Chapter 139 We're Really Fated

After that, she didn't want to stay at the door all the time because they couldn't find the old lady so soon.
So she took Anne to the backstage lounge.
It happened to be the intermission. Antonio walked out of the stage. After changing his clothes, he still had several minutes left, so he took a bottle of water to drink.
Seeing that Clarissa came in with a little girl in her arms, and the girl even called her mommy, he was so shocked.
"Well... Clarissa, don't tell me that this is your child. I only heard that you have got married, but when did you give birth to this child?"
Clarissa glared at him, "You'd better shut up."
"Hey, where did you get this little girl?"
Clarissa put Anne on a chair and then sent someone to buy children's favorite drink. Then she explained, "This girl is very fated with me, and I've met her twice. Every time I met her, she got lost. Since I met her, I can't let her stay outside alone, right? I've sent someone to find her great grandma, so I took her here to rest for a while."
Antonio finally understood.
Then he asked curiously, "But why does she call you mommy?"
Hearing this, Clarissa also felt a little helpless.
She didn't know why Anne called her mommy when she first saw her, and she still called her like this when they met again!
She squatted down helplessly, and looked into Anne's eyes seriously.
"Anne, could you change your address when you call me in the future?"
Anne blinked her big and watery eyes, asking curiously, "Why?"
"Because I am not your mummy. If you call me like this, your real mummy will be sad! You don't want to make mommy sad, do you?"
Anne puckered her small mouth.
"But I don't have a real mommy!"
Clarissa was stunned.
Beside her, Antonio was also stunned.
They didn't except that such a cute little girl actually had no mother.
Clarissa only felt so painful in heart, as if a certain part in her heart was severely pinched by a hand.
She quickly hugged Anne who was about to cry, and patted her back lightly to comfort her, "Anne, good girl, don't cry. I'm so sorry. From now on, you can call me whatever you want. It doesn't matter."
Anne choked lightly, and then wiped the non-existent tears with her chubby little hand and looked at Clarissa with grievances.
"Then I won't call your mommy anymore. Can I call your auntie?"
Clarissa nodded quickly.
"Yes, of course."
Antonio said with a smile, "This girl is so cute. In fact, if I don't know your relationship, I would really think that she's your daughter because she looks like you. How about keeping her as your goddaughter? Anyway, she likes you so much."
Clarissa turned around and glared at him.
"Don't talk nonsense!"
Although she also liked Anne very much, she was not familiar with her families. Keeping Anne as her goddaughter should get the approval from Anne's own parents.
Antonio smiled without saying anything. Then he bent over to tease Anne.
"Baby, do you know who I am?"
Anne tilted her head, looked at Antonio, and blinked.
"I saw you before. You are Brother Antonio."
Antonio suddenly laughed.
"Well, yes, I'm Brother Antonio. Tut, baby, your words are so sweet."
Then he hit Clarissa with his arm, "Did you hear that? She called you auntie but called me brother. Tut, Clarissa, you have returned home for two years, and it's time for you to pay attention to the condition of your skin. You can't let others think you're old all the time!"
Clarissa pinched his waist hard.
"Antonio, how dare you?"
Antonio yelled and ran away, and then he laughed and said, "Don't be angry. I was just kidding. You are very beautiful, and no one can compare to you in my heart!"
Clarissa gritted her teeth, "Don't be so proud! After all, I don't have such an old nephew like you!"
Hearing this, Antonio was stunned.
He didn't realize what Clarissa meant until the makeup artist next to him burst into laughter.
Anne called Clarissa auntie and called him brother. In other words, Clarissa was his elder, and there was nothing wrong with Clarissa calling him nephew!
Realizing this, Antonio's face darkened immediately.
"Anne, when you see me, you should call me Uncle Antonio. Understand?"
Anne said with a smile, "Brother Antonio, you're an idol, and idols are most afraid of getting old. If I call your uncle, doesn't it mean you are old? So I can't call you like that."
Antonio was speechless.
He felt so helpless.
It seemed that Anne knew lots of reasons!
Finally, he couldn't say anything else. He could only clench his fists without confidence, grit his teeth and say, "I am not an idol! I am of capability style! Can you see it? My capability!"
At this time, his assistant came to urge him.
"Antonio, time's up. The fans are urging you outside. Hurry up and go to the stage!"
Antonio snorted heavily before he walked out with arrogant steps.
About half an hour later, the receptionist called her, saying that an old lady was asking them to help find a child. They asked her and thought that she should be Anne's great grandmother.
Therefore, Clarissa came to the front desk with Anne in her arms, and she saw the gray-haired old lady whom she had seen last time standing there with an anxious expression.
The old lady should be in her 60s or 70s, but she was well maintained and looked pretty healthy.
Facing such an old lady, Clarissa couldn't bear to blame her. After all, she could only blame Anne's father for being so irresponsible to let Anne go out with the old lady. It was not all the old lady's fault.
As soon as she put Anne on the ground, Anne enthusiastically ran towards the old lady.
"Great-grandma!"
"Anne."
The old lady hugged Anne happily, and then straightened up and looked at Clarissa with a smiling face.
"Girl, you helped me find Anne again. It seems that we are really fated!"
Clarissa smiled reluctantly, "It's no bother."
"Hey, it's no bother to you, but you really helped me a lot! I can't do anything else to thank you. Are you free later? How about me treating you to a meal?"
Clarissa subconsciously refused her, "No, I have something to do this afternoon..."
"Auntie Clarissa, just eat with us. I want to eat with you..."
Before she finished speaking, Anne stopped her.
She took Clarissa's hand, gently shook it and looked up at her with a pair of big black eyes. She looked so pitiful that Clarissa couldn't bear to refuse her.
