Chapter 463 It's Too Late For Regrets

"It's getting late. We should go."
Harrison also stood up and suggested, "Since we are all here today, why don't we have a meal together?"
Clarissa refused coldly, "No need, we still have something on."
Then, she took the lead and walked out of the room.
Her attitude was obviously a little repulsive. Harrison touched his nose, feeling a little disappointed.
Anderson glanced at him and did not say anything. They had known each other for quite a long time, therefore, they could reach a tacit understanding at a glance.
Harrison smiled and said, "I would have to trouble you to help me to persuade her. Clarissa hates me, but she will listen to you."
Anderson pondered for a moment and said, "I will do my best, but I will also respect her decision. No matter what her final decision is, I will not interfere with it."
He was effectively turning down Harrison's request without expressly saying so.
Harrison had no choice but to nod his head and say, "Okay, I understand."
The group of people left Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Jameson looked at the time and said, "It's getting late. You probably have nothing to do if you go back now. Maybe you can come to my house and we can have dinner together."
Clarissa was about to nod, but at this moment, her phone rang.
She picked up the phone and looked at it. Frowning slightly, she pressed the call button to pick it up.
It was a call from Gimmy, and he sounded a little anxious. "Clarissa, are you still in F Country?"
Clarissa nodded and asked, "What's wrong? Gimmy."
Gimmy hurriedly said, "Your grandfather is dying. If it's possible, book a flight to come back tonight to see him for the last time."
Clarissa shuddered as she couldn't believe her ears.
She stood there in a daze, as her mind went blank all of a sudden, and her ears were buzzing.
It took a long time for her to speak.
"How could it be... He was fine when he called me a few days ago..."
On the phone, Gimmy's mood seemed to be really down.
"Anything could happen over a short period of time. As early as a few months ago, your grandfather's health was already deteriorating. He just struggled to live for the past few months. Now he is at the end of the rope. His biggest wish is to see you now. I hope you can come back as soon as possible and fulfill his last wish."
Clarissa was silent for a while as her grip on the phone was slightly tightened.
After a long while, she said in a hoarse voice, "Okay, I see. I'll arrange it right away."
After hanging up the phone, she looked at Anderson with red eyes. Her voice was so soft that it was almost inaudible and choked with sobs.
"Anderson, Gimmy said... Grandpa is dying."
In fact, when Clarissa answered the phone just now, Anderson had already heard Gimmy's words from the phone.
His facial expression darkened slightly. After looking at the time on his wristwatch, he turned to look at Jameson.
"Jameson, we are going back tonight. It should be too late to book a ticket now. Please help us arrange it."
Jameson also knew the seriousness of the matter, so he nodded and said, "Well, we have a private jet. I'll go back immediately and ask them arrange for the flight. It shouldn't be a problem to depart in the evening."
Only then did Clarissa and Anderson nod their heads. After thanking Jameson, they quickly returned to the hospital to pack up their things.
For the whole afternoon, Clarissa's mind was in a whirl. She wouldn't have been able to pack her things without Nora's help.
Most of the time, you only knew how much you cherished someone when they were about to be gone. You would only start thinking about there were also many things you wanted to say and many things you wanted to do with him when you were about to lose him. Before you realized, it was already too late for regrets. You wouldn't have the time and opportunity anymore.
Anderson could tell that she was distracted. He comforted her by saying, "Don't think too much about it. It's just the life cycle that everyone will have to experience. What's more, Gimmy only said that he is seriously ill, nothing is the final yet. Perhaps when we go back, grandpa will be able to recover."
Clarissa nodded. Although she knew that he was just trying to comfort her, she felt much better in her heart.
In fact, Clarissa clearly knew that no one had control over their life cycle. Besides, if it had not been for the fact that there was no room for redemption, Gimm would not have been as anxious as he was now. Moreover, he would not have asked her to go back immediately to see Old Master Levine for the last time.
But humans, even if they were drowning, they would still try to save themselves by grabbing at flimsy reeds.
Even if it was a slim chance, she would rather believe that maybe a miracle would happen and Old Master Levine would be fine.
Because this was the only way she could make it through.
Soon, they were done with their packing. Clarissa did not recall that Anderson was still injured until she walked out of the door.
She quickly asked, "Is it dangerous for you to fly while you're injured now?"
Anderson shook his head. "I'm fine. I've already changed the dressing. It's only a few hours' journey. Even if something has gone wrong, we should be able to find a doctor in time once we make it back home."
Hearing this, Clarissa was still worried, but she knew that there was no other way out at this time.
Anderson would definitely go back with her if she went back, so she could only nod her head.
As soon as Jameson called them and said that they had everything ready, Anderson and the rest rushed to the airport immediately.
Given Old Master Levine's condition now, not only Anderson and Clarissa wanted to go back, but even the Ethanbez Group also sent Jameson to go with them after hearing the news.
After all, the two families had known each other for a very long time. If Old master Levine really couldn't make it this time, Jameson would be able to express his condolences on behalf of the Ethanbez family.
The plane took off at seven o'clock in the evening and arrived at Flauford at three o'clock in the morning.
When Gimmy learned of their schedule, he had already arranged for his men to wait at the airport in advance. Therefore, as soon as they got off the plane, they met the people from the Levine family who came to pick him up.
They got in the car together and headed directly to the hospital.
In the hospital.
Old Master Levine was already on the deathbed.
All the people in the Levine family were already in the hospital. They were afraid that they were not around as Old Master Levine could leave any time.
Even Gillee, who had been sent abroad before, was summoned back this time.
After all, Gillee was his own flesh and blood. At this time, what happened in the past didn't matter anymore.
In fact, Gillee had no real power now. Except for managing a few small companies abroad, he had nothing else, so they were not afraid that Gillee would do anything out of line.
When Clarissa and others arrived at the hospital, Gimmy happened to have walked out of the room when he got the notice.
As soon as Gimmy saw them, his eyes suddenly lit up.
"Clarissa, Anderson, you're back."
