had told herself that she shouldn't care about this, but why was she so angry just now?
She was so mad that she couldn't control herself and asked him directly!
If what she had heard was true, what should she do?
Thinking of this, she felt so embarrassed!
