Chapter 1044 Going Back Together

When Sierra heard this, she couldn't help but laugh heartily.
As she looked at Clarissa's slightly raised belly, she was actually excited for it. She didn't know what it would be like when the baby was born.
She never bore a child of her own. The only child who was born in the past had died because of an accident.
Therefore, even though she had Clarissa later on, she still felt a little regretful about the matter of her child.
Fortunately, it was a long time ago, and she had let go of it already.
After they made up their minds, they packed up their things together and went to tell Robert.
Before going to Robert, Clarissa first looked for Anderson and brought it up to him.
After hearing this, Anderson agreed very much with Sierra's decision to go back with them.
As for Robert, as long as Sierra wanted to go, he would have no choice but to agree.
With these thoughts in mind, the group of people went to Robert.
When Robert learned that Sierra wanted to return to Ascijian with Clarissa and the others, his face darkened slightly.
Seeing that, Clarissa advised. "Mom lives here alone, and you can't stay with her all the time. Her condition is not suitable for her to go out and make friends. You can't let her sit at home all day too. It's not good for her. Mr. Lane, I know that you really loves mom, so you'd definitely agree to choose a better environment for her. Is that right?"
Indeed, Clarissa's words actually stuck with Robert.
He really loved Sierra. He had fallen in love with her since the first time he saw her.
It was a pity that at that time, she was already married, so he was very disappointed for a period of time.
But then, by coincidence, Sierra was framed by Chloe and the others. After a car accident, Robert had rescued her and took her abroad. They had spent a fairy-like time together all these while.
Although Sierra had been by his side for the past couple of years, satisfying his needs, he knew that there was something missing in the depths of Sierra's heart.
She should not be isolated here with him, like a snail hiding in its shell and could not see the outside world.
She belonged to the human world and needed love from others too. She needed to be with her children and grandchildren, and she needed an ordinary life.
Instead, she shouldn't be staying here, waiting for her husband like a stone, as well as anticipating for him to come home every day, and lived a boring life.
With this thought in mind, Robert finally calmed down.
Looking at Clarissa, he said in a low voice, "Are you sure that if she goes there, can you take good care of her?"
"Of course." Without a second thought, Clarissa promised. "I promise that I will take good care of Mom. After all, in this world, you love her, but I love her more. No one wants to hurt her."
Robert nodded.
Clarissa added, "In fact, Mr. Lane, if you want, you can go back with us. Ascijian's resources and environment are much more suitable for you to study medicine. So you can do what you like and you don't have to be separated from Mom. Isn't that the best case scenario?"
However, Robert gave a disappointed smile and shook his head.
"Forget it, I won't go. There are still many projects in my laboratory that haven't been completed. If I leave, what about those projects? Besides..."
He glanced at Sierra and said faintly, "In the end, I owe her all these years. I always thought that because I loved her, I had to keep her by my side. However, I didn't realize that she was so lonely. It was my negligence as a husband."
After hearing that, Sierra couldn't bear it and uttered. "Robert, don't say that. If it wasn't for you, I would've died a long time ago. In fact, I've never complained about you..."
But Robert waved his hand, indicating that she didn't have to say anything more.
Turning around, he said in a deep voice, "Well, since you have all decided, then you should go together. When I have time, I will come and see you."
Although he had tried his best to pretend to be generous and strong, everyone could see that deep down, he didn't want Sierra to leave at all.
He looked strong simply because he didn't want to put Sierra in a difficult position.
Clarissa frowned.
At this moment, Anderson suddenly spoke.
"Since everyone is reluctant to part with each other, why don't we move to Ascijian together. As for the project that you mentioned, we can finish the ones that cannot be moved here. But for those that can be moved, we can move it all to Ascijian. That way, you can take care of both sides, which will be the best of both worlds, isn't it?"
Hearing that, Robert frowned.
"Move the project to Ascijian? It's easy to say. Do you know how much it cost for each project..."
"You don't have to worry about the money, I will solve it. If you want, I can build a large lab in Ascijan, just like the one you have here. You can study whatever you want, and I will transfer a fund to you every year, so that you can do whatever you want. What do you think?"
It had to be said that Anderson's proposal was really tempting.
After all, although Robert had a laboratory and castle here, it was his master who had passed them on to him.
As for himself, he had always been so engrossed in medicine that he had no intention of doing business. Although Sierra had a business mind, due to her inability to interact with strangers, she had very little to do when it came to handling business affairs.
Therefore, his laboratory had always been in lack of financial support.
It should be noted that the cost of studying medicine was actually very high.
In Ascijian, if Anderson was really willing to pay him to continue his research, it would be a good outcome.
As he thought so, he looked up at Anderson with a pair of sparkling eyes.
"Are you serious? Will you really give me a sum of money on a regular basis every year to fund my research?"
"Of course."
Anderson smiled faintly. "After all, it's medical research. It's an important matter for the benefit of the country and the people. Of course, I should support you."
It was only then that Robert nodded.
"Okay, then give me a night to think about it. I'll reply to you tomorrow."
"Okay, but only for one night. You have to think it over. If you agree, I'll have someone start building a laboratory for you right away. You can't go back on your word at that time."
"Okay."
After Robert finished speaking, he waved his hands impatiently to shoo them away.
When Clarissa saw this, she knew that their plan was very likely to succeed.
Hence, she took Sierra's hand and said happily, "Mom, you won't feel guilty anymore, right? If Mr. Lane really agrees to come to Ascijian, then it will be like a family reunion."
Sierra nodded. In fact, she was delighted that things had turned out this way.
Then, she turned to look at Anderson and said with a smile, "It's all thanks to Anderson."
