Chapter 476 Holding The Wedding Ceremony

Naturally, he remembered who Clarissa was. He sized her up before he took a glance at Anderson's face.
"Did you save me?"
"Yes, we can't just leave you to die seeing how bad your condition was. We don't know who you are, so we dare not to send you to the hospital. Fortunately, there were just flesh wounds and there should be no big problem after they are being tended to."
As Clarissa spoke, something came to her mind as she asked Anderson beside her.
"He didn't have a fever last night, did he?"
Anderson said indifferently, "No."
"That's good. It seems that the medicine he took yesterday is still quite effective."
The other side looked at them as they exchanged a few words. His gazed deepened as he saw Anderson and Clarissa seemed to be interacting intimately with each other.
"Thank you for helping me. I'm sorry for."
As he spoke, he took a bow in front of her.
Clarissa smiled and said, "You're welcome. What happened last night... I can relate as well."
The man nodded and looked at Anderson again.
"If there's a chance in the future, I'll definitely repay you for saving my life. How should I address you two?"
Clarissa smiled and said, "My name is Clarissa, he...he is surnamed Jordan."
In the end, she still erred on the side of caution and did not tell him Anderson's full name.
The man wasn't bothered by it and nodded his head.
"I have other matters to attend to, so I won't be staying any longer. If there's a chance in the future, I will repay both of you for your kindness."
Clarissa was stunned. "You're leaving now? What about your injuries?"
"Thank you for your concern. I'm fine."
Seeing how persistent he was, Clarissa couldn't say anything more. She gave him the remaining medicine from last night and asked him to carry it with him just in case. Then she sent him away.
After sending her away, the two returned home. Clarissa asked curiously, "Anderson, who do you think he is? I always feel that he is carrying secrets with him."
Anderson stroked her head in amusement. "There are many people in the world who have secrets, so you don't have to know all of them. It's almost noon, let's go."
Clarissa nodded.
At noon, they received a call from Old Madam Jordan and asked them to go back to the old mansion.
Today was the second day of the New Year holiday. Clarissa thought that she was just calling them over for an ordinary gathering. However, Old Madam Jordan suddenly brought up the matter of holding a wedding ceremony.
Probably it was the death of Old Master Levine, which made Old Madam Jordan and Old Master Jordan feel a little sentimental, and they also cherished the people around them more.
They felt that even though Clarissa and Anderson had already gotten their marriage certificate a long time ago, they hadn't been able to hold a decent wedding.
Now that she was pregnant, it was better to take this opportunity to hold a simple wedding first, so that the Old Madam Jordan and Old Master Jordan could have some fun. After giving birth to their child, they could have an official one.
However, Clarissa and Anderson both felt that this was too much trouble. Neither of them was willing to do so.
When the two elders saw this, they spent a lot of effort to talk them into it. In the end, they both compromised. There would not be a formal ceremony, they would just dress formally and the families would get together to have a meal.
The matter was decided just like that. Even though it would be just a simple ceremony, Old Madam Jordan was still elated. She immediately sent someone to pick a date and the wedding dress.
Seeing this, Clarissa and Anderson didn't know how to feel about it. However, they decided to let them be as long as they were happy.
That night, the two of them went out for dinner.
The restaurant was located by the river. It was an upscale restaurant of a distinctive style.
Since Clarissa was pregnant now, there were many things she couldn't eat apart from some bland food.
It just so happened that Clarissa liked to eat the shrimps from this restaurant. However, she couldn't eat it during her pregnancy.
However, seeing how she was craving for it, Anderson peeled one and placed it in her bowl. In a serious tone, he said, "You can only eat one."
Clarissa promised him right away. It was a rare opportunity for her to satisfy her craving, so she felt extremely contented.
Anderson said with a smile, "It's a good thing that your morning sickness is not that serious. Otherwise, it would've been even harder on you."
Clarissa agreed with him. Some time ago, Clarissa vomited a few times so she knew how difficult it was to be a mother.
Anderson grasped her hand and said in a low voice, "This will be the last time. I don't want to have another baby anymore."
Clarissa smiled at him and said nothing.
It was a simple meal, warm and joyful.
The next day, the two of them were informed by Old Madam Jordan that the wedding would be held this weekend.
They had placed a rush order for the wedding dress, so it was not too late. Besides, Anderson and Clarissa didn't have to worry about the banquet and the location of the banquet, Old Madam Jordan had already gotten everything settled on her own.
Seeing this, the two of them did not have any objections. Time passed quickly, and soon the weekend came.
Because they had agreed that it was a simple ceremony, not many people came to the wedding. Only a few people from the Jordan Family and the Levine family came.
Since the death of Old Master Levine, Gimmy was the only one left in the Levine family who was close with Clarissa.
Therefore, the Jordan Family invited Gimmy to be the witness of their marriage.
Gimmy was indifferent even to life and death. Originally, he thought that his emotion wouldn't be stirred by a joyous event like this, but when he saw Clarissa coming out in a wedding dress, he couldn't help but be moved to tears.
The resemblance was too similar.
She looked exactly like Vivian.
If Vivian was not dead, if she was lucky enough to live to the day when she got married, she would probably be this beautiful in her wedding dress.
Clarissa had said that she wanted to wear a wedding dress when the official wedding was held, so the Jordan Family prepared an evening gown for her.
The evening gown was in white color and its design and cutting were both exquisite, which complemented Clarissa's slender and well-proportioned figure.
Because of the lack of a father figure, it was Gimmy, Clarissa's uncle, who walked her down the aisle.
Gimmy held Clarissa's hand as they walked out of the house.
Everyone was sitting in the backyard of the old mansion. The lawn was green and fresh. The weather was good and the sky was crystal blue and the air was filled with the faint fragrance of flowers and plants when the wind blew.
The Jordan Family had invited a priest to come over. After the readings, both Anderson and Clarissa said, "Yes, we do."
Then there came the exchange of rings and the ceremony was ended with the newly-weds sharing a kiss.
There was a round of applause from the crowd.
Clarissa's face was a little red. She slightly lowered her head, and a gentle smile flashed across her face.
Old Master Jordan stepped forward, held her hand, and patted the back of her hand.
He was too excited to speak. After a while, he said, "Good, very good!"
Clarissa was worried about his health. Concerned, she said, "Grandpa, don't get too worked up. Take care of yourself."
Old Master Jordan wiped his tears and said happily, "I'm fine. I've waited for this for so many years. Today, I finally could witness Anderson's wedding ceremony. He does live up to the expectations of his late parents. I'm very happy and relieved."
As he spoke, he turned to Anderson and said, "Take good care of Clarissa. Don't bully her, understand?"
Anderson nodded. "I know."
