Chapter 872 A Secret Map
Stunned, Emmeline knitted her brows and saw Jara waving at Quan, who was standing not far away.
Quan immediately brought it to him.
When it was handed to him, Jara took it and handed it to Emmeline. "Take a look."
Seeing that, Emmeline took it and found that it was a map.
Then, Jara explained. "This was originally a tattoo on his back. At first, we didn't notice anything. In the end, it was Quan who noticed that there was something wrong with the tattoo's pattern. After carefully analyzing it, he finally managed to form a map and had someone draw it."
Frowning as she looked at the curved lines on it, she asked, "Where is this place on the map?"
However, Jara shook his head, "I don't know."
"You don't know? What kind of good news is this then?"
She sounded a little dissatisfied.
Seeing her reaction, Jara chuckled, "If that's all, it's definitely not good news, but by mistake, when Quan handed over this map to me, I realized it looked a little familiar, so I took out the jade pendant that we previously bid and compared it with the map. Guess what?"
In response, Emmeline looked at him blankly.
Jara took out the jade and passed it to her.
"Why don't you compare it and see for yourself?"
Taking it, Emmeline put it on the paper.
After a long while, she suddenly realized that the pattern on the map was actually the same as the pattern on the jade pendant!

Then, Jara explained in a deep voice, "I suspect that the pattern on the jade is not a sign at all. Instead, it is a part of a bigger map."
"Didn't we find out before that there are a total of twelve jade pieces? Maybe each piece has a different pattern, representing a part of the map. As long as we find these twelve pieces, we can draw out a whole map and finally find the truth."
Knitting her brows, Emmeline felt that this matter seemed to be getting more complicated.
She looked at Jara and asked, "But why is this thing tattooed on Aryan's back? Isn't he afraid of being discovered?"
When being asked the question, Jara shook his head.
"I'm not very clear about this at the moment, but it proves that he must be lying to us before. At least part of his words was not the truth."
After learning that, Emmeline frowned.
At this point, she had already thought of it too.
He said that he was dissatisfied with the current situation under Jara's command, and he would be retaliated by Jara if he left.
Hence, when the other party came to him for help and promised to award him with a lot of money, he agreed to do so.
If so, how could the tattoo on his back be explained?
If he didn't know the meaning of the tattoo, how would he be willing to tattoo such a weird pattern on his own skin?
On the contrary, if he knew, it meant that he had long sensed something was wrong.
Perhaps, it was not like what he had said; perhaps, he had other purposes for doing so.
It could be that the enemy found him in a coincidence, or he could be undercover all along.
In fact, he could be the enemy sent to lurk beside Jara.
With the thought in mind, Emmeline didn't know and she couldn't be sure. She only felt that things were getting more complicated now.
Although most people knew about the Jade of Heaven, in fact, there was only a handful of people who had seen the jade and the patterns on it.
Hence, she wondered how Aryan saw this pattern and tattooed it on his back.
Furthermore, nobody knew the reason why he had been hiding by Jara's side.
If Emmeline was right, the mastermind behind Aryan's actions might not even exist. Instead, he could have an ulterior motive of his own.
If that was the case, what benefit would he get from killing Jara? What exactly did he want?
Emmeline didn't have the answer.
And to be honest, no one would be able to give her an answer at the moment.
With the thought in mind, Emmeline suddenly had a very strange feeling.
Somehow, she felt that the enemy seemed to be always one step ahead of her and Jara's plan.
No matter what they did, it seemed that they could easily take whatever they wanted from them and disrupt their plans.
Who was this person?
Who was this person who put so much effort to plan everything? What was it all about?
Jara was obviously in the same predicament as she was.
After a moment of silence, he said, "I'll send someone to investigate this again. We will find out the people he had been in touch with all these years, as well as his family background. You don't have to worry too much about it. I believe we will find out something soon."
With a nod, Emmeline looked at him, and couldn't help but to remind him.
"Be careful."
"Okay, I know."
After she left, Jara gave Quan a few more instructions and ordered him to investigate the matter.
On the other hand, Emmeline met with Yunne outside, and they went back to Emmeline's room together.
Yunne looked at her and said with a smile, "Emmeline, what were you and Mr. Holland talking about just now?"
Hearing that, Emmeline turned to look at her and chuckled. "Why do you want to know?"
"Nothing. I'm just curious."
She blinked her eyes, and it was obvious that she wanted to gossip.
Somehow, Emmeline felt embarrassed. Obviously, she didn't do anything, but under Yunne's gaze, it seemed as though she was guilty.
Subsequently, she couldn't help but raise her hand and lightly knock on Yunns'es head. In a low voice, she scolded jokingly, "It's not what you think!"
After a pause, Emmeline suddenly turned to look at her and asked with a smile, "As for you instead, I saw you and Rudy together today. Have you known each other for a long time?"
Emmeline asked the question in a gossipy tone, which made Yunne's face blush in an instant.
In response, she stammered. "W—We haven't known each other for a long time."
"Tsk. Tsk." Upon receiving the answer, Emmeline clicked her tongue twice and shook her head. "How come I don't think so? Judging from your interaction with him, it doesn't look like you've just met each other."
When Emmeline finished her words, Yunne's face turned even redder.
Looking a little anxious, she didn't know how to explain herself.
After a while, she explained. "Emmeline, don't tease me anymore. Rudy and I are from the same place, and we share the same hometown, so we have a lot more in common to chat about, but there's nothing happening between us."
While she was explaining, there was a slight disappointment in her eyes.
Of course, Emmeline was a very smart person. Although Yunne had tried very hard to hide her feelings, Emmeline still noticed it in the end.
Following that, she put away her smile and looked at her seriously. "Are you together yet? Or he doesn't know that you like him?"
At this moment, Yunne's face was so red as if it was about to bleed.
