Chapter 781 I Have Something to Talk to You

After Isaac and Kayla had a big fight, they left the castle.
Whilst Kayla was being angry, she felt wronged and annoyed at the same time. After returning to Tower B from the main building, she locked herself up in her room and never went back.
On the other hand, Jara returned to his room and took a bath before continuing with his work.
Time went on and it was already time for dinner.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, Jara glanced at the time on his wristwatch and realized it was already six o'clock in the evening.
Then, he rang the bell and called for Uncle Poick.
"Uncle Poick, is she back?"
Obviously, Uncle Poick knew who he was referring to was.
Slightly lowering his head, he replied softly, "Not yet."
She hadn't come back yet?
Upon receiving the news, Jara furrowed as an annoyance rose in him.
He waved his hand, signaling Uncle Poick to excuse himself while he walked to the window and looked at lights coming alive in the evening outside as his brows were knitted tightly together.
Where did she go?
The two of them had reached an agreement that he would not do anything to her for the time being and would let her stay in the castle. In return, she would unlock the secret of the map for him.
It was indeed just a partnership, and he had no reason nor was he qualified to care about her whereabouts.
However, deep down, there a voice that was screaming to him, urging him to find her and to make sure she stayed within his sight so she could never leave again!
Raising his head slightly, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
In the end, he did not call her. Instead, he turned around and walked out.
In the meantime, on the other end.
Emmeline held a glass of red wine in a bar and sat on a high chair next to the counter. She was casually looking at the group of people on the dance floor in front of her.
At the time, It was still early, so only about six or seven o'clock in the evening. Outside, the evening lights were just turned on and the nightlife had not even begun. There were only some customers and the rest were all employees of the bar.
Meanwhile, Keira brought over a cup of cocktail and placed it on the bar counter next to her. Similarly, she propped herself up on the bar counter with one hand and sat down on the high chair.
With a smile, she said to her, "Emmeline, did you miss me? Why are you here?"
Hearing that, Emmeline glanced at her faintly and smiled. "Nothing. I just happened to pass by. I remembered that you are still working here, so I came over to have a look."
With a nod, Keira continued to ask, "Where are you working now? How are you doing?"
But Emmeline automatically ignored her first question and only answered the latter. "I'm good"
Her tone was calm. She picked up the glass and took a sip, but her eyes were still fixed on the dance floor.
At that moment, there were several young guests dancing along with the music. Although there were not many guests, it did not stop them from having fun.
Suddenly, she thought of something and turned to ask Keira, "When will you resign?"
In response, Keira smiled and said, "I've already sent in the resignation letter, but they wanted me to work for another two weeks. When they find someone who can replace me, I can leave."
Hearing that, Emmeline frowned subconsciously.
"Two more weeks?"
But Keira waved her hand casually. "After all, they were good to me the whole time I am here, especially my supervisor, and we're now friends too. I can't just leave as I please. I don't want to make things difficult for them."
After thinking for a moment, Emmeline nodded.
"Okay, you make your own decisions. Take care of yourself."
Upon hearing that, Keira nodded.
They chatted for a while. Emmeline acted as if she really did happen to pass by coincidentally, and came to check on Keira. As such, Keira didn't seem to suspect anything either.
Just when they were in the middle of a chat, the phone suddenly rang.
After glancing around, Keira said, "Emmeline, it's your phone."
So Emmeline took her cell phone out of her pocket. The cell phone was still the same one that Keira gave her. Although Uncle Poick had prepared a new cell phone and phone card for her, and they were placed in her room, she didn't use it.
Unless necessary, she didn't want to owe Jara any favors.
Even if it was just an insignificant phone.
After looking at the phone number on the screen, Emmeline frowned slightly, then pressed the silent mode and put it back in her pocket.
Seeing this, Keira asked curiously, "Who's calling? Why don't you answer it?"
Emmeline smiled slightly. "It's just advertisement. I don't want to deal with it."
"Oh, I see."
Again, Keira did not suspect anything as she picked up the glass of cocktail she made herself and clinked Emmeline's glass. She smiled and said, "Emmeline, now that you're released and found a new job. Congratulations! I hope that our days in the future will be better!"
As an innocent young lady, the smile on her face very simple and pure.
Emmeline too was affected by her smile. So she picked up the glass and clinked it with hers, then finished it in a gulp.
After she finished the drink, she raised her wrist to look at the time and said, "It's getting late, I have to go."
"Now? Did you drive?"
"No, I'm not. I'm taking a cab."
Jumping off the high chair, she patted Keira on the shoulder and said, "You don't have to send me off. Just take care of yourself. I'll come back to see you when I'm free."
Upon hearing this, Keira did not send her off. With a nod, she smiled and said, "I will."
Then, Emmeline waved goodbye and walked out of the bar.
By then, it was completely dark outside.
Dark clouds were overhanging in the sky, which added a touch of gloominess to the dark night. It seemed to press against her heart, making her feel somewhat out of breath.
At that moment, the phone was ringing again, so Emmeline took it out from her pocket. But when she at the caller ID on the screen, she couldn't help but frown.
It was Jara.
Why did he keep calling her at this time?
During her time in the castle, it was not as if she hadn't come out alone, nor had she seen him looking for her anyway.
Could it be that something happened?
After Emmeline hesitated for a moment, she looked at the time, and it was only half-past seven. There was still half an hour before her appointment with Caden. She had time to answer the phone.
So, she wrapped herself in her coat tightly and answered the phone while walking out.
"Hello."
"Where are you?"
On the opposite end was Jara's calm and indifferent voice. When he asked this question, Emmeline could almost imagine his calm and impassive expression on his face.
Then, she answered perfunctorily, "I'm outside, handling some matters."
"What's the matter?"
Hearing that, Emmeline raised his eyebrows.
She couldn't help but answered him sarcastically. "Mr. Holland, are you checking on me?"
The other end of the receiver was silent for a while.
It was difficult to tell his emotion. His voice was still as calm as usual, but it was a little deeper.
"Come back. I have something to talk to you."
Hearing that, Emmeline was stunned.
Then, the phone was cut off.
Looking at the screen on the phone that had been hung up, she was silent for a few seconds before she curled her lips sarcastically.
It was eight o'clock at night.
Near a hidden factory, a black SUV steadily drove into an open space and stopped under a big tree.
The door opened and the first person to step out of the car was a tall and thin man, following behind was a woman who was also tall and thin, but slightly more agile.
