Chapter 620 Threatening Her

Evelyn's pride was so high.
It was so high that she refused to give in to anybody, no matter what.
Even in the most difficult situation, she would rather grit her teeth and persevere than admit defeat.
But now, to be with him, she was willing to set aside her pride and self-esteem and say such things to Charlotte.
Marty was greatly moved in his heart.
On the other hand, Charlotte was extremely angry.
Pointing at them, she was so angry that her whole body was trembling. Then, she said angrily, "Are... are you guys threatening me?"
Marty frowned.
"Mom, we didn't mean that. You are the one trying to break us up."
As he spoke, he muttered again in a low voice.
"And what kind of society is it now? Are you still expecting to arrange a marriage for me?"
"How dare you!"
Seeing that Charlotte was about to pass out from anger, Marty quickly stepped forward to hold her.
However, as soon as he touched her, she pushed him away.
"Go away!" she yelled angrily, "I do not have a son like you who bullies your mother for someone else. Okay, since you guys are so deeply in love, then we will see if you can really overcome the challenges together!"
After that, she turned around and left the house angrily.
Marty was afraid something bad would happen to Charlotte if she walked out alone.
He said to Evelyn in a low voice, "I'll go out and have a look."
Evelyn nodded, and then he immediately chased after Charlotte.
Outside the villa, Charlotte was about to get into the car as soon as he walked out.
Unexpectedly, Marty stepped forward and stopped the car door.
Then Aria and the others stared at them, taken aback. They saw Marty, who was normally frivolous but still dignified, was acting cute in front of Charlotte.
"Marty, get out of my way!"
"No!" He grabbed Charlotte's arm and shook her. "Mom, don't be angry. Evelyn and I really love each other. She is the only woman I love most in my life. If I can't marry her, I will be single for the rest of my life. You do not want that to happen, do you?"
Charlotte was amused by his words, even though she was still irritated.
"You? Single for the rest of your life? Oh! I'm afraid that will never happen. Didn't you say the same thing when you were dating previously? So, why aren't you staying single now?"
Marty was rendered speechless.
Not far away, Aria and the others couldn't help laughing.
Marty glared at them, and they quickly stopped laughing.
Their wild grin, on the other hand, betrayed their inner joy.
Marty was also aware that what he had done in the past had left a bad impression on her.
But he was just immature the last time. After all, it was the women who were after him.
He was single at the time. Who could resist such a handsome and wealthy man?
Thinking of this, he sighed a little helplessly.
"Mom, I am serious this time! You were so mean to Evelyn just now. You not only hurt her but also hurt me. Don't be mad anymore, alright? And give us a chance, okay?"
After all, Charlotte still felt sorry for her son.
She sneered as she turned to face him. "Okay, I'll give you a chance. You can go to get your marriage certificate tomorrow without any possessions or property. How about that?"
Marty paused.
"I'd like to see if she still wants to marry you if you are no longer a member of the Blaine family and no longer work in the Blaine Group," Charlotte added.
Marty always thought Charlotte was intelligent.
Why was she suddenly so obstinate?
However, Charlotte's words inspired him.
He paused for a moment before responding with a smile, "Do you promise?"
Charlotte frowned. "What do you mean?"
Marty then said, "Hmm... You're saying that as long as I'm willing to give up all possessions and property, then we can get married, right?"
Charlotte doubted Evelyn would still be willing to marry Marty if he had nothing.
Therefore, she just sneered and said, "Of course! When the time comes, you will realize how realistic the women in the world are, and I am only doing this for your good."
Before Marty could finish hearing her words, he said directly, "Okay, that's settled then. As long as she's willing to marry me, you're not allowed to interfere in our affair in the future!"
Immediately, Charlotte was stunned. Before she could react, Marty had already pushed her into the car.
"Alright, you can go home now. I'll ask Aria to send you home. By the way, remember to ask Aria to bring me my passport when you get home!"
Charlotte was stunned and asked subconsciously, "What do you want your passport for?"
Marty smiled as he gripped the car door. "Didn't you say that you wanted me to propose to her? How can we get married if without my passport?"
Charlotte was stunned and exclaimed, "When did I ask you to propose to her?"
Marty then faked a smile.
"Mom, didn't you teach us to keep our promises? Are you going to go back on your word now?"
Charlotte was once again taken aback. It was not until then that she realized what she mentioned.
She thought about it and concluded that it was typical for women in the entertainment industry to marry into wealthy families. Evelyn wouldn't marry Marty if he had nothing.
Therefore, Charlotte gave him a cold look. "Okay, I'll give it to you, but don't regret it when you lose everything! Even if you come to beg me again, I won't help you!"
Then, Marty waved his hand as if he didn't care. "Okay, deal!"
Only then did Charlotte leave.
After watching the car leave, Marty narrowed his eyes and smiled. He then turned around and returned to his room.
In the living room, Evelyn was still sitting there.
She was delighted that she had just fought back with Charlotte.
But when she left, she began to regret her behavior.
She was too impulsive!
While she despised Charlotte's judgemental behavior, she had no choice but to put up with it for the sake of Marty.
Marty and Charlotte had a falling out because of her, which made her feel incredibly guilty.
