Chapter 735 To Town

Clarissa nodded.
As a result, the two of them walked towards the car together.
Nora had already received Clarissa's signal, and she knew she would find a way to deal with that man. Later, all Nora had to do was wait for Clarissa to return, and then they could deal with the other man together.
After waiting for a long time, Clarissa finally came back.
But she wasn't alone; there was another man with her.
Nora was taken aback and astonished. For a moment, she believed she had misinterpreted Clarissa's hints.
But she didn't know what to do in this situation.
Should she keep fighting? Or should she wait?
Did anything happen during the process?
Nora sat there with a dumbfounded look on her face.
Clarissa was helpless, and she secretly gave Nora a sidelong glance. Immediately, Nora understood, so she remained silent.
Then, Clarissa got into the car. When the other man saw them return, he greeted Jara enthusiastically.
However, Jara was able to respond to him eloquently in the spoken dialect. When Clarissa had no idea he was Jara before, she didn't feel anything.
However, she now felt uncomfortable upon hearing that.
She felt weird all over.
When Nora observed Clarissa's helpless gaze, her heart began to race like an ant on a hot pan.
After all, it was not easy for them to conceive of a way out at this point.
If they didn't flee now, they would be stuck when they got to the city. What else could they do until then?
So, after closing the car door, Nora couldn't help but question Clarissa in hushed tones, "What's the matter, Clarissa? Did you not get rid of him?"
Helplessly, Clarissa sighed.
It was inconvenient to explain to Nora that Jara was one of the men now, in case she was discovered by another man in front of her.
In fact, she knew it would only take a few minutes for the three of them to subdue the man.
However, since Jara had disguised himself, he must have had other plans. She didn't want to expose his identity either.
Hence, she said nothing and only shook her head softly while writing a few words in Nora's hand.
"Be patient. The situation has changed."
Nora was stunned. She didn't quite understand what Clarissa meant.
Clarissa couldn't say much, so she simply nodded to Nora, signaling that they were safe now and that she didn't need to be concerned about their safety.
Nora frowned.
Although she still didn't understand, she could only trust Clarissa since she had already stated that they were no longer in danger.
With these thoughts in mind, Nora did not continue her questioning.
After half an hour of wobbling in the car, they finally arrived in town.
Clarissa noticed that the road was no longer bumpy as soon as they got in town.
It was 6:30 in the morning, and people were selling breakfast on the street.
Besides, noises from the morning market could be heard from everywhere, making for a lively scene.
It was the first time that Clarissa had heard such a lively voice since she had been here. Her heart, which seemed to be frozen for a long time, finally came to life at this moment.
Previously, the scenery was indeed beautiful in the deserted mountain, but after a long stay, Clarissa became distressed.
She felt as if she had resurrected now that she was out.
Clarissa wanted to check out what was going on outside, but the car's doors were all shut. So, she couldn't see anything because there was only a tiny space for breath.
Soon, the man's voice came from the front.
"Let's go home for breakfast later, and we'll arrange them in the room on the left. Then, at night, each of us gets one girl."
Clarissa and Nora naturally understood these words because they were spoken in English.
Both of them were somewhat speechless.
The fact that Jara responded left them flabbergasted.
"Sure, then I want the one who speaks less."
The other man heard Jara's reply and instantly burst out laughing. "Really? Then I'll go with the talkative one."
Clarissa was rendered speechless.
Nora, too, had nothing to say.
Clarissa could almost imagine Jara's vile smile as he responded.
She was so mad! However, she had to fake a smile.
Nora became anxious as she had no idea what was going on. However, when she saw how calm Clarissa appeared, she realized that things were not going as expected.
This town was small in size, but it had a sizable population that was well-distributed.
Along the way, Clarissa heard the man greeting the passers-by as if they were old friends.
The car drove for nearly thirty minutes before coming to a halt.
The man at the front of the car jumped out and opened the door behind.
Then, she saw the man's bright smile.
"Here we are. Come down."
Clarissa and Nora exchanged glances before leaving the car.
Nora's legs were inconvenient, so he had to walk with the help of his crutch. Therefore, Clarissa supported her all the way.
The man offered to assist her multiple times, but Nora and Clarissa secretly avoided him.
He had probably never interacted with a girl before, so he was clumsy.
In fact, he didn't recognize their deliberate avoidance, and instead assumed he lacked experience. He smiled all the way, looking a little silly and cute.
Well, he wasn't quite the cruel human trafficker that Clarissa had envisioned.
Later, they stepped out of the car to find a typical rural house in front of them.
The house had two floors, each with three rooms. It was of decent size and well-packed.
The four of them entered the house together. Then, Clarissa and Nora were assigned to the same room. After that, Jara summoned the man.
Thus, only Nora and Clarissa were left in the room.
Nora had endured along the way. At this point, the two of them were finally left alone. So she asked right away.
"Clarissa, what's going on? Why didn't you carry it out as planned? We're now in their place. What should we do?"
Clarissa burst out laughing when she saw Nora's anxious expression.
"Don't worry," she said, shaking her head, "we met an old friend."
"What do you mean?"
Nora still did not know that one of the men was Jara.
Seeing this, Clarissa told her the truth.
Nora's eyes widened in shock when she heard this.
Never would she have imagined that things would turn out this way.
Clarissa let out a sigh. "We're now safe for the time being. I'll let Jara contact Anderson later while you rest here. We should be safe as long as we can reach Anderson."
Nora nodded his head rapidly.
About half an hour later, Jara and the man returned.
They not only returned, but they also brought a full bag of breakfast with them.
They were all snacks sold on the town's street.
