Chapter 417 Framing Her

Elicia's words made Yasmin blush a little, as she stuck out her tongue in embarrassment.
A lady present tried to smooth things over for her. "Yasmin is still growing up, it's good that she likes to eat."
"You guys are just spoiling her!"
The group of people laughed happily. Soon, the servants came to remind everyone that the meal was ready. Elicia then took everyone to the dining room.
After entering the dining hall, Clarissa saw Anderson. At the same time, she also saw a young man following behind Anderson.
It was a young man who was as pale as a ghost. He was about eighteen or nineteen years old and had bright eyes. He was polite and modest, and his body was thin. Due to his long-time illness, his face looked sickly pale. Sitting in a wheelchair, he was pushed forward by a servant.
He seemed to be on a good term with Anderson. Sitting in a wheelchair, he smiled and said something to Anderson. Anderson was also surprisingly patient with him. He even slightly tilted his head to listen to him.
"Luke, come here and let me introduce you to each other," Elicia said.
The young man called Luke asked the servant to push him over. Elicia tugged at Clarissa and said, "This is Anderson's wife, Clarissa. You were sick before and didn't come with us to visit our relatives in Ascijan, so you haven't met her. It's not too late to get to know each other now."
Luke smiled and nodded. "Hello, Clarissa."
Clarissa nodded politely. "Nice to meet you."
"This is a gift I brought back from overseas some time ago. I'm really sorry not being able to go back to Ascijan to visit you all. Take this as a token of my apology."
As he spoke, Luke took out a gift box from behind and handed it to Clarissa.
Clarissa was a little stunned.
Yasmin immediately became unhappy and said, "Luke, you actually bought gifts for Clarissa and not for us! You are so biased!"
Luke smiled and said, "Why are you getting so worked up? I bought gifts for everyone. They are all in my room. You can go to get it after dinner."
Yasmin turned her anger into joy. "Okay, then I'll come with you after dinner."
Clarissa looked at Anderson. When she saw that he nodded his head subtly, she accepted the gift and said with a friendly smile, "Thank you."
Only then did everyone sit down and start eating.
During the banquet, there were always people who asked Luke about his condition, and he responded with a faint smile and told them that he was fine.
But Clarissa could see that there was a bluish color to his face, and there was no color on his lips. Nevertheless, he still said he was fine. It was probably just to reassure them.
What kind of sickness did Luke have'?
Clarissa didn't have a bad impression of this person, so she was a little more curious. She thought that she could ask Anderson when they left in the evening.
"Clarissa, let me propose a toast to you!" Yasmin suddenly spoke and walked towards Clarissa with a glass of red wine in her hand.
Clarissa was a little surprised. She didn't know why Yasmin wanted to propose a toast, but out of courtesy, she still picked up the glass and clung their glasses.
"Clarissa, I'm a pretty blunt person. If I've offended you in any way, I hope you won't take it to the heart." Yasmin was hinting at something.
Clarissa nodded as she looked at Anderson, deep in thought.
Elicia smiled and said, "Yasmin, your Clarissa is different from you. She can't drink too much. Don't get her drunk."
Yasmin smiled and said, "Of course not, Clarissa and I are close. Don't you think so?"
After that, she looked at Clarissa with a smile.
Could Clarissa say otherwise?
No way!
She also gave a faint smile and said meaningfully, "Yasmin is so pure and lovely. She is also broad-minded in everything she does. Of course, I like her very much."
Elicia did not hear the undertones of her words. She thought that they were close and nodded in satisfaction when she heard that.
"I'm glad that you two get along with each other. If there is anything you want to know during your visit that we don't know, you can ask her and Luke. They are more familiar with this place than you two. They could be helpful to you."
Clarissa and Anderson expressed their gratitude.
After drinking, Yasmin smiled and said, "Clarissa, what are you doing here?"
Clarissa's expression was indifferent. "It's nothing. I just happened to have some time recently, so I came over to relax."
"Well, wherever you go, take me with you. I like to be your tour guide."
After she finished speaking, she winked at Clarissa, as if the relationship between them was really close.
Clarissa thought that she might need to learn to be a little bit more thick skinned like Yasmin.
The group of people finished their meals happily. After the meal, no one knew where Anderson and Jameson went. Yasmin pestered Luke to take a look at the gifts. Clarissa was a little bored, so she went to the courtyard for a walk to digest the food.
"Clarissa." Yasmin suddenly caught up from behind and took her arm. "Are you going for a walk? I'll accompany you."
Clarissa felt speechless towards how persistent Yasmin was trying to get close to her.
"Aren't you going to find your brother?"
"Why is that? They're talking about men's stuff, and they're boring to listen to. I am not going to join them. Besides, you might be bored walking alone, and I happen to want to walk around, so I came to accompany you."
At this time, Yasmin was really like a naive and silly girl, but Clarissa knew that she wasn't anything like that. A naive person would not frame another person.
"Oh, but I'm tired of walking. I want to go there and have a rest." Clarissa pointed to a pavilion not far away.
"Okay! Let's sit over there and have a chat!"
Clarissa was speechless.
Yasmin dragged her to the pavilion to sit down before she could say anything.
The members of the Ethanbez Family were all people who knew how to enjoy life. Although they were abroad, the house was built based on Ascijan's architecture.
The scenery here was very good. Beside the pavilion was a pond shaped like a crescent moon. The pond was full of all kinds of water lilies. At this time, although they were not blooming, the faint fragrance of the flowers still could be smelled.
Clarissa sat in the pavilion helplessly, waiting for Anderson to come to her when he was done. That way, she could get rid of Yasmin.
"Clarissa, look, there's a water lily there." Yasmin suddenly pointed to a place in the pond and cried.
Clarissa raised her eyebrows and thought, "It's almost August, and there are still water lilies?"
Who did she think she was fooling?
She looked up in disbelief, but saw a white object in the pond. She couldn't see clearly what it was dark at night.
"I'm afraid some garbage has flown to the surface."
"How is it possible? Do you think this is a tourist attraction? And rubbish? Let me tell you, there are people cleaning up every day here. It must be a water lily."
After that, Yasmin pointed at the distance, "Clarissa, grab me, I want to pick that flower up."
Clarissa raised her eyebrows.
Subconsciously, she felt that Yasmin was pulling a trick on her.
In her mind, she instantly imagined all the scenes in the movie where the mistress tried to frame the wife in order to replace her.
