Chapter 150 She Is Not Suitable

After Freddie entered the office, he walked directly to the shabby sofa opposite Alvin's desk and sat down.
Alvin sat behind the desk and glanced at him without speaking.
He seemed to be writing something, and he kept typing on the keyboard.
Freddie didn't bother him. He sat there with his legs crossed, lit a cigarette for himself and waited for him quietly.
After he waited for about half an hour, Alvin stopped, stood up and poured a glass of water.
"Why did you come here? Tell me!"
Hearing his unceremonious tone, Freddie was annoyed and said angrily, "Can't I come here if I have nothing to do?"
Alvin sneered, "You wouldn't come to me if you have nothing to do."
Freddie was speechless.
They were classmates in college, and they had been good friends since then.
Both of them were talented people, and they appreciated each other.
Compared with Alvin, Freddie was more diplomatic, so he had been famous since he became a director. Later, several of his films were so hot and he became one of the most famous directors.
But Alvin was different. He had chances to become famous in his early years, but he was too hard-tempered and offended a well-known bigwig, so he was banned from the directing circle.
Although Freddie had been helping him these years, he didn't get a good opportunity.
Freddie knew Alvin's temperament, so he wasn't really angry.
He threw the documents on the desk and said in a deep voice, "This is the necessary information that the investors asked us to write in the play. You can take a look."
Alvin raised his head and took a look. He didn't even read it and just said coldly, "Okay." Then he didn't speak anymore.
Seeing this, Freddie got somewhat annoyed.
"Alvin, do I owe you anything? I sent the documents to you in person, but you don't treat it seriously at all. This is the request of the investors. Can you treat it more sincerely? Al least, you should be enthusiastic! Do you know how hard it is to get investment for your d*mn script?"
Being scolded by him, Alvin was not angry.
Instead, he picked up the documents and had a look casually.
Then he threw them aside as if he had finished a task.
"I know. I will do it."
Freddie was speechless.
He rolled his eyes at Alvin, "Alright, I don't think you can change your bad temper, and I don't expect you to do anything else. About the leading role, Lauren refused to play it, but it's normal that she did so. If she agreed, it would be abnormal. Now I give you two choices. Do you want to keep waiting or choose Lara?"
Alvin paused slightly, and his lazy eyelids moved slightly. Then he said firmly.
"Keep waiting!"
Freddie was so angry that he almost wanted to throw the ashtray at him!
"Wait? Can you afford to wait? What if the investors withdraw their money? Where can you find an investor again?"
Alvin did not speak.
Freddie felt really helpless.
As Alvin's friend, he was really worried about him!
Why should he stay here and persuade Alvin who was so stubborn?
Finally, he sighed and persuaded Alvin earnestly, "Alvin, the market is very cruel. Now you have finally polished a script, you don't want to waste it, do you?"
"This subject is quite popular nowadays, and but no one will like it after two years. What will you do then? Think about your dreams! Are you really willing to live such a life forever? Is it really so difficult for you to give up something?"
After he said this, there were finally some changes on Alvin's expressionless and bitter face.
He raised his head and looked into Freddie's eyes. After a while, he opened his thin lips which were under his messy beard, and said.
"I can change an actress, but she can't be Lara."
Freddie spread his hands with puzzlement, "Why?"
"She is not suitable."
"Then who is suitable?"
"I do not know."
"You!"
Freddie was so angry that he almost jumped from the sofa. He held his forehead and shook his head.
"Forget it. If you insist, do as you want. I'll see what you can do if those investors withdraw their money!"
After speaking, he took his coat and was about to leave in a hurry.
Unexpectedly, before he walked out, Alvin's tough voice came from behind.
"Lend me your computer."
Freddie turned around and scolded him with fury, "No! Don't you have your own computer? Why do you want to use mine?"
"Mine is broken."
Saying this, he turned the monitor on the table and showed him the screen.
The old and broken screen was black, and there was a long list of codes on it.
Only then did Freddie know that he might not be typing just now, but writing codes.
He was so mad that he didn't know what to say.
He pointed at Alvin and said with a very disappointed face.
"I really don't know how to persuade you now! If you are willing to lower your standard, how could you have no film until now? If you are willing to change your stubborn temper, how can you be unable to afford a computer? D*mn... Can't you change yourself?"
Alvin smiled and didn't take his words to heart.
On the contrary, he stretched his body and said blandly, "Remember to let someone bring your computer here. I need to use it before four o'clock."
After finishing speaking, he actually left in an arrogant way.
Freddie had an urge to rush over and throw him out of the window!
But at four o'clock in the afternoon, a brand new computer was delivered to Alvin's office on time.
Freddie said viciously on the phone, "Alvin, I bought the computer not long ago. I specially asked someone to configure it and it's very expensive! Be careful when you use it! If it is broken or you delete something by accident, I will burn all your favorite orchids!"
Alvin just smiled, and didn't reply to him. He started working after getting the computer.
At first, he imported the videos from mobile disk to the new computer. He saw a folder by accident and found that there was a video inside.
It took some time to import the videos. He felt boring while waiting, so he simply clicked it open.
Unexpectedly, as soon as the video was played, he was blown away.
It was a video of a performance on stage.
Looking at the scene and the machine next to the stage, he knew that it should be an audition.
In the video, a woman wearing black armor and red hat stood there. With a long spear in her hand, she looked imposing and domineering. Her eyebrows were sharp and her eyes were full of apathy. She didn't do anything, but she was spirited and heroic in bearing.
On the high platform, a woman in a palace costume laughed and said in a trembling voice, "You are finally here!"
She lifted her chin slightly, and her eyes were valiant and brave. She raised her spear and said loudly.
"Yes, here I am!"
