Chapter 776 Extremely Unhappy

Along with Kayla, Jara got into the Rolls-Royce.
On the other hand, Emmeline was standing there for a few seconds before Isaac caught up behind.
He was a shrewd and sharp-witted person, so when he saw Jara and Kayla getting into the first car, he couldn't bear to see Emmeline feeling awkward. Immediately, he walked up to her with a smile and said, "Miss Illington, if you don't mind, can I take a car with you?"
While Emmeline didn't present any expression on her face, she opened the door of the Lexus and stepped into the car.
At the same time, she replied, "Whatever."
Again, Isaac was stumped.
He felt as if Jara and Emmeline were a couple in a quarrel, and he was sandwiched in the middle, acting as a punching bag.
But as he thought of the immense feud between them, he shook his head and didn't bother too much about it. Instead, he walked over to the other side and got into the car.
The golf course was not far away from the castle and it was also Jara's property.
After twenty minutes, they arrived at the place.
When the group of people stepped out of the cars, the drivers drove off to park. Standing at the open space, Emmeline narrowed her eyes, and raised her hand to her eyebrows like an explorer, while she observed the surrounding terrain.
Seeing that, Isaac, who was behind her, said with a smile, "Miss Illington, you still practice the habit you used to have."
Upon hearing that, Emmeline froze.
In the past, due to her special identity, she needed to ensure her safety, so every time she went to a new place, the first thing she would do was to observe the terrain and venue around her properly.
She would check the number of entrances, the location of the dining area and the restrooms, the distance between each venue as well as the number of people moving around.
In fact, she remembered that Jara was the one who taught her about that in the beginning, and somehow she had kept the habit.
Even though past relationships could no longer be amended, these habits that were deeply ingrained in her bones could no longer change.
For a moment, her expression became slightly complex, as if something tucked deep within her heart was extracted one by one, which made her gone absent-minded.
It was at this moment when she heard Kayla speaking toward Jara coquettishly.
"Jara, the sun is so bright. I didn't bring sunscreen. Gosh! Will I get tan?"
As Jara held her waist, his long and slender fingers casually glide through the skin on her arm, then he smiled lightly. "I'll get Uncle Poick to send someone to deliver it over here."
After hearing that, immediately, Kayla surrendered into his arms. With a smile that seemed particularly annoying, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on the cheek.
"Jara, you're the best."
When Jara heard that, he let out a joyful laugh.
The complex look on Emmeline's face instantly became subtle as Jara's laughter added a touch of solidity.
After witnessing everything, Isaac couldn't help but sigh helplessly, yet, he pretended as if nothing happened when he went up to Emmeline and said, "Miss Illington, let's go."
Hearing that, Emmeline nodded and the two walked ahead.
While holding Kayla by her waist, Jara took a glance at them and did not reveal any change of expression. However, his deep eyes darkened a little.
The golf course was own by Jara's, so it was massive, with first-class service and facilities.
Anyway, Emmeline didn't restrain herself as she directly started playing the moment she got on the course, scoring all of her strokes. Seeing that, Isaac couldn't stop applauding and cheering for her.
Raising the corner of her mouth, she was proud of herself and looked extremely happy.
When Jara saw that, his eyes darkened a little. He then let go of Kayla, picked up a club, and walked towards the center of the field.
Kayla didn't know how to play golf. Although she really wanted to learn, she was afraid to tell Jara. Hence, she could only sit on the sidelines, and upon noticing how elated Emmeline was, she was extremely unhappy.
However, other than feeling displeased, she was not worried at all.
In her heart, she was thousands of times prettier and more interesting than Emmeline. Any man would know who to choose.
For someone like Jara, it was unlikely that he would lay eyes on Emmeline.
Thus, even if Emmeline knew how to play golf, so what?
She looked nothing but skin and bone, and even with clothes on, she looked really skinny. Clearly, if she took her clothes off, she would look as thin as a rake, and unattractive.
Hence, when competing with someone like Emmeline, Kayla was not worried at all.
After mentally reassuring herself, Kayla sat down on the chair. Meanwhile, Isaac couldn't resist the temptation, so he grabbed a club and joined them.
At the moment, Jara was holding the golf club while he looked at Emmeline and said casually, "Should we have a match?"
Without looking at him, Emmeline hit the ball directly, asking, "What are the rules?"
"As usual, two out of three. Whoever loses will owe the other person a favor."
With a pause, Emmeline squinted her eyes and watched as the ball rolled into the hole. Then, she smiled coldly and said, "Sure."
With that, the competition began.
When Isaac heard about it, he took the initiative to bear witness and become the referee.
In truth, there was nothing there to judge because the rules were all clearly stated, so he, as the referee, was actually redundant.
However, Isaac was unwilling to leave as he wanted to watch the two play. Since that did not bother them, he naturally stayed back as the referee.
Right away, Jara had scored the first goal.
Following closely behind, Emmeline scored too.
On the second stroke, Jara scored again.
Emmeline did not give in and scored as well.
When it came to the third stroke, the two exchanged a glance at each other.
Just when Isaac thought that the two of them would end up in a draw again, Jara smiled all of a sudden.
He straightened up and said, "It's getting boring this way, and there won't be any results. Do you dare to take it to the next level and try something new?"
He knew that Emmeline would agree as long as he challenged her.
As expected, she raised her eyebrows and asked, "How?"
Pointing at a ball under his feet, Jara continued. "Two of us will hit this ball. Whoever hits the ball into the hole shall win. There is no limit to the techniques and the rules of the game as long as you are able to score. So, what do you say?"
Hearing that, Emmeline narrowed her eyes.
And Jara added, "If you are afraid to accept it, just tell me. I won't force you."
As soon as he finished his words, he heard Emmeline giving out a sneer.
Without a second thought, she raised the club and said coldly, "Who says that I'm afraid? Come on!"
After that, she set her position and adjusted the club on the ground.
Upon seeing this, Jara smiled unconsciously but immediately retracted his smiles after a moment.
With that, the two began to get ready. On the other hand, when Isaac came over to understand the situation and realized that they changed the rules, he felt that perhaps this was the only way to determine the winner, and he was instantly filled with excitement.
He just wanted to see who would be the winner in the end.
So, as soon as the order was given, both of them made a swing.
Emmeline was the fastest, however, before the club touched the ball, it was blocked by another club that came from the side.
Her eyes narrowed in an instant, as she immediately leaned over and elbowed him in the chest before he could hit the ball.
