Chapter 306 Birthday Gift
Clarissa knew it, so she didn't insist to stay.
A few days later, Clarissa's new drama was completed. It happened to be Christmas. Marty called her and asked her if she wanted to have a party together.
Clarissa thought that she had nothing to do, so she agreed.
When she got there, she knew that that day was not only Christmas, but Aidan's birthday.
Clarissa didn't know that, so she didn't even bring a gift and felt a little embarrassed.
Fortunately, Anderson had prepared for it. When he handed the prepared gift to her, she pretended to be angry and glared at him.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Anderson laughed, "You're so busy recently, and I don't want you to be so tired."
After that, he added, "Aidan has been friends with us since childhood, so he won't care about these things."
Although Clarissa knew that he was telling the truth, she understood that she should prepare a gift for Aidan, because this was the most basic etiquette.
The party was very lively. However, halfway through the party, Clarissa suddenly received a WeChat message.
It was sent by Natalia.
She was a little surprised.
She had added Natalia on WeChat since they drank together last time, but they had not contacted each other.

Clarissa got up and walked out of the box. Then she saw that Natalia standing at a corner not far away in a beige cashmere sweater.
Seeing Clarissa, she quickly ran over and said with a smile, "Sorry to trouble you, Miss Chapman. This is the gift I prepared for Aidan. Can you help me give it to him?"
Clarissa was even more confused.
"Aidan is inside the box. Isn't it better for you to give it to him yourself?"
Natalia forced a smile.
"No, I have something urgent to do, and I have to leave immediately, so I won't disturb your party. Besides, it's not something important. I happened to pass by here. I heard that you guys are here, so I came here."
Since she had so, Clarissa felt that she had to help her.
So she took the gift.
"Alright. Are you sure you don't want to come in and have a seat?"
"No, I have something else to do, so I'm leaving. Thanks for helping me."
Clarissa shook her head, "It's no bother."
"Then I'll leave first."

Clarissa looked at her back as she left, feeling a little helpless.
However, she didn't think too much, held the box and walked inside.
When she went back, Marty was playing cards with a few people.
The three of them had just finished one game and were resting.
Seeing her coming in, Anderson asked, "Where did you go?"
Clarissa said, "Natalia suddenly sent me a message, saying that she had something to give me."
As she spoke, she walked to Aidan and gave him the box, "This is her birthday present for you. Take a look."
Aidan was taken aback.
He glanced at the box in his hand, and then stood up and looked behind her, asking, "Where is she?"
Clarissa sighed and said, "She has left!"
"What? Since she had come here, why did she leave?"
Clarissa shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. But she said that there's an emergency. Probably she really has something important to do."
Hearing this, Aidan nodded. He didn't think too much, so he didn't ask more.
They played a few more games and didn't leave until the middle of the night.
They went their own homes.
The Leonard family had gone abroad recently, so Aidan felt boring to go home alone.
In addition, he had drunk a lot, and he had to perform an operation early the next morning, so he booked a room and rested in the hotel.
Seeing this, others didn't stop him and left the hotel.
It was late at night. Aidan returned to the room and felt physically and mentally exhausted. He was even tireder than he was after having ten surgeries.
Lying on the bed, he turned his head and saw the box on the bedside.
It was the gift which Natalia asked Clarissa to give him. The pink box was very beautiful, and it was tied in a bow, looking like a girl's stuff.
He smiled and felt no more tired for no reason, and even his mood was much better.
He got up, walked over, and opened the box.
He was slightly stunned when he saw the folded stars in the box and then burst into laughter. This was the first time that he had received such a gift...
In his heart, it was an unique gift!
He remembered that the last time he saw someone send this kind of gift was when he was in high school! It was many years ago.
But he didn't expect that he would receive a box of folded stars after so many years.
He smiled, flipped through the paper stars in it and found a note.
There was a sentence written on it. The handwriting was delicate and simple, just like Natalia who was pure and innocent.
"Aidan, happy birthday. I don't know what you need, and maybe you need nothing but just a sincere blessing. Then I wish you happiness forever."
Her simple words were neither gorgeous nor special, but a wave of happiness flooded Aidan.
Aidan grinned unconsciously.
He suddenly thought of something, took out his cell phone and dialed a series of numbers quickly.
Just as he was about to call Natalia, he hesitated for a moment.
Finally, he gave it up with complicated feelings in his heart.
What was wrong with him? It was just an ordinary gift. Did he really want to call her and thank her?
Last time, Natalia was drunk. Her phone was kept by him, and he saw her phone number by accident.
He didn't want to remember it on purpose, but he always had a good memory. With just a glance, he memorized it firmly and he couldn't forget it.

That day, the colleagues in the institute held a party together.
He was good at drinking, but he drank too much that day because he was happy.
Natalia was not a heavy drinker, so she got drunk after drinking a few glasses of wine.
Several colleagues made a joke and asked him to send her back to her room. Natalia was the only girl in the institute. He didn't want to embarrass her in front of so many people, and he would worry about her if she was taken away by others, so he sent her back to her room personally.

He didn't expect that Natalia would not admit it when she got up the next day. When she saw him, she didn't even thank him and left directly.
He slept on the sofa for a whole night in vain.
Thinking of this, Aidan couldn't help but laugh.
He was very surprised that Natalia, who had always been dignified and polite, would be so careless and mischievous.
