Chapter 95 Give Her A Lesson
Unexpectedly, the business partner suddenly changed his mind and chose another supplier.
If only one thing had happened, Conner wouldn't suspect anything.
But bad things happened one after another, which let him realize that something must have happened, or his family must have offended someone who they couldn't afford to offend.
Sure enough, when he learned that Lliana had actually drugged Clarissa and provoked Anderson, he couldn't be angrier.
But no matter how angry he was, Lliana was his own daughter and he could only bear the bad consequences.
Originally, he thought that it was Clarissa who asked Anderson to do that. But judging from her reaction just now, he found that she seemed to know nothing about this.
Anderson did so much for her, but she actually knew nothing about it, which proved that her importance in Anderson's heart was...
Conner didn't dare think about it further, and he felt a little regretful in heart.
How good would it be if they didn't allow Clarissa to quit her job?
Not to mention what she could bring to the Duncan family, at least they wouldn't provoke such a powerful enemy like Anderson.
Thinking of this, Conner only felt so bitter, and he persuaded Clarissa kindly, "In this case, you probably don't know about it, but it doesn't matter. You just need to go back and tell Mr. Jordan that we didn't want to hurt you. I beg him to forgive us and let us go, and I will keep Elliot and Lliana under strict control and never let them provoke you again. You just need to say so."
Clarissa was stunned for a moment, and then she understood.
She smiled, "Okay, as long as you can do as what yo said. Otherwise, I can't guarantee that I can help you again if you provoke me the next time."
Conner said, "Okay, I understand."
Clarissa nodded, "Okay, I won't care about this matter anymore. I'll go first. Put up bail for her yourself!"
Conner smiled and said, "Okay, thank you very much, Clarissa."
Clarissa didn't say anything and turned to leave.
When she left, she happened to see Lliana being taken out.
As soon as Lliana saw Clarissa, she immediately rushed towards her like a crazy woman.
"Clarissa! You b*tch! Stop! How dare you send me to the police station? I'll kill you! Just wait and see! I won't let you go!"
Clarissa smiled ironically. She glanced at Lliana as if she was a piece of rubbish, and then strode away without looking back.
Lliana was still cursing, but she was pulled by two policemen and couldn't break free.
She yelled, "Why do you catch me? You should catch Clarissa! She disabled four of my bodyguards, but I haven't got even with her yet! Are you all dead? She committed a serious crime! You don't catch her but catch me! What's wrong with you?"
The two policemen were expressionless.
Hearing her scream, Conner was so helpless that he yelled at her angrily, "Shut up!"
Lliana screamed, "No! Dad, even you speak for her! Have you and Elliot been bewitched by her? How can you let her go since she treated me like this?"
Conner couldn't control himself anymore. He raised his hand and slapped her in the face.
Lliana's head was slapped aside and she looked at him in disbelief.
"Dad! Did you... slap me just now?"
Conner gritted his teeth and said, "I think I should have slapped you long ago! Thinking that you are a girl, I have always been doting on you. I spoiled you so much that you became so arrogant!"
Looking at Conner's livid face, Lliana realized that he was really angry this time.
She apologized in a hurry and said while crying, "Dad, I'm so sorry. Don't be angry, okay? I don't like her because she always bullies Lara and wants to seduce Elliot. I... just wanted to give her a lesson."
Conner didn't want to investigate the reason at this time.
He rubbed his aching forehead and said tiredly, "Next week, go abroad with your cousin! Stay there for some time and study there. Don't come back in a short time."
Lliana opened her eyes wide.
"What? Dad, you want to send me abroad? I'm not going!"
Conner said coldly, "You have to go even if you don't want!"
"Dad! You send me abroad just because of that woman? I won't go! I won't go aboard even if I die!"
Conner didn't want to pay attention to her anymore. He asked two bodyguards to come in and let them send her home by force.
Then, he turned around and went out.
After he got on the car, the driver asked him respectfully, "Mr. Duncan, where are we going now?"
Conner pinched the place between his eyebrows and said tiredly, "Go back to the company and have a look."
"Okay."
As the car started, he looked at the backward scenery outside the window and sneered when he thought of what Lliana said just now.
For Clarissa?
Ah! How could he ignore his own daughter for Clarissa?
He obviously did that for Anderson!
Anderson was so powerful that they couldn't afford to offend him at all.
However, why would Anderson stay in Visstead all the time? He had stayed here for half a year!
What was he here for?
Conner was lost in thought.
......
At the same time, Clarissa returned to Estdal Manor, took a shower and changed her clothes.
After that, she realized that it was actually six o'clock in the afternoon.
Pattie prepared dinner and asked her to eat. Clarissa glanced at the time and asked doubtfully, "Won't Anderson come back for dinner today?"
Pattie smiled, "Mr. Jordan has to work overtime today. He called me just now and said that he would not come back to eat."
"Oh." Clarissa said and thought for a while.
Work overtime?
She didn't know whether it was true or not.
Anyway, she had nothing to do, so she wanted to go to his company to find him.
Thinking about this, she told Pattie, "Pack the dishes with boxes and I will bring the meal to him. Pack another portion for me together with his."
Pattie looked pleasantly surprised when she heard that.
She said in a hurry, "Okay, I'm pack it now."
She was so happy that Anderson was in such a good relationship with Clarissa, and her actions suddenly become nimbler.
Clarissa went back upstairs and took her bag. She wanted to go to the mall and buy a mobile phone and a new phone card when she came back.
When she went downstairs, Pattie had already packed the food.
Clarissa carried the lunch boxes and went out. Penny went to the door with her and smiled, "Mrs. Jordan, let the driver take you there!"
Clarissa shook her head, "No, I can drive by myself."
"Okay, please be careful on the road."
Clarissa put the lunch boxes on the passenger seat, started the car and drove out.
In the Jordan Group.
Anderson was holding a meeting, and the atmosphere in the meeting room was a bit solemn.
Almost all the top managers were there. Facing Anderson who was sitting on the main seat, no one dared take a casual attitude. They were in concentration.
Although this meeting had lasted for a whole afternoon, no one dared complain.
The project manager was standing in front of the projector and reporting his work.
After he finished speaking, he saw that Anderson's face darkened more and more, and he felt so nervous.
