Chapter 292 The Stone Gambling Casino
Naturally, Anderson wouldn't pay attention to them, but Clarissa didn't want to act rashly and attract people's attention, so she had to reply to them politely.
At this moment, Nora suddenly whispered, "She's here."
Clarissa's heart trembled. When she looked up, she saw a woman in luxurious clothes walking, accompanied by a man.
The woman was wearing a wool coat and carrying the latest exclusive bag of a luxurious brand in her hand. Her hair had been smoothed and sculpted, and she looked so noble and exquisite.
However, her face looked a bit worried. As she walked in, she listened to the man next to her.
Halfway through, she suddenly stopped, turned to look at the man and said a few words with an angry face.
They were too far from each other, so Clarissa didn't hear what they were talking.
However, both of them looked unhappy. It seemed that something bad had happened.
Clarissa asked Anderson in a low voice, "Shall we go to find her now?"
Anderson's expression darkened a little, "Wait a minute. Let's see what she'll do."
Clarissa nodded.
After Chantel and the man quarreled for a few minutes, they stopped arguing in a bad mood. The man turned around and left, while Chantel stood still.
Clarissa smiled and said, "It seems that they have an unusual relationship. Have you seen the man before?"
Anderson shook his head.
Clarissa thought for a while, and then told David.
"David, go out to follow the man and investigate his background."
David nodded and turned around to leave.
The three of them stood there and waited for a while. Chantel seemed to have composed her emotions and walked inside.
They followed her in a hurry. Chantel found the man who had come to talk to Anderson and Clarissa when they walked in, took out a bag of cash, and handed it to him.
Anderson's face turned a little grim.
Chantel was negotiating with the man.
"Here are one hundred thousand dollars. Although it's just a small sum of money, it is all I have now. You promised me that you wouldn't make me lose money, but I have lost a lot! Anyway, you must let me earn money this time! Otherwise, I won't let you go!"
The man touched the cash in his hand and smiled, "Miss Jordan, why do you have to be so angry? The stone gambling depends on luck. Besides, there was jade in the rough stone I chose for you every time! But you're too greedy and want to make lots of money at once. What can I do about it?"
Chantel got mad when she heard this.
"That's because you always instigate me! You said that the batch of stones had been checked by a master and there were treasures in them. You also said that as long as I buy a certain number of stones, you can let me be a shareholder here. I believed you. How can you shirk responsibility now?"
The man laughed and said, "Alright, I won't say those useless words anymore. Anyway, it was just a thing of the past. But, Miss Jordan, one hundred thousand dollars really can't buy any good stones here. Can you add some money?"
Chantel said with annoyance, "I don't have any money now. You know that!"
The man shook his head.
"Tut-tut, are you kidding? You are the daughter of the Jordan Family. Your brother and sister-in-law are both dead. At least half of the property of your family should belong to you, right? I really don't believe that you don't have money."
Chantel's expression changed instantly.
She glared at the man, gritted her teeth and said, "I warn you. This is my own business. Don't mention my brother and sister-in-law!"
The man shook his head.
"Okay, I'm sorry. But you can't even buy a stone which is as big as a finger with one hundred thousand dollars. If you don't have money, come next time. What do you think?"
Chantel said arrogantly, "Why should I come next time? How much money have I spent here? Hundreds of millions of dollars, right? Now you tell me that one hundred thousand dollars are useless? What's more, I share our bonus here. Why can't I buy these stones at a cheaper price?"
The man sighed helplessly.
"Miss Jordan, you can only get the bonus at the end of a quarter or the end of the year. Now you say that you want bonus. How can I give it to you?"
"I don't care! Anyway, I must get these stones today!"
While they were arguing, they suddenly heard someone shouting from behind, "Aunt!"
Chantel was startled and quickly turned around, only to see Clarissa holding Anderson's arm and standing together with Nora.
Her face immediately turned pale.
"Anderson... Clarissa, why are you here?"
Clarissa smiled, "Anderson and I happen to have a day off today. I heard that there is a stone gambling casino here. I was a little curious, so I came over to take a look. I didn't expect to meet you here. Are you here for stone gambling?"
Chantel's face was a little ashy as she shook her head quickly.
"No."
"Oh? Is that so? I just saw you give him money, so I thought you have taken a fancy to a rough stone and want to buy it!"
Clarissa seemed to speak unintentionally, but her words hit home.
Chantel almost cried.
"Ha-ha, we used to be high school classmates, and we just met each other recently. He is short of money these days, so he borrowed some money from me. I came here to give him money today."
As she said this, she took a small step back, for fear that she might have something to do with the man.
Clarissa nodded with understanding.
"Oh, I see."
At this time, David had quickly sent someone to find out the man's background and sent the information to Anderson's phone.
Anderson glanced at the phone and sneered.
"Do you have a classmate who comes from M Country?"
Everyone was taken aback.
Chantel's heart skipped a beat. She stood there in a daze and didn't know how to explain.
Anderson glanced at the man, and then stared at Chantel.
"He's a jade merchant from M Country, having three mines in T country. He has been making a living by mining. A few years ago, he set up a stone gambling casino in Flaucford. Now he is doing a brisk trade."
"Aunt, you met him last year. You spent a lot of money when you came here for the first time, so he paid attention to you. He colluded with his friends to deceive you, and promised to let you become the shareholder if you spent two hundred million dollars here."
You were attempted and listened to him, but you didn't expect that you would gradually become obsessed with stone gambling. You not only have lost two hundred million dollars here, but also have owed a debt."
"You brought the money here today because you want to win back all the money lost? You want to make a big fortune by a little money? Huh?"
Chantel didn't expect that Anderson would have checked everything out as soon as he came in.
He even told the truth in front of so many people, which made her so awkward.
She put on a serious face and said to Anderson, "What nonsense are you talking about? How can I... lose so much money? I feel boring in ordinary times, so I regard it as a hobby. You misunderstand me."
