Chapter 782 Bitter Hatred

Both of them were wearing black sportswear. The man's appearance was decent. He had a flat-cut hairstyle, and his eyes were calm and reserved.
If no one knew him, he might be able to get away with being a good college student.
But the girl was obviously on a different spectrum. Her black long hair was tied up in a high ponytail. With distinct facial features, her eyes were sharp and bright, and the corners of her mouth were slightly upturned, already looking as if she was smiling without trying.
As the two of them stood there for a while, a tall and thin figure slowly appeared before their eyes, walking toward them.
Both of them were stunned.
Before that, when they talked to Emmeline on the phone, they thought she would be an older woman, but they didn't expect her to be so young.
Caden was first to walk forward, squinting and smiling. "Nice to meet you, Miss Illington?"
Also reaching out her hand, she shook hands with Caden. "It's me."
The man behind her stepped forward and shook hands with Emmeline as well.
Without continuing the small talk, Emmeline glanced at the SUV behind them and asked, "Where's my item?"
"In the car."
Then, Emmeline took the lead and walked towards the car.
Naturally, they followed behind. When they opened the trunk, a large black plastic bag was seen lying there quietly.
Rubbing her nose, Caden let out a light cough, looking a little embarrassed.
"Sorry, I was in a hurry and didn't have time to find something better to wrap her, so I simply picked up a bag."
However, Emmeline looked calm, and she responded lightly, "It doesn't matter."
After looking at the bag for a while in silence, she turned around and asked Caden, "Is it still the same bank account as before?"
Hearing that, Caden nodded.
Then, without another word, Emmeline lowered her head and took out her cell phone to transfer the money.
Before she went out today, she had asked Uncle Poick for a credit card. Since the amount involved was not too much, and Uncle Poick had long received orders to satisfy all her requests, he gave it to her without even saying a word.
As for Emmeline, knowing that she would be a great use to Jara in the future, she didn't feel reluctant to spend his money at all.
She didn't feel guilty as well, after all, he was supposed to reward her the money anyway.
It didn't take long for the money to be transferred.
The moment the money was transferred, Caden instantly received the message. With a friendly smile on her face, she said, "Received. Since you didn't drive here, I don't think it's convenient for you to take her with you. Do you want us to give you a ride?"
Unexpectedly, Emmeline shook her head.
Then, she glanced at the black bag that was lying in the trunk and said in a low voice, "The place she will be going is not far from here. I can carry her."
Upon hearing that, Caden felt that her words sounded a little strange, but she didn't comment further.
With a nod, she replied, "Okay, then we'll get going. Happy to work with you. If there's any job in the future, I hope you'll come to us again."
In a friendly way, Emmeline nodded her head.
After Caden and her subordinate removed the body from the car, they hopped back into the SUV and left.
As the car disappeared into the night, the surroundings quieted down. At the moment, Emmeline was left alone In the deserted open-field, along with a half-rotted body.
It was definitely a creepy scene to look at.
Standing there quietly for a while, she then squatted down and unzipped the corpse bag. Right away, an indescribable rancid smell wafted into her face.
Subconsciously, she raised her hand and covered her nose and mouth with her sleeve. Under the dim moonlight, she finally saw the person lying inside.
It really was her.
Demon Devil—the Chief of The Demon Devil Squad in Salvation Club. She used to be a good friend of Emmeline.
After the collapse of the Salvation Club, Demon Devil disappeared. At that time, Emmeline heard that she had escaped to Xushoyji.
And Emmeline was even glad that not everyone died in that disaster. At least, one of them escaped.
But after four and a half years, why was her body discovered in another country?
It seemed like she couldn't escape after all.
Everyone who had once been with her died one by one, and none of them managed to escape.
While Emmeline thought of that, she closed her eyes, only to feel a surge of emotion, attacking her heart over and over again. It was so painful that she wanted to scream out loud.
However, she gritted her teeth and suppressed the pain.
It was as if she had shattered her teeth and swallowed the blood, along with the hatred that was buried deep in her bones.
Then, she picked up the dead body and began to walk.
There was a desolated crematorium nearby.
At this time, the staff of the crematorium had already gone off work. Hence, Emmeline picked up the body and steadied herself as she jumped over the high courtyard wall.
When she arrived before the iron door, she removed a hairpin from her head and unlocked the door, then gently pushed the door open. Immediately, an indescribable stench wafted onto her nose. She knew that it was the smell of the corpse. Many would choose to cremate the body on a special date so the bodies would be kept there for a while.
Never had Emmeline thought that she would come to such a place alone one day to do this. There was nothing creepier in the world than to secretly cremate a corpse!
However, she didn't have the time to be sorrowful as Jara was still waiting for her in the castle. If she hadn't returned before eight-thirty, she believed he would definitely come to look for her.
He seemed to have always done things in an impulsive and aggressive way, but it was very effective.
So she quickly adjusted her mood and walked to the cremation chamber that was still burning. After hesitating for a moment, she finally put down the cold body and pushed it into the chamber without opening the bag.
The black bag turned into a blue flame as it burned. Standing in front of the chamber, Emmeline could feel the heat burning her face. The pain was so vivid that it felt as if a hundred thousand ants were seeping into her skin, drilling into her blood vessels, and biting into her heart.
While she pressed on her chest, her eyes were sore, but she could hardly shed a tear.
It seemed that the tears that should have fallen had already run out four years ago.
During the hundreds of days and nights when she was locked in the dark prison, she would plead bitterly, hoping her companions would survive.
But in the end, there was no one, not a single one survived.
Therefore, she was desperate. During that period of time, she had exhausted all her tears in her lifetime.
Four years later, Emmeline could no longer cry out loud as she did four years ago.
Those painful feelings, and the bitterness that was too hard to describe, had long stacked into a mountain, pressing down heavily on her heart.
A long time ago, someone said something to her.
The more one experienced in life, the quieter and restrained one would become. Putting away her strengths and talents, she would become seemingly gentle and harmless, but in fact, she just wanted to give her opponent a fatal blow at the right time.
