Chapter 573 Would Not Force It

Without an umbrella, Forbos came back completely soaked in rain.
Seeing him like this, both Evelyn and her mother were startled.
Before she could understand what was going on, she saw him rushed into the house suddenly, and then started to look for money everywhere.
Both mother and daughter were shocked, and they didn't know what was going on. Looking at him acting all crazy, they were afraid to ask.
Forbos searched all over the house, but still could not find the money. Suddenly, he rushed over, and grabbed her mother's shirt, as he asked, "Where is the money? Where did you hide the money?"
Only then, she realized that Forbos was addicted to drugs.
In this world, that could be considered as one of the most terrifying things.
Everyone knew that for someone addicted to drugs, they would lose their rationale.
Therefore, at that time, Evelyn was extremely frightened.
That year, she was fifteen years old.
Fortunately, her mother was very smart. In order to prevent Forbos from hurting her, she was sent to a boarding school in the city.
The school had a strict ruling system. From Monday to Friday, even parents couldn't get in unless there were some special circumstances.
In those years, she and her mother had been living in fear.
At that time, her mother's health was also gradually going downhill.
This situation continued until she began her studies at the cinematography university, and only when she arrived at Flaucford that things began to take a turn for the better.
Everything that had happened in the past flashed across her mind like a film.
Recalling those painful memories, Evelyn's emotions was surprisingly calm.
It was as if those painful memories were like a gust of wind that had already been blown over.
Although she had felt it and lived it before, it was in the past, and she would never look back. Therefore, she no longer needed to fear.
The next day, she woke up very late.
Perhaps it was because she was dreaming all night. She woke up feeling tired.
On the other hand, Carrie knew that she went back late last night, so she purposely arrived a little late today. Knowing that she hadn't had breakfast, she specially bought soup for her.
After washing her face, she was browsing through Twitter to see if there was any gossip while she drank the soup.
However, as she was scrolling, she stopped suddenly.
On the sofa, Carrie was packing up the things she would use before going out today. After seeing Evelyn's reaction, she asked curiously, "Evelyn, what's wrong?"
Swallowing a mouthful of the soup, she choked and coughed before she could even swallow it.
Instantly, she waved her hand. "It's nothing."
However, Carrie approached her out of curiosity.
On the screen, she saw a headline on Twitter.
'The pure beauty, Evelyn, met a rich second generation in the middle of the night. Would something good happen soon?'
Carrie's eyes widened in shock.
The two blurred photos on the screen were captured secretly at the scene where Evelyn and Marty came out of the restaurant after their meal.
It was unknown whether it was because of Marty's power or some other reason that his image was blurred deliberately, and on the contrary, Evelyn's image was clearly seen.
Even though she wore a mask, and her hair was hanging over her face as her head was lowered, it could still be seen that the woman in the photo was her.
"Evelyn, this..."
Evelyn rubbed the space between her eyebrows.
"It's alright. There are too much gossips like this. Didn't they manage to capture me and Anthony some time ago too? Haha..."
Her laugh was a little forced, and it was obvious that although she said she didn't care, she was probably scolding them in silence.
Naturally, Carrie understood what she was thinking, so she smiled dryly.
"Evelyn, shall we tell Marissa?"
Her face darkened, as she shook her head.
It was already in the headlines, and Marissa might have already known about it.
And if she really asked her about what happened yesterday, she wouldn't know what to say.
It was impossible to tell the truth that Marty suddenly found his conscience and decided to take her to the amusement park.
If she really said that, she didn't know what kind of terrible ideas Marissa would think of to connect the dots.
So Evelyn sighed helplessly and shook her head. "Forget it. Let's not bother about it first. Let's go."
Carrie nodded.
Today, Evelyn's schedule was a photo shooting session for the endorsement product she contracted.
Since she had a certain level of fame now, so naturally, she had accepted quite a few endorsements.
Marissa wanted to raise her social status, so she no longer endorsed the daily essentials products that she picked up at the beginning.
Currently, she would only focused on some high-end and custom-made products.
For example, the high-end skincare products that she was going to shoot for today.
Evelyn and Carrie went downstairs and drove straight to the set.
After arriving at the set, the photographer and the makeup artist had already arrived in advance. Not only did they have to take photos for the posters, but they need to take photos for a brochure as well, so with the heavy tasks ahead, time was precious, and it couldn't be delayed.
Therefore, as soon as Evelyn came over, she went straight into the dressing room.
After a whole day of shooting, it was not until 6 o'clock in the afternoon that the shooting was finally over.
Evelyn had been changing her outfits and makeup, not to mention, posing for the whole day. She was so tired that she couldn't even sit up straight.
Therefore, Carrie made her a cup of nourishing Safflower tea to replenish her energy. After she sat down and drank a few mouthfuls, Carrie asked, "Evelyn, Marissa just called to say that she has issued a statement for you."
Confused for a few seconds, Evelyn realized that she was referring to the incident she had seen online in the morning.
After thinking about it, she reached out and said, "Pass me my cell phone."
Upon hearing this, Carrie took out her cell phone from her bag and handed it to her.
Clicking into her Twitter account, and as expected, Marissa had posted a Tweet through her account.
Marissa did not know that the man was Marty, she assumed he was her male friend.
Because she had promised Melissa that she would not be dating for a while, and Marissa trusted her.
So when she called, it was Carrie who picked it up the phone. Knowing that Evelyn was busy, she didn't ask her again and directly issued a statement of clarification.
After reading the statement, Evelyn didn't find anything wrong with it. She felt relieved and logged out of Twitter.
After removing her makeup, she bid goodbye to the staff and left with Carrie.
At this time, Melodie, who had been hiding in the dark, fell into low spirits when she saw the pictures on the Internet.
The others might not recognize Marty, but she had seen him yesterday.
Even if the whistleblower deliberately blurred Marty's figure and appearance, she could still figure out from his clothes that it was him.
Had they been together for an entire day?
The realization made Melodie panic inexplicably.
She knew that Marty didn't love her, and she didn't care about it in the past.
As long as she could stay by his side, and could marry into the Blaine family successfully, it didn't matter if actually loved her. She really wouldn't force it.
