Chapter 409 You're Our Little Brother

Therefore, Anderson narrowed his eyes and said seriously, "You are angry. You must be dissatisfied with my performance just now. I have to work hard again."
"No... No... I'm very satisfied. I'm not angry anymore."
Clarissa quickly changed her tune, afraid that he would really do that one more time.
Anderson chuckled. "Are you really not angry anymore?"
"It's true." Clarissa nodded her head repeatedly.
"Well, that's a good girl."
Anderson let her go and got up. He picked up the clothes next to him and said, "Sleep for a while. I'll tell Pattie to call you for lunch later."
Wrapped in the blanket, Clarissa asked, "Where are you going?"
Anderson raised his eyebrows and suddenly leaned closer. He narrowed his eyes evilly. "What's wrong? You don't want me to leave so soon?"
Clarissa glared at him. "No, don't be narcissistic."
As she said that, she wrapped herself in the blanket alertly and rolled aside.
Anderson couldn't help but laugh when he saw the look on her face, as if she was afraid that he would eat her alive.
He reached out his hand to pat her head and said, "I'm going out to do something. You take a rest first. I'll come back to pick you up in the evening."
Clarissa snorted.
Anderson was not bothered. He then left the house.
In the evening, Marty's birthday party was held in a villa by the sea.
There were no outsiders, they were all his close friends so they naturally had a good time.
A group of people was barbecuing on the beach and drinking. Jameson, Lauren, Aidan, Gabriela, Anthony, and others were all here. The party was very lively.
The eldest son of the Blaine family, Marty's elder brother, Pavel Blaine, had arrived as well.
This was the first time that Clarissa had seen Pavel, because she had heard the rumors that he was a serious and stern person.
Maybe it was because of their age difference, he was ten years older than Anderson and Marty, so he looked a little old-fashioned.
However, after coming into contact with him, she realized that although Pavel wasn't quite a warm person he was still very approachable and didn't put on airs as an elder.
Anthony was very close to Clarissa.
Because they were both in the entertainment industry and Anthony was the first to know her among Anderson's circle of friends. As soon as he saw Clarissa, he couldn't stop calling her his "sister-in-law".
This made Marty, who was next to him, keep laughing at him. Pissed, Anthony had asked Marty to call Clarissa that too. Marty did not mind that but he did not want to do whatever Anthony had told him to do, so he kept his mouth shut.
When Anthony saw this, he went to Anderson to complain. Anderson, on the other hand, used a handle of the grill brush to hit his head, causing Anthony to yell.
"Clarissa, look at them. They're all bullying me. Come help me."
Clarissa was laughing hysterically. Anthony couldn't take it anymore. He rushed towards her and pulled her. "Clarissa, stop laughing. Help me beat him up."
Anderson slapped his hand away and said, "What are you doing? She's my wife, why should she help you?"
Anthony was so angry that his face turned red. "I know she's your wife, and she's my sister-in-law!"
As he said that, he came to drag Clarissa again.
Clarissa had no choice but to stand up and look at Anderson and Marty. Pretending to be angry, she said, "Don't bully Anthony anymore. He's the youngest. You have to respect the aged and love the young."
Anthony quickly nodded. "Yes, I'm your younger brother. You should have doted on me and pampered me, but all you do is to bully me."
Marty was laughing too hard that he was almost out of breath. He coughed and said while laughing, "Yes, you are our little brother."
It was only when Anthony heard this that he realized that he had been mocked by him again. He threw Marty a dead glare.
"Look, you are running out of breath laughing at me. Karma is paying back for your misdeeds!"
Clarissa had no choice but to fetch a bottle of water for him, so that Marty could finally breath normally again.
Marty thanked her and drank some water. Suddenly, he heard Anthony say, "Marty, everyone brought their girlfriends over today. Why didn't you? Where's your childhood sweetheart?"
Marty's expression changed instantly. He looked at Clarissa and the others guiltily before glaring at Anthony.
"Stop talking nonsense. What childhood sweetheart?"
"Hey, you still want to hide it from me? I've known it for a long time. I heard that she is the daughter of your dad's former subordinates and her surname is Hussain, isn't she? Why didn't she come here today?"
Seeing this, Clarissa also said with a smile, "Yes, Marty, you should have invited Evelyn here."
Marty felt a little embarrassed when he saw that everyone was making fun of him.
"I invited her over, but she didn't agree. I don't know if she would come at night."
After that, he turned to look at Anthony and threatened him fiercely, "Anthony, I'm telling you. Be nice to me, I'm older than you and I can be considered as your elder brother."
Anthony was disdainful. "Come on, you're only a few months older than me. Aren't you ashamed of asking me to regard you as my elder brother?"
"That counts too, even though I'm just a few months older than you!"
"I won't call you that!"
"Are you going to call me that?"
"Never!"
Marty immediately threw himself on Anthony to throw him onto the sand. The two of them started to fight.
Clarissa sat in front of the fire, roasting the meat. Seeing them had gotten into a scuffle, she couldn't help but laugh.
They really were very close to each other.
No one would have thought that these young masters, who were usually high and mighty, would have the chance to fool around like this.
They were like a bunch of carefree kids.
Clarissa smiled as she looked at them for a while. When she noticed that the meat on her hands was cooked, she quickly picked it up, placed it on a plate, and passed it to Anderson.
"Well, this is for you."
She handed the plate to him, but when she turned her head, she saw his deep eyes staring at her.
The look in Anderson's eyes was so affectionate that it made Clarissa's heart skip a beat as her face turned red.
"Why are you looking at me?"
She lowered her head to avoid his gaze.
Anderson curled his lips and reached out to take the plate from her, saying, "You're so beautiful."
Clarissa couldn't help but blush, from her face to her ears.
She was too shy to respond to his compliments, so she could only try to change the subject.
"Oh, by the way, I saw you often call each other brothers. You're the second eldest. Is Pavel the eldest in the gang?"
Anderson shook his head.
"Pavel is more than ten years older than us. When we were playing with mud when we were a child, he was enlisted into the army because of his dad. Since we rarely hang out together, he is not one of us."
"I see. Then who is the eldest? How come I've never heard of him?"
Anderson's hand, which was about to grab the cutlery, tensed up in an instant.
Clarissa noticed something was off with him and asked in confusion, "What's wrong?"
Anderson shook his head as he regained his composure. He took the cutlery from the table and said indifferently, "He's dead."
Clarissa was shocked. As she was distracted, she accidentally touched the edge of the barbecue stove and burned her hand.
"I see."
She jumped up from the stool. Anderson's brows twitched. He threw the plate away, stood up, and grabbed her hand.
"Why are you so careless?"
