Chapter 434 He Loves Her Dearly
Anderson didn't want to explain too much to her. He only patted her head and said in a deep voice, "In short, no matter where you go in the future, you must bring bodyguards with you."
Clarissa's brows furrowed.
However, this time, she was not repulsed by the idea. She only said softly, "When Nora arrives, I will let her follow me. She will be by my side 24/7 and I will never go out alone in the future."
Only then did Anderson nod his head.
"Clarissa!"
Anderson suddenly called out to her. His voice was low, it sounded as if he was sighing.
Clarissa responded to him, "Yeah."
"If one day you find out that I'm hiding something from you, and you will have to be in danger all the time when you're with me, will you be afraid of that and leave me? You know there is no way for me to guarantee for you to be safe and sound all the time, even if I have tried my best to keep you safe."
Clarissa was slightly stunned.
She did not know what Anderson was hiding from her, nor the danger he was referring to.
But if it was something similar like today's situation, in fact, as long as she was more vigilant and smarter, she could completely prevent it from happening. It was only because she was too careless!
She shook her head. "Why should I blame you? It's my choice to be with you, for better or worse. Why should I leave you?"
Her words made Anderson take a deep breath. His eyes suddenly became deep.
She lowered her head and hooked her chin with her slender fingers, saying, "Say it again."
Clarissa blinked. She was a little confused.
"For better or worse..."
Before she could finish, she was interrupted by Anderson, "No, before that!"
"It's my choice to be with you..."
Clarissa suddenly came to her senses as soon as she opened her mouth, as her face turned red.
The light in front of her eyes suddenly dimmed. Anderson lowered his head and kissed her on the lips.
He kissed her deeply, not anxiously, but very deeply. He invaded every corner of her mouth, while he caressed her face, as if he was holding the most beloved treasure in the world. As soon as he let go of her, she would leave him right away.
It was not until this moment that Clarissa was able to feel the panic and fear in Anderson's heart. He held her tightly and steadily, but Clarissa seemed to have felt the deep-rooted fear in his heart.
What was he afraid of?
Anderson's breath suddenly became hot. Just like a storm, one second it was calm, and the next it was going to wreak havoc to the world.
With a dark aura that could destroy everything, he kissed her deeply while holding her so closely to himself, as if he was afraid of losing her.
Clarissa's brain went blank due to the lack of oxygen from the kiss. It was only until her tongue went numb that Anderson let go of her. He bit her earlobe and whispered, "Clarissa, I love you!"
Clarissa was shocked.
Anderson was never a person who was a sweet-talker. He rarely showed his emotions, and he was cold and aloof.
However, such a person had said such words to her emotionally at this moment.
All sorts of feelings welled up in Clarissa's heart for unknown reasons.
She slightly lowered her eyes to cover up the emotions in them and whispered, "Don't worry, I will protect myself well and won't be a burden to you."
Anderson chuckled. "I'd like you to be my burden."
Clarissa's heart swelled. After a pause, she suddenly thought of something and asked softly, "What if you find out that I lied to you? Will you still love me?"
"Yes, I will!"
He suddenly let out a soft laugh as his hot breath tickled her neck. He said in a hoarse voice and in a dangerous tone, "If the worst comes to the worst, I'll lock you up on the bed. If you lie to me once, I'll do it with you. I'll do it until you tell the truth!"
His naughty words made Clarissa's face instantly turn red. She pushed him away and said in anger, "You're not being serious!"
"Heh! Then tell me, what is it that you lied to me?"
Speechless, Clarissa turned her face away. "No!"
"Hmm?" Anderson pinched her face, his tone full of warning.
Clarissa's eyelashes fluttered slightly before she said seriously, "No, I was just asking."
Anderson stared into her eyes. After a long while, he finally nodded his head and let go of her.
Forty minutes later, the car arrived at the hospital.
Anderson didn't go to the Ethanbez Family to which they had not insisted.
However, Mr. Byler somehow got Clarissa's phone number from somewhere and called her twice, saying that he needed Clarissa's cooperation to give a statement.
Although David was able to give some statement to the police on her behalf, after all, Clarissa was the first party involved. There were some situations that only she knew, so he needed her cooperation.
Anderson did not want to make things difficult for him, so he agreed to let him send someone to record a statement from Clarissa the next day. Mr. Byler expressed his gratitude to Anderson before hanging up the phone.
After returning to the hospital, Clarissa went to take a bath first.
After taking a shower, Dr. Amy was already here.
Most of the time, Amy was staying abroad.
As soon as she saw Clarissa, she smiled right away and said, "Miss Chapman, do you know? When I first met you, I had a feeling that you would face a catastrophe this year. But this catastrophe would surprise you but not be dangerous. It's nothing serious.
"After this catastrophe, everything will be smooth sailing for you. At that time, when I told Mr. Jordan and the rest about it they didn't believe me. But you see, it's happening!"
Clarissa couldn't help but laugh. She looked at Anderson, who was sitting next to her, and asked, "When did you become a fortune teller?"
Anderson glanced at her and said, "When she was a child, she once was a disciple of an infamous swindler."
"Puff—" Clarissa couldn't help laughing right away. "Really? Amy, I couldn't tell! So you were the top disciple of a swindler."
Amy's expression darkened and she said to Anderson, "It was so many years ago. Why did you still bring it up? Why didn't you tell the story of you staying at the female's bathhouse overnight when you were a child?"
Clarissa was stunned for a moment, then laughed even more hysterically, and her face was full of disbelief. "No way? Why did you go to the bathhouse?"
Anderson's expression darkened, but Amy wasn't afraid of him and said, "Why else? When he was a child, he was illiterate. Someone lied to him that the female bathhouse was a male bathhouse, so he went in. But when he went in, he found something wrong so he hid in the changing room. He was too shy to come out, so he stayed in the bathhouse all night."
Clarissa suddenly burst into laughter. "How old was he at that time?"
"I guess he was about ten years old!"
"Ten years old? That's impossible. At that time, how could he be..."
Clarissa couldn't finish her words, and the expression on her face was a bit stiff.
When he was a teenager, he should be able to do normal reading, let alone differentiating the word "male" from "female". How could he be tricked into the female bathhouse because of this?
She turned her head to look at Anderson who had a gloomy expression on. Anderson's face was a little awkward. He coldly said, "Stop talking so much nonsense! Conduct the medical examination on her first!"
Amy said triumphantly, "Okay!"
As she spoke, she came forward to help Clarissa to do the examination.
