Chapter 459 An Eternal Promise
As the hull swept across, the disk was shattered by the waves into pieces of golden debris.
The sun was shining on her face while a gentle breeze was blowing on her face, which made her feel relaxing and comfortable at the same time.
However, at this moment, a huge force washed over her from behind.
Clarissa opened her eyes wide in horror as she fell down like a kite with a broken string. The golden sun pierced her eyes. She could not see clearly what was happening on the deck. She could only see a shadowy figure enveloped in golden light.
"Plop", she fell heavily into the sea, as the sea water filled her ears, nose, and throat, making her choke so hard that she almost fainted.
Suddenly, something grabbed her wrist.
Someone lifted her waist and scooped her up with force.
Clarissa forced herself to open her eyes and saw a familiar figure. The overwhelming seawater blurred his facial features, but somehow, she was still able to see the person in front of her clearly.
Anderson, how could it be him?
She opened her mouth and wanted to tell him to let go of her. However, as soon as she opened her mouth, Clarissa was choked with sea water endlessly.
Clarissa had a strong urge to puke after a strong taste of bitterness filled her throat. She couldn't say anything at all.
She could only hold the hand on her waist and shake her head at him desperately.
No! Don't worry about her! Leave now!
However, the other party did not seem to be intimidated at all.
He looked at her so firmly, as if he would not let go of her regardless of what happened.
He dragged her upstream little by little. When they were about to reach the shore, a huge wave suddenly washed over.
Clarissa only felt a huge force penetrating through her chest as the world started spinning around her. Then a bloody taste filled her mouth.
And the powerful hand gripping on her waist was loosened because of this. She stared down in horror to see Anderson engulfed by the sea.
Clarissa widened her eyes in horror, trying to reach out to grab hold of him. However, he had already drifted far away. Even if she tried her best, she could not reach him.
There was nothing she could do apart from helplessly watching him being swept away by the sea. As darkness fell, she fell into a bottomless abyss.
"Ah!"
Clarissa let out a cry of alarm and jolted awake.
She sat up from the bed and breathed heavily with cold sweat covered all over her body.
It was very quiet in the room. Apart from the extremely light sound of the air purifier in the corner and the even sound of breathing of the man beside her, there was no other sound.
Clarissa closed her eyes in fear. When she opened her eyes again and looked at the scene in front of her, fortunately, it was only just a dream.
Perhaps her movements had stirred him from sleep. He reached out his arm to hold her waist, and his voice was still lazy with a trace of sleepiness.
"What's wrong? Did you have a dream?"
Clarissa let out a long, deep audible breath and said in a low voice, "I'm fine."
Anderson opened his eyes and quietly stared at her in the darkness.
He seemed to sense that something was not right with her. He propped up his body slowly and sat up, pulling her into a hug.
"Don't be afraid. I'm here."
Leaning on his chest, Clarissa recalled the scene in her dream. She didn't know why she felt a sense of familiarity about it even though she knew it was a dream. It was so familiar as if she had experienced it before.
Feeling a great sense of fear washing over her, Clarissa began to be in a panic.
She grabbed Anderson's clothes tightly and whispered, "Anderson."
"What's that?"
"Do you think we have known each other since a long time ago?"
Anderson's body seemed to be stiffened.
He was silent for a long time and didn't say anything.
In the dark, his pair of calm eyes stared at her with complicated emotions, but Clarissa was only trapped in her own emotions, so she did not notice it at all.
She said, "Do you know? In fact, since the first time I saw you, I always felt that I had seen you somewhere before."
Anderson's eyes darkened slightly as he asked, "Did your memory come back to you?"
Clarissa shook her head.
She suddenly raised her head and looked at him naively. "Anderson, do you think we've been together in our previous lives? Because we didn't get to spend enough time with each other, we've agreed to be together again for the present life. That's why I felt familiar with you the first time I saw you."
Anderson was stunned and speechless for a moment. He did not know what to feel.
However, he could not bear to pop the bubble of her beautiful idea. He only nodded his head and said softly, "Well, because I didn't love you enough in the past, I have to continue to love you in this life. Not only in the next life, but also eternally, we will continue to be together. I promise. Mrs. Jordan, do you promise the same?"
Clarissa looked at him in a daze. His deep eyes were full of deep affection. Even though the room was dimly lit, she could clearly feel his sincerity.
She gradually curved her lips into a smile. The fear in her heart had finally dissipated a little because of Anderson's words.
She put her head close to his chest, put her arms around his waist, and said firmly, "I promise you that we will be together eternally. You carry the responsibility to find me. If you can't find me, I will make sure I make life difficult for you."
Anderson chuckled and nodded.
"Well, I'll come find you."
They held each other and napped for a while. Clarissa picked up the phone and looked at the time, finding that it was actually getting late.
At six o'clock in the morning.
She was no longer sleepy, so she let go of him and said, "Sleep a little longer. I'll get up and take a walk."
Unexpectedly, Anderson shook his head.
"No, I've had enough sleep."
After fooling around last night, they both went to bed early in the end. Seeing this, Clarissa didn't say anything else.
After getting up and washing up, she supposed that Nora and David were still sleeping, so Clarissa did not disturb them.
Clarissa checked Anderson's body temperature and found that it had completely returned to normal. They only needed to wait until eight o'clock when the nurse came in to apply medicine to Anderson's wound.
Seeing that Anderson was in a good state, the two of them went downstairs together, taking a stroll on the lawn downstairs for a while to get some fresh air.
They didn't return to the room until eight o'clock.
After the nurse had changed Anderson's dressing, Nora walked in from outside.
"Mr. Jordan and Mrs. Jordan, there's news saying that Blade Scar will be there at 3 p.m.."
Clarissa nodded and said, "Okay, go and make the necessary arrangement. We'll go there together in the afternoon."
Nora nodded in agreement and turned to leave.
Not long after she left, much to Clarissa's surprise, Jameson came.
Two days after Jameson returned home, he went back to F Country after dealing with some matters.
Clarissa was rather surprised to see him. "Didn't you say you were going back? Why did you come back so quickly?"
